The parts all come as a kit for about $15 on eBay. They never called me back and after a month I stopped in to pick it up. Initially they wanted $135 for the parts and labor. I went to see it run before paying them. It wouldn't start. The mechanic is a total fool and obviously didn't understand two stroke motors. He insisted it would start on starting fluid or carb cleaner. He didn't even know that these are low compression engines and the seal is from the fuel oil mix. They swapped out my serviceable chain bar for another used bar and didn't provide the old bar which was serviceable , nor could they show me my old parts as requested. I told them I will take my tool to another shop and they prevented me from leaving with MY TOOL. I politely explained since they didn't do the work I won't pay them. The office Lady just laughed at me. They then scammed me for $35 for troubleshooting and for the "parts" they installed. They told me it was beyond repair which was total BS. I took it home and repaired it myself. Upon opening it up I found the following: -a used scraped off spark plug with the electrode shorted to the ground arm. - the same fuel lines and fuel filter I had installed before. -my old carburetor that they had sprayed with solvent but hadn't rebuilt. They never even removed it for inspection. I bought the service kit and replaced the fuel filter all the lines, a new carb, plug and air filter. It runs better than new! THIS PLACE IS A TOTAL SCAM OUTFIT -- If the mechanic kid is factory trained or certified he must have had a TBI. Don't risk your tools and don't go there. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!

It had been several year since it was last serviced but the fuel bulb split and I couldn't get it started. They replace the bulb and the fuel lines and now it runs like new. I then took a small 1500Kw generator that had a fuel leak. They diagnosed the problem quickly and did maintenance service on it. I got both back just a few days after dropping them off. Thanks again and I'll be bringing my small engine stuff back to them when needed.

Three of the four did come to our location and were to provide a quote. We did ask for three-four quotes due to the complexities of our move, thank you Covid, and gave everyone the opportunity to put on their thinking caps and come up with figures that made sense and wouldn't put us into one of the cardboard boxes we were moving our things with. Rich Sorenson called prior to our appointment to get a sense of the dates we were thinking about and to be the first on the planet of cell phones to ask where we were located. That never can be a good sign when you're getting ready to hire a moving company, amirite? He showed up without a mask (smack in the middle of Covid). We gave him one of our prepackaged spares since we're a first responder family. He claims he must have left it on the ground at the gas station. Nice. Asked a lot of questions. Took measurements. Seemed checked out (this isn't our first rodeo when it comes to getting estimates and moving). And then crickets. No email. No quote. No phone call. And yes, we did check our spam. Unless he was emailing in broken English from Nigeria, nothing in the spam box was from Sorenson's. I did read another review that spoke of the same net result. I feel bad for the employees who are missing out on work because their estimator is slacking off. But I can't be bothered with making a follow-up call to light a fire under the owner's son's butt when I found some phenomenal out of state movers here locally that were johnny-on-the-spot with their estimates. If you're like us and looking to move out of this godforsaken place, you might want to check out the smaller guys who are working hard to make a name for themselves.

Some time back we requested that they move an extremely heavy, upright grand piano into our upstairs apartment. For some reason they didn't believe us on how cumbersome the item is and didn't send enough people, and we had to wait for more guys to come to help lug it up a flight of steps. Thankfully that occurred same day as the item was downstairs outside. Fast forward to moving out. We decided to call them again and though they had notes in their system about the previous move we still made sure to stress it had required five guys last time and is extremely heavy. We also arranged to swap the washer and dryer in our place with ones that were in storage. My husband took time off work to be around for the window they'd arranged and what happens? They send only two people. As no one else was available, we had to wait until later in the week meaning my husband needed to leave work early once more and we had to move the washer and dryer hanging out in our kitchen. We were told to expect a phone call before they were on their way which would give my husband time to head home and that it would be sometime around noon. 11AM rolls around, I'm having some quality lounging time in a towel after showering, and Sorenson's Moving shows up at the door. I explained they were an hour earlier than we'd been told to anticipate and it was deflected with a not so helpful "We didn't know about that." I let my husband know to head home ASAP while they waited outside as I dressed and when he arrived around 11:15 they started moving the piano. By 12:30 things were wrapped up and the person collecting payment was insistent he had to charge the full amount without compensating us at all (they charged us for 1.5 hours at $140 an hour for a total of $210 as they apparently charge double for time spent driving) and stated if we wanted anything for the inconvenience, to contact the owner. We thanked him, passed over a check, and decided against pursuing it further as we're pretty busy due to leaving the state in a few days. The items were moved without damage, the guys moving stuff are polite, but the communication between owner, receptionist, and the movers leaves a lot to be desired. I also find it disappointing that the employees are not empowered enough to be able to make decisions about compensation and that they would tell us to contact the owner instead of making a phone call then and there to ensure their customers are satisfied. Our experience with Sorenson's was extremely underwhelming. Not completely awful, but frustrating enough that I would not use them again unless there were literally no alternatives.

