Just right. Calzones are the favorite in our house, the Italians (sandwiches) are generous and consistent.

The waitress was fine and the prices are about what one can expect in this economy. The potatoes were excellent! Nice and crispy. The blueberry pancake my partner had was excellent as well On the minus side it was pretty cold in there. The ceilings are high and the staff are moving and cooking but when I have to put my coat on and the food goes cold while still eating, someone needs to turn up the thermostat. I ordered a cheese omelet with a side of sausage. Received a sausage and cheese omelette. Yuck. The waitress brought me the side of sausage but did not offer and I did not ask to have the omelette replaced. I picked out the egg and cheese as best I could. When we received the check we could see why this happened. The sausage was not put in as a side but as part of the omelette. Either the waitress needs more training or the computer needs updating. Maybe just growing pains for the owner. We will return but not for breakfast and bought two gift certificates as well. Want to support the business and bring in new customers.

The ribs were overcooked and then they added the dry rub seasoning as an outer thought. Flavors were not developed and disappointing. But when you're hungry and don't feel like cooking around a camp fire, it did the trick. Also noticed a lot of tables waiting for their food, so service is defiantly slow at getting the food out. Depending on your level of needing to eat and location, I would recommend another restaurant.

A damn good pizza shop that has an almost vintage, late 70s, early 1980s decor. In an area of Ellsworth/Bar Harbor otherwise known for its craft IPA's, lobster rolls, and a dizzying plethora of seafood salad platters, Finelli does itself justice. Even on a Sunday night, they can do a brisk business & can sling it with the best. Their pizza comes with its sauce done circularly. And their half size meatball grinder should get a Silver Slugger award for its impressive enough portion size. Wow - it was good. Check out the retro arcade in the back, where $0.50 might get you a new high score on Defender, Frogger, Donkey Kong, or a half dozen other video games...all while Def Leppard's "Too Late For Love" might just be blaring overhead in the background. Here's to 1983, Pyromania, and Finelli. Thank you Maddy, we highly recommend this place.

I had a pepperoni slice, a mushroom onion slice, and a tomato pesto slice, all were very good. Crust was that perfect level of crispy and the cheese was slightly gooey. The storefront is adorable with its red barn color and Victorian vibe, and inside you'll find cozy seating areas both indoors and outdoors, perfect for lingering a bit after shopping. The staff here are beyond friendly and helpful. In fact, this is the very place where the "blueberry pie survey" happened. We asked the lady behind the register where to find the best blueberry pie, and she started to ask customers who came by who they recommended. They directed us to Moody's Diner. Locals and staff alike are quick to share stories and recommendations, which makes it feel like you're part of the community even if you're just passing through. The store itself is full of surprises. They've got a wood-burning pizza oven (yes, in a general store, how cool is that?), hot lattes, teas, and other comforting drinks, because nothing beats sipping a latte in a Victorian-style shop while digging into a fresh out of the wood burning oven gooey cheesy slice of pizza. Add in their great selection of beer and wine, plus Maine classics like whoopie pies and Moxie soda, and you've got something for everyone. A local gentleman even gave me the full history of Moxie, and that kind of friendliness is exactly what makes this place so special. Outside, you'll find pretty flowers and herbs adding to the charm. Owen's is quaint, welcoming, and one of those stops that makes a Maine trip extra memorable. Definitely worth a visit or 5! I'll most def be going back!

Excellent find! What a fantastic pizza!…read more We were staying at the fancy tent place up the road and were pretty hungry and fancied a beer or two. Whip out the trusty Yelp app and we are on our way to this wonderful little gem! I have found this app to be a great tool for finding local gems like this. We arrive and it's a bit under construction from the looks of it. This is a family business in the truest sense. They do all of the work themselves, at least when I was here. He is adding on to the place and creating more seating. He manned the oven and she waited on the tables and I feel like there were some of their children working in the back as well. There are a few other families there with us. One other from our campsite that I noticed when were arriving. I love the fact that the stones for the oven came from the ground right out front of the place while they were digging it up to build the patio. How cool is that?!?!? He told me all about it when I asked if he had built it himself. He hired a mason locally he said. Ok. Pizza hits the table. Wow. I could list 42 adjectives describing how good it was, but you just need to go see for yourself!! Perfect crust though!! Perfect! Do that as fast as you can! Come here by plane, train, auto, snowmobile, tank. Whatever. I even heated up the leftovers on a stone by the fire at the tent. Stupid good leftover too!!! Thank you to the Stones for a great meal and wonderful hospitality!! '26 - 25
