Dragon's balls, it's just frozen fruitloops what a joke.
Ashley A.

I would give this place zero stars if I could. Horrible and rude service. The ice cream is sub par at best. The workers pretend not to speak English or understand you if you ask questions or have a complaint. Will not be returning. FYI Dragon's balls, it's just frozen fruitloops what a joke. Not clearly described on menu. I was there with a group of my students. My student tried to get a refund and all the workers pretended not to speak English. My students do not have a lot of money, I ended up having to buy her an ice cream to replace it.

I really could give it zero stars, but it won't let me. Very cool idea!! So i wanted a treat after dinner. What better than ice cream. I asked a few questions and the woman behind the counter just didn't speak English. I believe that if you are taking orders you should know how to speak enough to take orders. I asked for PB Instead of caramel on my sundae. She just looked at me and put it on anyway. Then I said I wanted PB Cups and she put heath bars. I asked again for more pB sauce on top. She put the whipped cream on and then some (very little) on top of the whipped cream, so i got no PB with the actual ice cream. Just disappointed

I came here for a sweet treat after leaving a Yelp event. I stumbled across this place as I was walking down the street and saw the sign. I said why not and dropped in. I got the peanut butter scoop. The customer service was good. The place was quiet. I was able to get and enjoy my scoop pretty quickly.

You're as coooooooold as ice! This place was so cool. I like the fact they have so many selections that you can choose from. The ice cream was very delicious and tasted very fresh. The toppings were not over powering either. The staff were very nice and helpful also. The place was clean and welcoming. The prices are very affordable also! I most definitely recommend this.

Very delicious, pretty decent service, and nice interior. The only thing is the price is a little expensive. A small nitrogen ice cream was over 8 bucks. It was really cool to see how they make it with nitrogen tho. Would recommend if you are willing to spend a bit extra for a cold treat.

Sub Zero is located across the street from Centennial Park, near the Georgia Aquarium. They are busy on a Friday night and the service was quick and friendly. We ordered 2 dragons breath, strawberry dessert storm, Mango and strawberry smoothie. My kids enjoyed the dragons breath and it kept them entertained. Both smoothies were your typical smoothies, nothing special. The dessert storm was a strawberry shake with a donut on top. Between my kids and husband they didn't finish this until the next day, it was delicious but too sweet. Solid place for dessert if you're looking for something sweet near the aquarium.

4. Peanut Butter Bonds Combination
Divya J.

Got the 'Peanut Butter Bonds' combination. It had chunks of brownies that were too sweet. But overall the flavor of the peanut was good. The ice cream itself isn't anything out of the ordinary. You pretty much pay for the concept of 'liquid nitrogen' ice cream. They don't let you sample the flavors before ordering! :(

Cookies n Cream
Rob C.

I was told the cookies n cream was the best seller - so I went with that. Very sweet, but good. Love the service and the atmosphere was ideal. My wife tried the "mocha madness" - and I realized I should have gotten that instead as it tasted better imo. On top of that, the way they make the ice cream is a sight to behold. Would recommend

Lemon Italian Ice
Aether G.

I ordered the lemon Italian ice. I'd give it a 7/10. It was more sweet than the lemon ice cream I was expecting. It stained my lips and teeth so keep that in mind when you consume. I also tried the dragon's breath balls thing. They're okay. 5/10. It's like eating fruit loops. This isn't something I'd particularly order but my friends really like it. The root beer float was also my friends but it looked cool and yummy. Inside was clean, service was good. The employees speak spanish which was cool as a Mexican visiting Atlanta. It's nice to speak my native language out here where I don't expect it lol. I would return to try other ice cream. The experience was pretty cool honestly.

Stopped in for a sweet treat between the aquarium and World of Coke attractions. The concept is so fun!!! I opted for the Dragon's Breath. Unfortunately, I didn't know what it was when I ordered. I was thinking they were ice creams balls or ice balls with nitrogen, but they are actually like freeze dried cereal balls. So not the icy cool treat I was hoping for, but they were super fun! I docked 1-star for cleanliness. The tables were gross.

We were downtown recently and love Sub Zero! This has even more toppings & options than the locations we have been too!! Loved it!!!! Friendly team, great service, and very popular spot!! Worth it!!

Butter pecan ice cream (not creamy, no nuts, and was tasteless)
Sandra K.

