It's just month to month, and they told me they just mark up the propane 80 cents over their cost which seems very fair to me. Their staff was very good on setting up the tank swap, and the driver has been super nice when he comes to fill the tank. I would highly recommend Reliance Propane because they don't play the games with contracts and stuff like other companies do. And I have been real happy with the service and all of their staff I have been in contact with has been very nice.

Needed a big trailer but there were none at the location (or anywhere in Chico). Ian tried to find trailers in other locations, found one in Orland at a independent garage, but it cost twice as much than through U-Haul directly. Mark Jimenez (regional manager) was there helping out, as the store manager was away. He said he was just up in Magalia CA and there were three trailers there. He offered to go up there and get the trailer (which he did) and bring it back to Chico. At 5:00 I got a phone call from Ian, the trailer was there... come get it! Employees like this need to be recognized for their hard work and customer centered attitude! We were able to fill the trailer and left for Boise at about 7:00 the next morning. Even though we are now in Boise ID, I will continue to use U-Haul here.

No "hello, welcome in, how's it going" ... NOTHING. I was looking around at the boxes trying to figure out why the large boxes didn't have handles (seems odd that only the small boxes have handles when the large boxes are the ones that REALLY need handles). I waited to see if any of the two people would ask if needed help but alas, STILL no customer service. I ended up taking a large box up to the counter and asking where the handles were. One person came out and looked at the boxes and said, "I guess they don't have handles" and went back behind the counter. I grabbed the boxes that I needed, walked up to the counter to purchase them, and when I tapped my card for payment, I was told they don't offer tap. It's either you bring in your physical card or pay cash. So aside from the horrible customer service their business is also in the ice age. Who doesn't have tap to pay as an option at this point??? SUPER ANNOYING. I rarely carry cash nor do I carry the physical cards because they're all stored in my phone to use for TAP PAYMENT. Luckily, I had a couple bucks in my car for parking meters and paid with that. I was asked if I wanted the receipt, I said yes, took it and walked out. No surprise that there was no, "thanks for coming in", "have a good day" or anything else. Literally even the most basic customer service skills are lacking here. Great place to go if you want to be ignored.

I had to return a large fan, incorrectly purchased in the first place (wayyyyyy too big for the room/my fault).... I was afraid I wouldn't get it back in the box as it was originally. Bennie said "no problem, it doesn't need to be in the box - we can do it for you." Music to my ears. And then he helped me get it all from the car into the store, and with the most beautiful smile. Harbor Freight is so fortunate to have Bennie, and I'm grateful for Harbor Freight. I will definitely be back!

I've returned a few things like a bed frame for a twin bed (around $130, unused and box was unopened which made the return easier), and some reflective heat shields for insulation and weatherizing homes that I returned (around $50, unused so the return was easier). There were a few items I wanted to return but didn't or it was too late. A $20 soldering iron (just felt like I should eat the mistake on the $20 soldering iron instead of making Home Depot eat it) and a $99 camping rocking chair that I don't like (figured out I didn't like it after the return window closed). But all in all, Home Depot has great prices. They offer a Veteran's discount which is huge, because very few places offer that. And they have good products. And the return process is one of the best.

I have decided to change my review from a 1* to a 4* and here's why:…read more Background: tank gauge didn't work, made me think I was ripped off, no one at TriFlame would help me so I filled a BBB complaint and left reviews on all sites I could find. Owner calls, said it shouldn't have been a BBB thing.... yeah okay dude, then help me next time before it gets to that! Anyway, propane did last a long time, I do believe it was just the gauge, but the person filling should see if it reads correctly, and if it doesn't, have a tech fix it! It's partly why I'm still leaving it as a 4* because TriFlame should not deliver faulty tanks. But my tank was switched out for free and got my tank filled so I no longer have any problems. So yeah, the owner needs to understand that customers have legit issues and he and his office workers need to help customers better. it was a really long and complicated thing. But the prices are low and the guys who come out are always friendly.
