Latte and cappuccino

Staying in the apartment above this coffee shop, so we have these everyday. Can also attest to the deliciousness of the chocolate cherry scone

Cappuccino and cortado

Incredible barista, baker, and checkout experience. They hit the mark in every area. You will not be disappointed. Got the sour and chive scone and blueberry muffin. They were so good we went back and got two more scones. The maple spice syrup is delicious and perfect for fall. Got it in a cappuccino and my boyfriend got a cortado. Both great. Aesthetic. Perfect.

Coffee was great. However, Bit of an attitude from the girl being the counter because I brought my dog in. Despite it being a service dog. She never asked. She just assumed and told me "no dogs allowed" then told me to leave and she would bring coffee out. Honey cake was delish. First time trying that. Apparently, it is a thing here.

Great coffee shop! Everyone is helpful and kind. We enjoyed our chai lattes while listening to the music they were playing.

An excellent chai. Service is pretty good and it's right in the downtown. I would visit again.

Good drip coffee and not too expensive. Just wish they would have organic essences/syrups for the lattes.

Love the vibes! Soft snickerdoodle cookies, iced vanilla latte with oat milk, and a fresh ham and cheese biscuit.

I had a really wonderful cup of light roast coffee here while passing through town. Exciting to see this great coffee shop on Main Street!

Great coffee. Tons of Hario brewing gear. And bikes! I bought whole bean coffee that was locally roasted and very fairly priced.

Good coffee but limited options. Super nice people. Long wait but no other options, so best you can do here.

The Hoot - Corned beef and Hash with Eggs

The Hoot

Service, ambiance and food 5 stars. We recently had a…read morefabulous Middle Eastern dinner. Ordered the lamb with Orzo... mouth watering with incredible taste snd texture, falafel (Best ever and as a New Yorker of the Jewish persuasion I've eaten a lot of falafel) was incredibly moist. The accoutrements that went with it were outstanding and tasty as well. The three of us shared those two entrées as well as the beet salad which was scrumptious. The cocktails were fabulous... We enjoyed the margaritas which were fruity, flavorful and refreshing . For dessert, we shared the chocolate Babka . Don't tell my Bubbie that it was even better than hers. The only disappointment is that they close for the season, and that's what makes the place extra special for us . See you next year !

The Hoot continues its long tradition of inconsistent food and service…read more We arrived without reservation , the dining room was half full. We were seated promptly and waited 45 minutes for our food. I wouldn't object completely to the long wait , but the food that arrived was lackluster , and barely worth a mention here. I had eggs Benedict , eggs were overcooked and cold. My partner ordered the shasuka. This was an odd presentation with the eggs and sauce in a broiler dish , with pita bread and spinach on the side. I always assumed eggs and spinach , and sauce should all be together. Like so many restaurants I encounter in Maine , it's not that the food or service is that bad, but rather the fact that with minimal effort , it could be so much better.

Owen’s General Store - Wood-Fired Pizza

The storefront is adorable with its red barn color and Victorian vibe, and inside you'll find cozy seating areas both indoors and outdoors, perfect for lingering a bit after shopping. The staff here are beyond friendly and helpful. In fact, this is the very place where the "blueberry pie survey" happened. We asked the lady behind the register where to find the best blueberry pie, and she started to ask customers who came by who they recommended. They directed us to Moody's Diner. Locals and staff alike are quick to share stories and recommendations, which makes it feel like you're part of the community even if you're just passing through. The store itself is full of surprises. They've got a wood-burning pizza oven (yes, in a general store, how cool is that?), hot lattes, teas, and other comforting drinks, because nothing beats sipping a latte in a Victorian-style shop while digging into a fresh out of the wood burning oven gooey cheesy slice of pizza. Add in their great selection of beer and wine, plus Maine classics like whoopie pies and Moxie soda, and you've got something for everyone. A local gentleman even gave me the full history of Moxie, and that kind of friendliness is exactly what makes this place so special. Outside, you'll find pretty flowers and herbs adding to the charm. Owen's is quaint, welcoming, and one of those stops that makes a Maine trip extra memorable. Definitely worth a visit or 5! I'll most def be going back!

I've ordered their Medusa and Oinker pizzas twice this week. They are so delicious!! Whitney and…read moreMatt are doing a great job with this new enterprise. The store is beautiful, and everyone is friendly and inviting.
