Look I love the food here but when it comes down to the service today on 10/28 around 4 pm when I walked in I wasn't welcomed not one employee said hi or what can I get for you , There was this girl with black hair and had her hair everywhere around her face and a very long ponytail ... first of all if you work in fast food at least have it in a bun hers was everywhere , and the way she was training the other girl just didn't seem inviting or the correct way to follow company standards read more

This is our favorite place to get sandwiches. They always exceed our expectations. The location is clean and staff is knowledgeable. I love to see them cut the meat fresh for each sandwich. Last evening, our community held a gathering to celebrate the opening of the pool for the season. Grinders (subs) and lemonade were served, along with other picnic-like choices. The subs were purchased at this Submarina shop and were delicious. The bread was excellent, especially the Squaw Bread! The choices were ham, turkey and Italian. Long loaves of bread filled with meats, etc. and sliced into generous portions, made a nice presentation. Everyone wanted to know where the subs had been made. Bottom line is this place is much better than subway. They actually slice the meat when u order your sandwich. In my opinion, any sandwich will be good as long as it contains squaw bread, banana pepper, and of course their boom-boom sauce. Also, if u buy 9 sandwiches, you'll get the 10th free with their frequent buyers club card. On the downside, it can get a lil pricey and there are no public restrooms. read more

I'm in town visiting and wanted a fast food lunch that wasn't a burger and fries, so based on Yelp reviews I decided to check out Submarina. I had never heard of this chain since there are no locations in Ohio. It's more like Jersey Mike's than Subway since they slice the meats and cheeses for each order. This makes it a tad slower to get through the line, but it's well worth it. It seems expensive, but the subs are huge. I had an Italian Sub with provolone on Italian bread. The meats and cheese were tasty. I didn't notice anything significantly better or worse through all of my toppings. Those were very fresh and different from what I'm accustomed to. Instead of banana peppers they have pepperoncini peppers which aren't something we have regularly offered in the midwest. It was a good substitute. They didn't ask if I'd like my sub toasted, so I don't think it's an option. I would have preferred it to be, but it was still a fantastic sandwich. A relative had the meatball sub which looked great. read more

This place has the nicest staff and they are always attentive. This particular location takes into account the area and I always like seeing the MX decor, even though I don't MX and never have. It's just cool to see them embracing a different vibe and decor than most submarinas. I live right down the street and frequently visit this shop. Love Submarina...My wife and I go in on occasion and most of the employees there as well as the owner know exactly what we order each time. That makes us feel like family there! We love the squaw roll bread. If you haven't had it yet, make sure to try it. We usually get the vegi sandwiches. Man, they really put on the avocado too and at no extra charge. YUM. Went in at 6:55 not realizing they closed at 7 now. Asked if they were closed, employee just said "In 4 minutes." Asked if I could still order and the employee said it's up to you? And I said Well have you already put everything away? And he just looks down at the counter. So I said again "well can I order or did you put everything away." He said "it's up to you!" So I just turned around to leave and he said in a snarky tone"Have a great day!" So rude and unprofessional. You got to be kidding me. This place is the most ridiculous sandwich shop I've ever been to. They have one employee making sandwiches and the second screws around with the soda machine for 20 minutes effectively excluding him from actually making a sandwich. You poor souls that come here for a quick meal will sadly be disappointed with one person making a sandwich it will take a long time. I went to the shop today to buy one sandwich every person in front of me was ordering three sandwiches or more for their workers friends or lovers. I waited over 45 minutes to get a sandwich there were only four people ahead of me in line but of those four people each ordered for sandwiches in the manager who's worked there forever screwed around with the soda machine trying to figure out why it only blew out soda water. Maybe he should get his ass on the line and make sandwiches and get people out Oh yeah I guess I should comment about the sandwich. I ordered the ARB on squaw bread the employee that made my sandwich was attentive enough but the meat that I received on my sandwich was all fat when I made my first bite in the sandwich all I tasted was gristle and fat I have never had a sandwich as disgusting as I received today from anywhere in my life. I've traveled over for continents and sampled food from all four. The food at submariner was literally the most disgusting place I have ever eaten in my life I will be requesting county health to investigate this place as everything I saw was either old not fresh and of course the meat they served was fat only not actual meet. Wow! That's a good sandwich. Having recently moved to California, I was looking for a good sandwich shop. This place was new and near home and decided to check it out. Very happy! The bread roll is very different and makes the sandwich tatse better. Yes, subway is slightly cheaper but the quality of ingredients is so much better. And when you ask for avocado, you get plenty of it. Staff is very friendly, location is clean. Have gone back several times, because it's a damn good sub! It was a scorching 108° in Menifee and I was craving a cold sandwich for lunch. I looked up local sandwich shops and this place popped up as a choice. It was my first time at a Submarina and it did not disappoint. My sandwich was delectable and the customer service was top notch! I wish they had a location in North Orange County. The wife and I love us some Submarina! The bread is always so soft, unlike Subway. We stopped in here on our way back from Riverside. It was a little jaunt off the Highway, but we were hankering for a sandwich and did the Google search -- and ta da! This place is located in a newer strip mall and you could miss it just whizzing down the road. The two women working the day we stopped were both quite friendly. The sandwich ingredients (I won't bother you with what we both had, as that is subjective to each individual) were very fresh. The gals did a great job putting the components together. We ordered the tuna salad sandwich and the turkey club and both were amazing! Ingredients tasted fresh and the sandwiches were very filling. The did not skimp out on either the meat or toppings. I have always loved Submarina ever since I first had it years ago! They have the freshest sandwiches! I'm giving only this location 1 star because on two back to back occasions I had gotten hair in my sandwiches! I know things happen, and I hate complaining about my food. Not only did I get hair in my sandwiches, but they were trying to say it wasn't their fault. It couldn't have been anyone else's. It couldn't have been DoorDash because the food is sealed when delivered. It all comes down to food preparation. They made the sandwiches and there was hair in them. I tried to talk to a manager to resolve the issue and see what could be done for me because of the inconvenience, but they didn't want to do anything for me. I basically was wasting my time and money. Like I said I am only giving THIS LOCATION 1 star. I love Submarina, but I don't want to risk getting a hair in my sandwich for a 3rd consecutive time from this location. Maybe it was just bad luck, but the custom service was horrible. I have been a fan of the Submarina chain for years, unfortunately tonight (2 April 2018) I was served a sandwich with thin stripes of plastic in it which I imagine came off the salami. I noticed a 3 inch very thin strip at first, hoping that was it, I took a few more bites then began to choke very violently, after what seemed an eternity I removed a 6 inch strip of plastic. Trashing my sandwich, I'm only relieved that it wasn't one of my kids sandwiches or my wife's. I purchased 4 subs, 3 of which were fine, the forth was a health hazard!! read more

OBSESSED with Submarina. I used to work at one a few years ago and grew to love their tasty sandwiches. Idk why but they are so good compared to others. Maybe it's the fresh sliced meat? I love submarina. You get the most for you money; moreso, than any sub sandwich place I've been to. You get a huge, tasty sandwich for $9-10 and it's fresher than most of the places around here. For instance, Jimmy John's only gives you a tiny sandwich for the same price as submarina; so does Jersey Mikes. I love both sandwich places, but I think as far as bang for your buck goes, submarina is the best place to go to. This location has extremely professional employees, clean store, nice owner.