Not sure how this place thrives. The employees don't speak English well and had to consult each other when asked questions. We ordered butter pecan ice cream (hubby's fav). It had no nuts in it at all and the flavor was way off, and bland. I had the green tea ice cream and it too tasted strange ... not like green tea, at all. It tasted more like key lime flavoring. We asked for sugar-free ice cream and the employees didn't understand then said "no", then "yes". So, still we don't know what we received. The ice cream was not creamy. The restaurant was not clean inside (tables and floors). This was by far the worse part of our tour downtown. We plan to continue with another tour soon and this will not be a stop! We have been business owners in a business that served food and know food regulations. The owner needs to clean this place up and make sure the employees comprehend English and most importantly that the ice cream flavors are good and the restaurant is clean. The prices are not cheap for the amount you get so one would expect to at least get good product. Horrible experience for us. Not recommended.

After a long work day, this was an excellent detour back home. Great flavors, delicious ice cream, very cool setup, and overall a great time. Parking is free outside. Pros: rich flavors, unique, free parking Cons: pricier than expected Service was very quick. I recommend the lime cheesecake!

A Special Shout-Out to Mike at Sugar Shane's…read more I've already given Sugar Shane's a shout-out, but I definitely have to give Mr. Mike his flowers! Mike is truly the face of Sugar Shane's, and honestly, he is the reason I even know about this place! If it weren't for seeing his videos on TikTok, I probably would have never discovered Sugar Shane's ...and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one. His videos are always so exciting, welcoming, and encouraging that they make you want to come out and experience it for yourself. And today, I noticed something that really stood out to me: several of us showed up because of what we saw from Mike, and we were all complete strangers to one another! That says a LOT about the impact he has. His energy, personality, and hospitality make people feel welcomed before they even walk through the door. So, Mike, this shout-out is for YOU! Thank you for being so personable, enthusiastic, and genuine. You're doing more than selling cookies ...you're creating an experience and bringing people together. While my dietary restrictions didn't allow me to partake, the girls and bestie enjoyed their treats. They just had ice cream and cones. We agreed that we'd have to come back a different time to try the donut/ice cream sandwich! There is a parking garage next to this storefront that is partially public parking and partially residential. The public parking is three dollars for 30 minutes. You have to pay it on your cell phone, and they charge a $1.20 service fee. So 30 minutes of parking is actually $4.20. This was just enough time for us to go inside order sit to eat and get back to the car with five minutes to spare. Luckily, we went in during a slow period, because we were able to order right away. Also, there is only bar top seating with four barstools, so it was the perfect amount of seats for those in my group who were eating. Most people who came behind us did a grab and go.

When I walked up, all of the chairs were up so it looked closed, but I peaked in, and they confirmed they were still open. I was greeted with a smile and asked to taste the vegan flavors which were lemon, mango, and berry açai. I'm happy they had multiple vegan options and we're willing to let me try them. I ended up going with the Bory since it was made with oat milk and had oats and berries in it. The lemon and mango were more like sorbets. I gave it a four stars because it was a little bit more expensive than anticipated and they charged a dollar extra for the vegan options. Not sure why vegan options are more expensive, especially if they are similar in size as the non-vegan options.

It tastes like gingerbread in a cup. You can pick out every note, from the cinnamon all the way through to the coffee, and no flavor drowns out the others. The place is not large however, the cases are definitely filled with a lot of goodies. On this particular day, it did take us a little while to make a decision as there are quite a few choices. However, the two staff members who were here that day were very patient with us. We did walk away with macaroons a lemon meringue tart as well as a Canele. You know what it's in the pictures. I do not have a picture of that because it was eaten before I got a chance to take a picture of it. But everything was so tasty absolute perfection. We went to the amazing Atlanta aquarium, and the Yard is a short walk away. The menu is a good size, and there are a good variety of options, we had a hard time choosing. It was not very busy during our visit, considering how involved the shakes are to make, we did not want too long. Our group of three each got a milkshake jar. They are pretty pricy, you do get to keep the jar. I had the salted Carmel cheesecake. There was a bit too much whip cream. The shake itself was very good. It was topped with a peice of cheesecake, which was still frozen. I was not a fan of it frozen, we ended up taking some of the dessert toppings home, and the cheesecake was good later. I was surprised my niece did not finish her Brookie Batter, she said it was too chocolate. I tried it, and it was too intense with the cocoa. They had a washing station if you get a jar shake to clean it and take it home.
