Once again we found ourselves on the doorsteps of this specialized bakery though the doorsteps have moved from the original location in Rockport to the center of Camden. Not a problem because our orders have not changed, a pair of lemon curd cupcakes and a single salted caramel. The salted caramel barely survived the short drive to our room before being consumed by the pair of us. The first lemon curd lasted only until shortly after dinner while the remaining one served as dessert the following night. All 3 were fresh and delicious though if I had to choose just one and only one that one would be the lemon curd.

This is also called the Cupcakery. The name on the outside of the building is The Cupcakery but the business name is Laugh Loud Smile Big. Its a bit confusing. Now that we are past that, you have to visit this place. THE CUPCAKES ARE DELICIOUS. Seriously delicious. Best I've had in a long time and I eat a lot of desserts. We tried the reindeer cake pop (yum), the white wedding (white wedding cake, creamy vanilla frosting), the chocolate peppermint (fudgey moist chocolate cake and peppermint frosting), and the lemon curd (vanilla cake, lemon filling). Each one was better than the next. Worth a stop if you are in the area. And the place is adorable and the employees are friendly and welcoming. Hang out with girlfriends, bring the kids, go buy yourself and order 6, just go.

My favorites!

Absolutely LOVE this place! The people, the atmosphere and of course the cupcakes! I recommend the lemon, salted caramel, raspberry....who am I kidding I recommend all of them!! I live an hour away and will drive to their shop for any occasion that I can bring cupcakes to! The cherry on top is they are a huge supporter of local charities so when I spend my money I know it will be put back into the local economy

Cookies and Cupcakes. Merry Christmas And Happy New Year

What a great place we found to send special treats for our son and his family. We live in California - so having a dependable - delicious company to make our loved ones really feel the love when we can't be there.

Such a great addition to our community! Every day the cupcake flavors change so it's nice to cycle through some favorite choices. The current location is walkable from the high school so our high school girls sometimes plan a trip there with friends. I like to order half a dozen or so at a time as a dinner dessert option. I also appreciate the ability to order ahead (by at least one day) if you want specific types or to pick up for a party. The flavors are tasty and varied. My son likes the Boston Cream, my daughter like raspberry and lemon filled and my husband likes the chocolate peanut butter. You can get most flavors in a choice of chocolate or vanilla cupcake. They have nice boxes that protect your cupcakes when you take them home. My favorite way to eat my cupcake is to pull back the wrapper and pour 1-2Tb of milk or tea to get soaked up by the cupcake from the bottom. :-)

Dozen to go

Located in an odd locale but once found there is plenty of parking. The cupcakes are not cheap but tasty and savory. I was first introduced to them at a wedding and I was sold. If you need something for a special occasion or just a mouth water treat, this is a great stop!

Then, you think about what life on the Island must be like in the dead of February and remember that is maybe not such a great idea. But, if you visit Mount Desert Island and are smart enough to visit the "Quietside", this place is worth a stop! I've been here each of my last three annual summer visits. You will see a large pink sign for Mansett Little Farm along the road on the way to the Seawall (a beautiful piece of Acadia National Park). You'll also see a sandwich-board sign advertising "Cookies and more". If you speed by, stop, turnaround and come back! You won't regret it! I never know what treats I might find available when I pop in, but I know there will always be something good. From the famed Whoopie Pie to raspberry bars to cookies and lemon squares - they are all so good. Oh, and the Hermit Bar - a New England specialty - SO GOOD! And - this place is totally on the honor system. Only once have I actually met a friend of the owner who was apologizing the the limited selection that day (I still got plenty). Prices are marked and a basket with cash change is there. I'm guessing it works, as this is how it's been and continues to be. Rumor has it - some of the treats are available in the local market as well. But, really, make the trek here and experience this gem! It's totally worth it!

If not answering your phone and allowing your message to indicate a full mailbox for days is any indication of your business prowess, you are an amateur. I learned about SPüN from our community manager and also very much love their cinnamon rolls, but…read morereaaallly love their cakes. SPüN does a lot of variety of custom order cakes and they're so nicely done. My first opportunity was my SO had actually ordered a green tea cake -- it was so good I couldn't stop shoveling the buttercream into my mouth. This year I opted for a Boston cream pic cupcake selection for the Boston cream pie lover in my life. The inside was a yellow cake base with the standard Boston cream in the middle and a hardened chocolate shell over cream on top. I made a special request for some lettering and they came packaged in a box that allowed for complete stability of the cakes. I accidentally left them out in a cold area prior to serving but they turned out totally fine! I would have normally done a regular Boston cream pie but circumstances made cupcakes an easier option. Will be trying the full cake next time. Definitely recommend if you're in the area -- ordering, customizing, payment, and pick up were all insanely easy.

THESE ARE THE BEST CINNAMON ROLLS I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE (So please ignore anything I've said stating otherwise that was written before this review was.) I had been warned that these were everything and more, and that still did not prepare me for how epic they were. They're the perfect balance of both dense and yet they melt-in-your-mouth; the "icing" (whatever notion you have of icing, throw it away because that's not what this is but a word hasn't been invented yet for whatever is going on with these buns) is sticky and creamy and has a little hint of citrus. And I am not sure I can never eat another cinnamon roll again, because these have spoiled me forever (I was swooning so much the first time we had them that my partner let me finish his as well!). Also: their frittata? I haven't had anything that good since living in Spain. Big, filling wedges of layered egg, potato, onion, and veggies. I'm hoping this will always be available vegetarian! Also; I ate it cold. And with my hands like it was a slice of pizza. That's the kind of monster I am, but it worked out deliciously! Spün you have IMMEDIATELY become one of my favorite food places in all of Maine. Can I make my holiday order for a half dozen cinnamon rolls and veggie frittata now?!
