This place was such a find! My friend and I went during our vacation for lunch and were instantly greeted by a friendly woman explaining the buffet. For $14.95 lunch included several pizza choices, a choice of soup, salad, choice of dessert, and a drink. The pizza choices were all so delicious looking it was hard to choose. Unusual combos and all had fresh toppings! I tried the barbecue chicken, potato, and a combo of broccoli and mushrooms. All were super delicious and had a thin but chewy crust. My friend tried a very unusual pizza with walnuts, feta, Craisins, and apple and she proclaimed it the best pizza she's ever had. We also fell in love with the carrot ginger soup, the light as air chocolate cake with cocoa frosting, and most of all the maple vinaigrette for the salad. It was so good we each bought a bottle to take home. The lunch is an unbelievable bargain for the amount of food and everything is made with such care. I wish I lived nearby because I would go all the time! The service, the food made with love, and just the pure deliciousness! Also they sell fresh vegetables and prepared food to go. The food was so good that we abandoned our dinner plan and purchased salads and very delicious chicken salad sandwiches on their homemade bread for dinner. Joined a group of relatives for Sunday brunch here the other day and was very impressed. A chilly morning trip to this out of the way restaurant/farm stand was rewarded by a cozy, warm and friendly experience. The seating is cramped along long tables, so you end up sitting snugly up against total strangers. Nevertheless, that is part of the charm; I spent more time talking with the couple next to me than I did with my own relatives. The food was fantastic home-cooking coupled with a wood fired pizza oven. It felt like a homey potluck, with lots of creative dishes offered. The staff was so friendly and the live music was a great addition. The most incredible thing was all of this could be had for $12 a person!! We came on a Saturday at 10:45 am and there were already people waiting to go in when they open at 11am. The pizza buffet was very good with many choices. For 12$ you can get all the pizza you want with salad, desert and drinks. There is also a menu option also. The cafe was beautiful,open and inviting with plenty of seating. Exceptionally clean. Located a mere two and a half miles from Dover-Foxcroft center, Stutzman's Farm offers not only fresh-picked produce but some of the best home-made baked treats in the area. If you come at the right time, the aroma of baking bread and sweets fills the friendly, open stand. Everything here is grown on the farm, which is located just down the hill from the stand. There's sweet corn, tomatoes, cukes, beets, chard, garlic scapes, onions, potatoes, and, in season, various berries. Baked goods range from organic breads to the most decadent 'classic' whoopie pies in the state of Maine. There isn't a huge selection here, but everything they have is top-notch. Although it isn't as convenient as the supermarkets in town, the quality of the produce, the prices, and their willingness to take food stamps makes Stutzman's a must during the harvest months. What a secret in the woods. This farm to table hide away an hour out of Bangor, Maine is well worth the drive. Their fresh greens topped with homemade dressings is hard to pass up. In fact I had 6 servings of it. Their brick oven pizza was even more of a treat for my tastebuds. They specially made a gluten free option for me. It was hard to choose among all the choices. I panicked when asked what would you like. There were a dozen pizzas already expertly crafted on the buffet so I chose one that looked delectable and said, "that one please just gluten free." I had consumed half of it before realizing it was meat free. This is a great place to get healthy natural food straight from a working farm. The staff are all very chipper and nice, the food is all delicious (especially the pizza) and the prices are on the low end. They also have produce, flowers, jams etc to buy along with sales or pies to go. Sometimes there's live music. The space is a newly build post and beam barn with a wood fired brick oven. There are chickens, pigs and pet goats nearby. It can get a bit warm in there with the oven going, but not too bad, and then again Maine is usually cold. I wouldn't mind them serving more breakfast stuff. read more

There was no buffet,the pizza was soggy,and it seemed like there was only one choice for lunch,at least that's all we were offered. 2 slices of pizza or three slices . it seems like the two slices came with a soup but the 3 did not.you figure. We loved the place in the past and drove almost an hour to get there. we'll wait til all settles down and try it again. I did not have the heart to give them the 1 star they deserved. it's a family trying to keep going and I do feel bad for them,but they probably should stay closed until they can give people what they have come to expect there. I love Stutzman's farm! Every summer when I go to Maine, I can't wait to pick up some delicious, fresh produce. The farm is located in a beautiful location. From the farm stand, you overlook the fields where they grow all their produce. Throughout the growing season, you get a great assortment of produce. I love greens; beet greens, kale, and chard. All are fantastic here. They also have great deals on peas, zucchini, broccoli, garlic, potatoes, lettuce, blueberries, strawberries, etc. You can not beat the freshness of produce that is grown just down the hill. Besides the stellar produce, they carry an assortment of local baked goods. The breads are amazing, though I was sad that the Anadama recipe changed from last year so it is no longer vegan but the oatmeal bread still is and it is to die for. There are local pies, cookies, brownies, and whoppie pies. All are clearly labeled with their ingredients, which is super helpful. The people are also really nice. They might be busy, but they are very helpful and will tell you all about the farm if you ask. You can also buy a $100 card and get $110 dollars of produce. If you go there often, this is a great way to save 10% and support the farm. Overall, go here. Everyone needs to eat more veggies, and here the veggies are the best. read more

We went to Stutzman's Farm for their pizza buffet while on a camping trip in the area. $10 for multiple styles of pizza, (bacon & apple was awesome) several different soups, salad, desert, and drinks. We were kinda blown away with how good everything was, especially the pizza. Probably ate too much but they kept putting put different pizzas with interesting combos of toppings so kinda tough to pull ourselves away. I can't believe what a gem this place is, way out in the middle of nowhere. The women in the kitchen come up with culinary combinations to rival any we've experienced, and we moved up here from a big city. I've frequented Stutzman's for years based on their super-fresh produce (I mean, you can see the fields right down the hill behind the store) as well as their delicious pies, but now that they've opened a farm-to-table restaurant as part of their business I make a point of going there whenever I'm up at Moosehead Lake. They have a wood-burning pizza oven that turns out some of the best pizza I've ever tasted (when they announce what's coming out next, like an apple-bacon or a veggie with fresh pesto, you can hear the patrons at the tables literally groan with pleasure), great salads and soups, and delicious desserts. It's mostly served buffet style, $9 for adults and $6 for kids. It's all you can eat, so I call that one of the best deals around. And the staff are wonderful. Not to mention that the drive up and down Douty Hill Road is one of most beautiful in North America, in my humble opinion. It's so great to see a quality business thrive. read more
