After years of having my 2009 Subaru Forester serviced at Shortline Subaru, last spring (2018) I made the move to Subie Auto Repairs. Like many car owners, I found taking my car to the dealership convenient and easy, and I appreciated the free shuttle service and other amenities. I love this place -- great customer service, friendly owner/mechanic brothers -- who run a fair business and don't rip people off. I had several sensor lights in my Subie coming on whenever I hit right below half a tank (Check Engine, Low Gas and Cruise Control). I called Comprehensive Car Care on Evans first. The guy quoted $100 to hook up my car to the computer and run a scan. (BTW - this process takes less than 5 minutes....can you say RIP OFF?!) Then I called Speedy Roopair in Aurora, she said $50...getting more reasonable, but I still wasn't sold. Before making a final decision, I hopped on Yelp and read two 5-star reviews about Subie Auto Repairs. I called and spoke to one of the brothers, Islom, who said, "No charge, bring it in." I took my car in Saturday. (Yes, the shop is open for half-days on Saturdays!) I watched the computer scan - again - less than 5 minutes. He confirmed that the fuel sensor was the issue and we made plans for Monday to repair. Not only did the brothers give me an old loaner Subaru for the day - as long as I put in some gas - but they charged me half of what a dealer would have charged. My total bill was under $220. I have become a big fan of the Subie Guys, Islom and Rustam. Having just met them last summer, I am impressed with the quality, timeliness and cost of their work. Whatever your problem, you will find Islom and Rustam to be honest, straightforward and reliable. The Subie Guys have made repairs on my 2002 Outback and my fiance's 2005 Outback. They have "package" pricing which is VERY economical, especially when compared to Subaru dealerships. As stated on their business card, they will beat any written estimate by 15%. In my case, I think I beat the 15% threshold and even walked away with a couple of extras free of charge. Can't beat that! Furthermore, I have found two great friends that always entertain my questions and even provide me with advice should I want to make minor repairs on my own. I shopped all seven 'independent' Subaru shops I could find in Denverland, these guys had the best prices. My '07 Outback needed a timing belt and new head gaskets. They were one of only two that offered a warranty and the only shop that offered a loaner for a three day job. I read good reviews here on Yelp and decided to give them a try. I am so far completely satisfied with the work, the communication and the service. They found a couple other things I needed and fixed a heating control switch for a very reasonable price. Islam rocks!!! I'll be going back and recommending this place to any other subie owner I know. I am a buyer by trade and feel very good about this purchase/find etc... We were traveling from out of state (drove from Columbus, Ohio) in our Outback and were having issues with shearing wheel studs that two other shops on our journey claimed to have fixed. It wasn't until I found Subie Auto that my car actually got repaired, and the shop owner, Islam, made sure the repair was easy on our wallet. If we are able to move out to Colorado on a permanent basis, I will make sure that our Subaru is always maintained by these guys. We made it back to Ohio with no further issues and I have put nearly 3000 miles on our Outback since the repair. I had issues with power steering that my normal mechanic said required a full power steering pump replacement. The garage was so booked, they couldn't get me in for weeks. Lucky for me, my mechanic referred me to Subie Auto Repair, but unlucky for him since I will only go to Subie from now on. They got me in the same day I called, found that it was just the O rings that needed to be replaced and had me back up and driving in under two hours. And, they also found that belts and brakes needed replacement and did that, too! Extremely fair pricing, fast and efficient repairs, what more can you ask for? Couldn't be more pleased to finally find a reliable, honest, professional place to take my 2018 Subaru. I have not had good luck with Dealerships and other places I have taken my car. I needed my AC checked as it was running sporadically. It was recharged at another place and still not working. Subie found a leak and repaired what was necessary. Also replaced my back brake pads that another place told me they were fine. They helped me get caught up on some other services I asked them to check. The price for the excellent work was fair. This place is great. I was told to go there by my most trusted Subaru repair person when he couldn't do the work that needed to be done. The Subie guys did a head gasket repair at the price they said they would (great price!) and faster than they said they would do it. I since have gone back for another repair and they did it just as well. They also repaired my unicycle at no charge. Both my Subaru and my unicycle are working great. Now that I know about Subie Auto Repair, I plan to keep my 2000 Outback for another five years. Don't take your Subaru to a person that does not know Subarus. These people know Subarus. read more

I trust Subie Auto Repairs. I had a sudden major engine oil leak and I was treated honestly and shown just what was going on when I took my '90 Subaru to see these guys. They worked with me, they answered any questions, my car was up on the hoist and they showed me exactly what was wrong. Their prices are fair and their work ethic is strong. Being a single female, one of my worst nightmares is having car issues. Many places can make it an awkward event dealing with simple or major car repairs and diagnostics. These guys are honest and stand behind their warranty. I'm a sales rep and have put a few highway miles on my '04 Outback. I've had a full head gasket package from Subie Auto and have been really happy with the performance ever since. They also replaced a radiator for me. The car was running a little hot, but not completely overheating after the repair. I took it back to the shop after 3 months and they found the radiator to have a manufacturer's defect. I now have another brand new radiator and only had to shell out a little cash for the fluids. The car is also now running like a dream. Stoked! read more

I had a "check engine light" indicating a fuel injector issue in my '95 Subaru Legacy and brought it in. Rather than replacing the injector, Rustam recommended that I first try an injector flush by adding a product to the gas tank. I followed his advice and the "check engine light" did not come back on! I spent $23 on the additive, versus a possible $300 estimated bill for replacing the injector. Rustam would not accept reimbursement for his fine advice. 5 stars isn't enough, should be at least 7! These guys are GREAT! My '93 outback lost the harmonic balance and the repair quotes from everywhere else were out of sight. Not only did these guys give me a super price they finished two days earlier than promised. To sum it up-if you need repairs on your Subaru, that are not covered under warranty, you have rocks for brains if you go anywhere else! I highly recommend these guys. They did some major work to my 06' Impreza engine, for a fraction of what the dealership would have charged, and I feel with more attention to detail. No more rough idle, misfiring pistons and they even took the liberty of making everything under the hood look clean as new! They were also cool enough to throw in a free oil pressure sensor, which was going bad. Subie auto repair brothers are very fast , I took my 2013 Subaru forester over to Subie auto repair and they welcomed me . My check engine was going off and they said they will fix it for less , rather than going to the other opinions in Colorado , most of the other dealers were giving me really expensive prices , but Rustam offered me a good price that I could afford. These guys are easy to deal with. No frills and low key. They've got used parts laying around the shop if you are not interested in investing a lot of money in your old subie, but also had some newer subaru vehicles in there too. I sat in the garage talking with them as they diagnosed and worked on my Outback. I got the impression their first priority was saving me money instead of replacing every single part that may or may not go bad in the next 20K miles. read more

The tail lights quit working on my Outback and the check engine light sometimes came on. I took the car to Subie and just tapping various fuses and relays they fixed the tail lights. Using a computer hookup they analysed the car's computer and cleared the check engine light by resetting its memory. This all took 20 minutes and they did not charge for it! I love them and will return when I need to have work done. read more

Since my usual Subaru repair guy (Buddy from Mobile Mechanics) doesn't do head gaskets, these guys were recommended to fix my head gasket. They were way less expensive than anyone else. Seemed very knowledgeable and completed the work in less than 2 days. My Forester is now running great with no burning oil or coolant odor. Solid work for the price.
