We needed a quick bite and wanted something simple. Reviews looked good so we stopped in. Super nice counter help. Great menu. We opted for a wrap, a sandwich and salad. We dined in. The salad came drowning in dressing. The entire bottom was soaked. The pita bread was fresh. My wrap was boring, no flavor and overcooked chicken. I'd say 3 ounces tops. Ordered a large vegi sub $8.25 substituting the green pepper and onion for roasted red pepper and added avocado sub now cost $13.08!!!! $5.00 extra for roasted red pepper and slight avocado! I will start off by saying that the food is decent; we have ordered the Chicken Finger Sub many times in the past- however, because of the TERRIBLE experience I had tonight- we will not be returning. I walked in to pick up my food this evening (04/08/2021), I was told by a male employee that would be another ten minutes until it was ready. I sat in my car, and then went back inside. Immediately upon entering, I heard shouting. The owner and a male employee were screaming at each other cussing and throwing things in the kitchen area. At one point, another employee (Rosie) was told to shut the f**k up and called derogatory names when she tried to alert them that there was a customer in the building. All of this was going on while I made my presence known; they didn't care. Had I not already paid for the food, I most definitely would have left. It took over three minutes for Rosie to come out to the pickup window - she then apologized to me and said "that's how it is around here" while shooing me along as she handed me my food. I have never felt more uncomfortable in a restaurant in my life- for the owner to be fighting back, yelling and cussing at an employee even WITH a customer in the building really exemplifies what a kind of place he is running. You can't order on the phone in advance and they don't allow you to customize your sandwich or salad. It will be made the way it's offered online with no exceptions for food allergies or food restrictions such as diabetics etc. The owner is rude plus he refuses to toast subs! The food is expensive which didn't matter to us because the food is good (with the exception of soggy rolls). We used to order at least twice a week for 3 of us but NO MORE! He will notice that he is losing his local customers and will feel the affect this Fall when the tourists are gone. read more

Sub Crazy is literally crazy !!! They have really good subs and they have some bomb chicken and fries !!! They are very friendly and they have a lot of drinks to choose from. They don't toast subs and don't have cheeseburger subs which it's a be down side to what I would have ordered. Customer service is absolutely terrible. A group of my friends and I are visiting the area for the second time in 6 months, we came to Sub Crazy the first time and loved it and had no problems. We decided, being in the area, we would return so we went today on our way to the lake. We called in the order ahead of time so it would be ready for us upon arrival, the guy who spoke to me on the phone, turned out to be the owner, was beyond rude. He was giving attitude about how subs were the same when, in fact they were not, and told me I didn't say I wanted a topping on a sub, that I mentioned multiple times, also stating he would not go back to fix the order. Despite that, he would not read me back the order, claimed it was all correct so he would not read it back, and when I asked a second time for him to read it back to me to double check, knowing he had made a mistake on the first sub of a 7 sub order, he told me he did not have time to read it back. After getting the subs, 2 of them were in fact wrong, so we called back to let them know that the order they insisted was correct was not correct. On this call I spoke to a women, who informed me the man I had previously talked to was the owner as she continuously called me rude even though my friends and I barely spoke to them. We grabbed our food, paid and left because we had nothing to say to such a rude establishment. This experience was super unfortunate considering we really enjoyed the subs. Ordered from them many times over the years. Always excellent. Today, I ordered 3 sandwiches online (because you have to order online now). I couldn't order a custom sandwich with just ham and salami. I had to order the closest thing, the Italian, & add a note that I didn't want the other 2 meats. Okay, fine, but I'm paying for all 4 meats. I pick up the sandwiches, the grumpy guy assures me he added more of the ham & salami to make up for the other 2 meats. I say thank you and drive a half hour back home. The other 2 sandwiches were loaded with meat, wonderful. The "Italian" had a ham and salami layer so thin I would have gotten a better sandwich had I stayed in Plymouth and ordered from the local pizza house. Very disappointed. READ THIS REVIEW I recently vacationed in Meredith for a month. In that time I had gone out to eat regularly, SubCrazy is by far my favorite place to eat when in town. I've indulged in everything from their salads, pizza, Italian dishes and subs. The mouth watering subs. I live in Jersey and I have still have yet to come across a sandwich that tastes better than what Subcrazy has to offer. The owner Pete knows his shit and he never disappoints. One day I walked in craving pizza and he pointed me in the right direction. Their pizza (mouths watering talking about it) is the best in town. Don't waste you time with the place down the street that has pre-made pizza pans delivered just to reheat and disappoint you. When you do grab a pizza from Subcrazy I recommend The Arugula Pizza . Yes finally a nice family owned sub shop where you go in, look at the menu and don't see something but they make it for you anyway. Don't let the name fool you, these people aren't crazy like Jack Nicholson in One Flew over the cookoo's nest, they are crazy as in we want you to be happy and you have to try this sub...... They are located next to the case and keg, which is never a bad thing and moved in where subway moved out. I love small businesses and have disdain for the common man restaurants up in the lakes region. I had the chicken Parm and it was fantastic, my eating partner had a roast beef sandwich that was made "just like kelly's" according to the man making them. I found this hilarious for so many reasons, but mostly because half the people visiting the lakes region have no clue what Kelly's is. Now this fat kid that grew up with his GT Mustang cruising America's oldest public beach Revere truly appreciated such an analogy.... They have specials that give you free two liters of soda or free chips or whatever but all gimmicks aside this place seems to be right on track and my hope is they survive the winter which can be very difficult in this town.... read more
