First time visiting Georgia and had to stop for some pastries. The cashier was really helpful and super friendly. The display of pastries was easy and very organized! Loved the ease of picking different pastries. Very modern and clean!
Desserts are great! Georgia Peach and Matcha Strawberry were tasty desserts, mousse was sweet and creamy Honeycomb latte was pretty sweet... gotta let this dilute a bit haha but overall it was good GF said her peach green tea.. the peach wasn't really existent haha Plenty of seating inside!
Cute shop with multiple yummy sweet treats. The desserts were fun and tasty. We did not try any of the drinks this visit. The staff were friendly. The shop itself was decent with plenty of seating though could have been a little cleaner. Our favorite of the treats we tried were the basque cheesecake and the fruit and fresh cream cake.
It's still a toss-up on the baristas but the service today was awesome. I can certify that the coffee is really good and has a robust flavor. The matcha latte (lavender) is definitely super sweet but I was able to get it "least sweetened" through some customizations. Bakery items are always fire, though! And it's a great place to get work done. Music can be loud sometimes but I like their playlist :)
It's a nice place with amazing bakery items, and quick service. You grab what you want on a tray and queue up for check out. The coffee was amazing too, we tried their best per their staff; the honey comb coffee. The place was well decorated and spacious for a sit in too. The 'Oh My Mango' treat was awesome. The kids loved it.
Super clean, very laid back feel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The dessert is also very good.
This is a fresh take on bakery and cafe. Mist items are self selection and the pastry types are unique. The service was quick and pleasant and the space is very open, bright and welcoming.
Stopped in for breakfast. I had a Castelo's cake and the girlfriend had a garlic hot dog. Both were great! My cake tasted like a pound cake but very fluffy and light. Her hot dog was loaded with flavor. They have a nice selection of baked goods that are typical in Asia. We both had Vietnamese lattes which were very rich and had a nice, complex flavor. It was a bit pricey but for food this good I can look past that! J.Ja
Always on the hunt for some unique cafes for local coffee, I stumbled upon Hansel and Gretel in my Yelp research and was not disappointed! The layout and structure felt very familiar if you've ever stopped at a Paris Baguette, where you grab a tray, parchment, and tongs to select from a mouthwatering selection of pastries and other baked goods. Although I grabbed a tray, I didn't opt for any pastries because the colorful spread in the dessert case distracted me, so I focused on those instead. I was on a mission for coffee and decided to try their most popular Honeycomb Latte (just 3/4 less sweet, because I like to taste my espresso!). I asked the barista if she recommends it best cold or hot, and was grateful she said hot was best. The latte was delicious, still a tad too sweet for me, but it gave me the instant caffeine boost I needed. For the sweets, it was so incredibly difficult to choose, but we ended up with the Georgia Peach (of course) and the Java Chip tarts to go. Both mousses were delicious, perfectly light in flavor with a fluffy texture, and the shortcrust pastry was delightful. Hubby and I savored these with every bite. My one regret is that we didn't have a chance to stop by again before leaving the city -- but next time!
For the benefit of my waistline and bank account, I am so thankful this bakery isn't close to my home or work. I was in Atlanta for a business trip and Hansel & Gretel was just around the corner from the hotel. I visited each day of my trip. The first day I grabbed a hot chai latte and the chocolate mousse sleeping bear. The latte was pretty standard and got me through the afternoon lull. The mousse was not too sweet and had a rich cocoa flavor - I loved it. The next day I tried an iced latte and a mochi donut. I asked about the latte vs milk tea and was told the milk tea is sweeter. The latte was a tad too sweet for me but still good. The mochi donut was good with that great chewiness that comes from the rice flour. My last day in town I picked up a beef and vegetable croquette and nut thin cookies for my flight home. The croquette was delicious - a little bit of crispiness from the outside panko breading, and a flavorful filling. The cookies were super thin and crispy and great for a little sweet treat. I wanted to try one of everything and seriously, the white chocolate orange lamb was adorable. I told everyone at my conference and many people stopped by during the week. I'd absolutely go again when I'm next in town.

Overall, it's a great spot to visit if you're in Atlanta and looking for high-quality baked goods and a good cup of coffee.
This bakery is such a cute little stop! There are plenty of baked goods prepackaged, freshly made, and boba tea options with REAL tapioca boba! My only "ehh" is going to be these weird fruit pastry things...they appear to be the trendy fruit pastries and are not! We ordered a lemon one to find out it's like an overly gelatin filled dessert. The flavor is only interestingly off putting because of the texture. The gentlemen were very kind when checking out, but didn't really offer help in choosing a good option. They also failed to let us know they only had enough boba for one drink, leaving my hubby pretty disappointed after mine was already made. I think I'd like to try their cheesecake and maybe their breakfast pastries, but perhaps another time.
This location is right around the corner from the hotel that I'm staying at for the week here in Atlanta. I just arrived the day. I stopped here as I was walking around just one or two blocks to see what places there are to eat or grab something to drink and so forth and I decided to stop in here because I love local bakeries and this place has a really nice selection of freshly made selection as you can see in a pictures. The inside is spotless and everything is well laid out so you can see what everything is. The staff was very friendly and helpful and very prompt on putting your order together so to speak. I do highly recommend stopping in here for your sweet treats. read more
Isn't that chocolate bear sooo dang cute!!! That's what got us from the reviews and photos to come here for breakfast. Intoalky walking in, I love how much sunlight pours in and how many tables and seats there were. You grab the pastries you want and put them on a tray. We got the chocolate bear - so yummy, an egg pastry, an egg tart, and strawberry pastry, all of them were good - I especially liked the bear. I got a matcha and if you look at the color, it's super watered down by the milk. You could barely taste any matcha. So that's why it's a 4 star. I couldn't really even finish it, but I liked the pastries and location! read more

