We purchased a pellet stove from McCuin O C & Sons about four years ago. The day they installed it,…read morethey were professional, incredibly courteous, and definitely impressed us. Other contractors we've had in the home (from plumbers to electricians) have left messes for us to clean up or failed to show up when promised. McCuin didn't do any of that. The Harman they sold us has been an amazing stove that's given us no problems over the years. It heats the entire house and has virtually eliminated our need to rely on more expensive propane. The wood stove we have in the basement and the pellet stove in our living room has been more than enough. After this very long, cold winter, it started making a horrible squealing noise on Monday, fingernails on the chalkboard bad, and they had someone out within a day to look at it. The same guy who installed it came out and fixed it. Turned out a bearing in the auger was going. That they had the part on the truck and fixed it right there and then definitely impressed us. If you're looking for a pellet stove, I have nothing but high praise for the guys at McCuin and highly recommend them.

We have been customers for some time now and we recently had a propane delivery where their driver…read moreparked too close to our house and ripped the security system wire.. when I first contacted Erin it sounded like it might be taken care of.. but she basically said that it was my fault because the driver wasn't able to get to the tank... the tank is probably 20 feet from our porch and nobody has hit it before because their drivers pay attention.. she was very snarky with replying with a "happy holidays " after telling us they won't fix it.. the cable costs $20 ish and probably $75 to get it installed.. they definitely lost long term customer and as you can clearly see in the picture that the tank was easily accessible my truck wasn't there at time of delivery.. don't waste your time or money with this company.. they will destroy your property and tell you to basically get bent

Recently we had a catastrophic event due to flooding in our basement which necessitated getting a new hot water heater and a new furnace system. We had many interactions with multiple employees and all were extremely helpful in solving multiple problems. We ended up changing our system from oil to propane, mainly to get oil tanks out of the basement. We have since had mechanical engineers and a home inspector comment on what a beautiful job they did installing our new system. Very professional and nice people to deal with.

GO TO BLUE FLAME INSTEAD!!! Problem 1) Billing on historical estimates. Because Suburban bills on historical estimates rather than actual monthly usage, we got INSANE bills for our first winter, then found out that we had over $1000 in credit with them. You're welcome for the interest-free loan. Problem 2) A faulty regulator (their equipment) was recently replaced, and our daily usage has gone down precipitously following that. It appears that I've been overpaying for years based on their broken gear - no recompense, no offer, no apology. Problem 3) Absolutely terrible customer service. Empathy is evidently not a propane byproduct. Seriously, there are better options out there, and I STRONGLY suggest you investigate them before signing up with these imbeciles.

Only rarely have I had to call the Morrisville office, because they've always given me excellent service, but whenever I do, I get the nicest women on the phone. Tanya, Melissa and Anne (the "e" is just for you, kiddo!) are always friendly, helpful and efficient. And on more than one occasion, I think they went above and beyond their job requirements. I know Suburban Propane is a national company, but when I call Morrisville, I feel like I'm talking to a neighbor, not a representative of a huge company. These days, most huge companies have machines and foreign call takers. However, I prefer that my countrywomen be employed because we have plenty of poverty in the US. When I confronted them about the double charge they played dumb till I finally asked for an itemized bill then they magically realized I was double charged. After everything a payment plan was set up as I was leaving the building and needed to catch up. When their collection agent called me he tried to get me to make a payment plan with the overcharged tap on it. After fighting for days they made a payment plan with the fee for the lock waved for my inconvenience in WINTER. I have been out of that place for over 2 months and was charged again another 30$ for a "tap of the tank to close out" but was never put on my payment plan as it was added after. Shitty company that just wants to scam you for your money. VGS is the place to go! 60$ for my first gas bill.

Original supplier was Green Mountain Propane which was acquired by Vermont Propane and then eventually Blue Flame which is now Amerigas. Since being with Blue Flame we have had an undetected leak requiring a new tank after who knows how many gallons were lost, we have run out of gas in spite of being on auto delivery and then the pricing. For several years I allowed myself to be gouged before discovering Fuel User groups which easily knock over a dollar per gallon of the fluctuating prices I had been paying. Go ahead and try to call them sometime. Good luck getting anyone. Try the website, it offers an email contact. No one ever gets back to you. The only reason I still use them - with the pricing from the user group I'm in this is the best price I can get. Service is terrible. Just hope you never need to talk to them about anything.

No one could tell me how much propane cost, what the service period was on a bill I had received, whether my account was set to auto-refill, if I needed a contract or not, if I needed to prebuy my fuel or not, etc. That was last heating season. It's only September and the customer service run around headache has already begun with bills for propane use in August, service fees for service I declined and unreturned phone calls from supervisors. I would absolutely NOT recommend Blue Flame Gas.