I bought the most expensive policy - AAA Plus. It costed around $200. While going across country, one of the lights on my dashboard came on. I looked in my car book and it said do not drive the car. I was only about 20 miles from the next small town, but I stopped and called AAA expecting help. When they found out I had a trailer, they said they could not help me. They could tow my car, but they could not tow my trailer. They expected me to leave my trailer with all my belongings in it by the side of the road. Or I could pay them to tow my trailer. They told me that there was no one in that small town 20 miles ahead of me that could tow my trailer. They said I had to wait for someone from a hundred miles away to come to my location and tow my trailer and I had to pay for it. I sat there for 4 hours in the blazing sun while someone from a hundred miles behind where I had just come from drove to my location. When the tow guy got there, I asked him why somebody from the town 20 miles up the road couldn't come and tow me. He said he did not know why they sent him from so far away, because there were at least three tow services from the town 20 miles away that could have towed me. He hooked everything up and we drove 20 miles up the road. I had to pay him a hookup fee and a per mile charge for towing my 5 x 8 trailer 20 miles. This amounted to over $200.00 - after waiting over four hours for him to get there. He unhooked my trailer at a motel there. Then the driver took my car and dropped it off at the mechanic that AAA had told him to drop it at. AAA told me that they notified that mechanic that I was coming and they chose that shop because he had time to see me. The next day, I had to walk (no taxi's in this tiny town) at least a mile to the mechanic and got in my car so I could sit down and wait. The mechanic was late. I got on the phone and called him. He said he was somewhere else in another town and would be there in about a half an hour. When he finally got there, I told him what AAA had said. He said AAA never called him, he had no idea who I was and could not work on my car for at least a week. He was very mean and rude. I asked him if he could just please look at the warning light that I was talking about on the car and tell me what it was. I put the key in the car and the warning light did not come on. He said, "Well, I don't see anything, so there's nothing wrong." I got in the car and drove away. I went back to the motel and tried to hook my trailer up and I could not. I pulled two guys out of the parking lot to see if they could help me hook the trailer up. One of the guys was so strong he lifted the trailer a bit and then it was able to go onto the hitch. The trailer jack that I had bought for the purpose of me being able to hook the trailer on and off myself proved to be worthless unless the trailer and car were on completely flat ground. When I got to my final destination, I went into a AAA office and talked to a manager about this incident. I feel as though I should be reimbursed for AAA having forced me to pay for my own towing. They also sent me to a mechanic who had no idea I was coming and did not have time to work on my car for a week. They refused to reimburse me. They said their towing packages only apply to cars. I told them that when I initially bought my AAA Plus membership, I told the person exactly what I was going to do with it, and she never mentioned that trailers were not covered. AAA told me they would not compensate me for refusing to pay trailer towing fees. What they would happily do for me though is give me a $50 credit off my membership for next year. So their solution to this issue is ME giving them another $150 of my money instead of $200 for their worthless towing package. Really nothing out of their pocket to solve the problem! AAA packages are WORTHLESS. I will stick with the towing policy that comes with my regular car insurance. It is only about $35 and also comes with a free rental car if yours is in the shop.

NOT nice people running it and they overly enforce those rules, for what reason, I'm not sure. We needed a storage so we could have everything in one spot a couple week before we relocated to the bay area. Everything was smooth until move out day. We had professional movers helping us, they entered the gate behind another car while I was settling paperwork in the office. The gentleman in the office made a HUGE dramatic scene about them "not using the gate card". He stated that, in the event one of our movers "opened someone elses storage or something was stolen" we would be held liable, as they were illegally on the premises because they didn't swipe a key card according to him. This sounds like something made up, but I apologized and let him know we were unaware of that rule and it wouldn't happen again. I guess my apology for our honest mistake wasn't enough because he followed us out to our unit and confronted the movers. He scalded them like young children who had knowingly broken rules. It was, in my opinion embarrassing for all involved. I felt bad for the movers because they were hired to be there to help. It wasn't their fault and he couldn't give anyone a break. I apologized over and over again once he left, it wasn't right of him. His tone was forceful and snide. Adults have zero business speaking to other adults that way. He treated them like criminals.They didn't break into the storage facility, it was the first time any of them had heard "the rule" of not entering behind another car. The gate was left open at one point during the evening and he made the humongous semi wait and drive thru the other side. Don't get me wrong, I understand the need for gate codes and key cards. Safety in this day and age are very important. With that being said, there is a fine line when enforcing rules and being on a power trip. He needs to watch the way he interacts with people, being rude is bad for business and I will never recommend this place to anyone I know because of him. Also, there is a woman who also takes an annoyed tone with people. I was trying to move out and her final words to me were "you better sweep it out and leave it the way you got it or you'll be charged 20$". Treat people the way you want to be treated. End of story.
