For their breathtaking work, uncompromising excellence, and deep kindness, I recommend Weiler's with my whole heart! From my very first email exchange with the team, I was greeted with warmth, optimism, and a can-do attitude, despite my limited budget and small, quirky kitchen. Walking into Weiler's beautiful and welcoming showroom, I met with designer George, who shepherded every step of the project with unwavering integrity. Having never done any home renovation before, I was a little overwhelmed. But George made the entire process easy and extremely fun! He made sure he truly understood my vision and guided me with expert insight. The week of the renovation itself was an unforgettable experience - of joy! If you are looking for a team who will treat you and your home with dignity and respect, Weiler's is in a class of their own. Every member of the Weiler's team, including their contractors and partners, not only did exceptional work, but was also a standout in kindness. Over and again, they went above and beyond to ensure that everything was as beautiful as I dreamed. The end result was a kitchen that feels like my own little slice of heaven. I am still giddy every time I walk into the room. Thanks to George, Pete, Colin, Patrick, Alexandra, and the whole team, it is more wonderful than I could have hoped ... and yet, they came in at the very bottom of my budget! Everyone grumbles about home renovation projects being stressful. Yet working with Weiler's was a blessing from start to finish. I will cherish memories of "renovation week" forever! I recommend this honorable, gifted, warmhearted, utterly exquisite team with complete confidence! I am now a loyal Weiler's client for life.

We hired Reico (and worked with Cindy) for a full kitchen redesign, and the most important element…read morewe asked for was an island that would seat five people comfortably, with storage on one end. We were extremely clear that the seating needed to be unobstructed--essentially, a counter-height table extension from the cabinets. The final design we approved included an apron, but no measurements were provided to explain how it would impact stool clearance. The rendering even showed five stools at the island, which gave us confidence that it would work as intended. Unfortunately, that was a huge mistake. Because of a poorly designed apron, it is physically impossible to fit standard counter-height stools under the island. The clearance is so low that no stool exists that both fits under the island and allows you to sit and eat comfortably. In other words, the centerpiece of our kitchen--the island seating--is a total failure. It is appalling that a professional kitchen designer would overlook such a basic and critical detail. We assumed we could trust her expertise, but that assumption has left us with an island that cannot function as designed and no reasonable options to fix it without a major renovation. If you are considering working with this company, be warned: do not assume the designer has considered the practical details. Double-check every measurement yourself, because we learned the hard way that they do not.

My husband and I met with the designer (a great lady- big picture-oriented and practical) and her recommended contractor (a knowledgeable, detail-oriented guy who took the time to explain things), and we were excited. When we received the design and estimates, we did get a sticker-shock with respect to the markups of the costs. Based on our designer/contractor interactions, however, we were still considering Reico, even with the markups! But, the level of responsiveness dropped dramatically. Before we knew it, we were informed that our designer (the great lady) was "no longer with the company" and I now have all these spam-type calls from random people I don't know at Reico. Rude.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience with Lang Kitchens and Baths…read more We did internet research to winnow down the candidates who seemed to be the best choices to completely combine our separate dining room and kitchen into a totally redesigned, large country kitchen. From the first time we visited Lang's beautiful showroom in Newtown, where we received a warm welcome from Mary Ann, we were impressed with both John Lang's and Dana Petrillo's expertise and professionalism. Unlike the other design firms we dealt with, who came up with a price before we even chose our options, John and Dana came up with pages of choices, enabling us to choose how much we wanted to spend for each individual item, from faucets to floor. We particularly appreciated the computer design of our kitchen plan; an immense help! Phil Boyer did the major work, expertly removing a wall and adding an island and replacing all of our cabinets, easily more than doubling our previous storage space. Phil was not only highly-skilled but, to say the least, engaging and willing to incorporate our ideas. In addition, the electrician (Scott Gafgen), the floor installers (D&D flooring), and the plumbing company (Gallelli's) who are associated with Lang Kitchens were patient, professional, and able to answer all of our many questions. We can't say enough about Dana, our design consultant, with whom we stayed in close touch, and who handled any situation which arose, inevitable with this large a project in an older house. John, too, was able to articulate and explain suggestions he had as the project moved along. We're thrilled, to say the least, with the final product, which has garnered rave reviews from family, friends and, perhaps most importantly, the grandkids!