It was my first time and stopped by since it was near me. Got here around 11am on a weekday and you can tell the most popular items are already gone. They have a good selection of pastries, bread, cookies. We got the Choco Kroongi and it was pretty delicious. We have them in LA as well but not like this. I liked the crunchy texture, pefectly sweet, and the size was pretty big. We also got a strawberry matcha, skip this, it was more milky than matcha. You can tell by the color that it was too light. The place was clean, plenty of tables to work or study. Service was okay, cashier looked confused when we asked about certain menu items. I would've liked to try their mousse desserts, maybe next time! read more

We came across this place as we were walking around downtown Atlanta. Very clean, spacious and quiet place to grab a snack, dessert or a drink. I didn't order anything, but my family enjoyed their green tea and coffee. read more

Hair in the food, be careful. They make the place look nice and charge an absurd amount for each item but then I found a hair in the sleeping teddy dessert. Gross. They refunded ONLY that item but charged me for the $5.00 macaroon + tip I left. You prepared and sold food with human hair in it - you should have refunded the entire order as a gesture and in order to avoid this review. Not even an apology for the poor service. Do better next time, especially in how you prepare the food. I'll never feel comfortable consuming food from this establishment. read more
This place saved me on a recent overnight stay in downtown Atlanta. My hotel room had something about it that was making me feel icky, so I needed somewhere to park myself for a number of hours and get some work done late into the evening. Fortunately, this place was open until midnight, had very good espresso drinks, and offered a number of tantalizing treats, of which I enjoyed a nicely made custard bun. There were plenty of seating options, and I liked the work-friendly vibe created by a number of groups of students heads-down in their books and laptops. I'd be here often if I lived in Atlanta. read more
Adorable bakery on Luckie Street that's a nice walking distance from me! There are nearby parking lots with low fees if you're driving, which is super convenient. The space is cozy and welcoming, perfect for getting some work done or enjoying a drink. The staff were friendly and ready to help, which made the visit even nicer. The pastries looked absolutely delicious, I didn't grab anything this time, but I'll definitely be back for a sweet treat! read more

Presentation and taste score 5 stars! Ambiance was very cozy, nicely decorated and centered located. Nice entrance and simple yet elegant decoration. I was not even sure if there was music, but it was a relaxing environment where I could spend hours there to work, type, email, or juts catch up with a friend. Parking is street parking, easy. Friendly staff. Will come again and definitely try the drinks and other desserts. read more

Hansel & Gretel has the best frozen yogurt. I swear I crave it after every meal. With so many frozen yogurt places disappearing around the area, I'm so glad this spot is still around. The yogurt is always so good, and it's my go to whenever I'm in the mood for something sweet. If you're a frozen yogurt person, you need to try it. read more

Service was wonderful ; the staff was awesome, especially Kennedi, who was super kind and attentive. I stopped by while in the area and tried the Vietnamese Latte (half sweet), but unfortunately it was still extremely sweet and the espresso tasted burnt. I was pretty disappointed since I had high hopes. Thankfully, I switched it out for their Jasmine Green Tea (unsweetened) and that totally made up for it! It was freshly steeped, poured over ice, and super refreshing. I didn't get to try their pastries, but there were tons of options that looked great. The café has lots of seating and outlets, making it a nice place to hang out or get some work done. If it were based on the coffee alone, it would've been a 1-star experience, but because of the great service, ambiance, and the tea, I'm giving it a solid 3 stars. read more

Hansel & Gretel was the perfect stop for my matcha fix while visiting Atlanta. The matcha was strong and delicious, and the bakery had so many pastries and sweet treats to choose from. Everything looked amazing, and the whole place had such a cute, cozy vibe. A really yummy stop and a great find while being a tourist--highly recommend! read more

A unique coffee shop concept in Atlanta! I was visiting for a concert and stayed near by. We came by Hansel and Gretel for breakfast and were not sure what to expect. On a weekday morning, it was very slow. At the front door, you pick up a tray with a liner and a pair of tongs, then walk around the display cases to pick out your food. Most items were covered so I felt good about cleanliness. While paying at the counter, we asked if they can toast the food items. There is a self-service toasting station in the side of the cafe. Coffee was prepared behind the counter (cream, sugar, etc). Next time I would not share a tray with my group since the trays acted as our plates. read more

It was nice to find a nice Korean bakery/cafe in downtown Atlanta. They have a good variety of lattes and milk twas, including dalgona and strawberry matcha drinks. The drinks tasted pretty good and were reasonably priced, but the bread and cakes here were definitely on the pricier side. Overall this cafe was very clean and aesthetic and good for working or hanging out. read more
