I can't believe I'm seeing all these bad reviews of Gillespie. I own a restaurant and have been…read moreusing them for years. They promptly deliver propane on a weekly basis. I have had them hook up new equipment in our kitchen and the service crew has always been here when scheduled. They put a propane heater in our living room which we have never had a problem with, Again they were here promptly when scheduled and did a nice clean job. If I have a problem with any equipment, I call Rob and he gets somebody here as quickly as he can knowing that we need that equipment to run our restaurant efficiently. When I call he always gets back to me in a timely matter. I would highly recomend Gillespie Fuels and will continue using them as long as were here.

First visit (sewer line clearing): The job itself was done well, but the plumbers used my personal buckets to drain the sewer without asking or cleaning them afterward. Not a huge deal, but not very professional. Second visit (hot water issue): We have a fairly complex plumbing and heating system, and after this visit, hot water wasn't restored to half my house. I had to guess which valve to turn back on myself, and I was never sure it was the right solution. I called several times over months to have someone come back and check, was told it would be scheduled, but no one ever returned. Third visit (leaking pipe replacement): The pipe was replaced, but I was billed for 2.5 hours of labor even though I have video evidence showing they were only at my house for roughly an hour, including a trip to the store for basic parts they should have had on hand. - The water was not turned back on properly--my wife discovered this after they left and didn't know how to fix it. - They hit the waste plumbing under my sink, breaking the tailpiece, which caused a major flood the next time we used the sink. I had to fix this myself. - They also used my ladder in the basement and left a puddle of solder on it. Overall, I'm very disappointed with the lack of care and follow-through. Based on my experience, I can't recommend their services.

I found him honest and forthcoming, and really appreciate it! The Patterson team has always been helpful and we have definitely thrown some challenges their way from running out of oil in the dead of winter by our own fault, and a broken furnace not supplied by Patterson on holidays and weekends and their responsiveness has always been excellent. We appreciate their partnership and feel better knowing we have Patterson to call on.

Don't choose Patterson, Choosing a home heating installer…read moreand provider is a major decision because you want to trust them to keep your family safe. Given our experience, Patterson does not prioritize safety. I had called for a simple furnace cleaning, and they red-tagged our boiler. They didn't tell us they disconnected our boiler, even though 2 people were home at the time. I found out the next day when I had an icy shower. When I followed up, they said they could replace it in 6 weeks. Their safety plan for us (2 senior citizens +) was to go six weeks without heat or hot water. Everyone else that we called recognized the seriousness of the situation and was willing to modify schedules to get us heat as soon as possible. But not Patterson. They did not care about our lack of heat and hot water. You can't count on Patterson for a fair deal.

This is the worst company that has ever existed in the history of the universe. They are shady,…read moredisorganized, rude, and couldn't possibly care any less about keeping customers. Be careful how you work with them because they will try to charge you for EVERYTHING. One phone call with them asking a question about my Rinnai light blinking ended up costing me $107 and they never told me ahead of time there would be any charge. They also will just overcharge you on your bills and then refuse to do anything about it. I'm turning mine off later and just using space heaters until my landlord renovates the building and changes the heat source/companies. Thankfully she also knows how shady they are.

I wish I could give zero stars, frankly, but Yelp will not allow that…read more The WORST company I have ever dealt with. First, they demanded that we wait at our new apartment, which never had heat turned on in the landlord's name for who-knows-what-reason, so it's 20 degrees. I told them this. They proceeded to tell me that there is no way they can "have a tech call" but that we (my husband or I) have to wait there all day. That the tech could show up anywhere between 8 and 4. My husband waited all day and called at 3pm because he was a little impatient... it was an hour before the cutoff. They told him they didn't get the application processed in time and that no one would come out. They never even bothered to call HIM, he called THEM to see where they were. Once he told me, I called them and told them it was absolutely unacceptable. He had to miss an entire day of work and now they were asking him to miss another half day? Ridiculous. They hung up on me. So there's my two cents. It's too bad they have a virtual monopoly in this area and can treat people like crap.

Only rarely have I had to call the Morrisville office, because they've always given me excellent service, but whenever I do, I get the nicest women on the phone. Tanya, Melissa and Anne (the "e" is just for you, kiddo!) are always friendly, helpful and efficient. And on more than one occasion, I think they went above and beyond their job requirements. I know Suburban Propane is a national company, but when I call Morrisville, I feel like I'm talking to a neighbor, not a representative of a huge company. These days, most huge companies have machines and foreign call takers. However, I prefer that my countrywomen be employed because we have plenty of poverty in the US. Thank you so much, Tanya, Melissa and Anne for always being warm and patient, and for always getting the job done. And thank you, SP, for hiring local people.

When I confronted them about the double charge they played dumb till I finally asked for an itemized bill then they magically realized I was double charged. After everything a payment plan was set up as I was leaving the building and needed to catch up. When their collection agent called me he tried to get me to make a payment plan with the overcharged tap on it. After fighting for days they made a payment plan with the fee for the lock waved for my inconvenience in WINTER. I have been out of that place for over 2 months and was charged again another 30$ for a "tap of the tank to close out" but was never put on my payment plan as it was added after. Shitty company that just wants to scam you for your money. VGS is the place to go! 60$ for my first gas bill.
