It's not like the traditional sweet-and-sour chicken that I'm used to other Chinese food restaurants and when I say it was bright red, yuck it was disgusting I was also given bone in ribs instead of boneless and I am pretty sure they're April was more like the consistency of a spring roll which I do not like others may but I did not. The broccoli was undercooked. We would return again and order rice (which really should have been provided). The food was flavorful. Unfortunately, there were no fortune cookies. The food was ready when we came to pick it up and the order was exactly what we wanted.

When I got here, it gave the same vibes as any other local Chinese restaurant that's in a neighborhood. The staff were super nice. Greeted me with a smile and everything. I was able to place my order online and it was done right on time. I must say, this spot is better than my local spot I normally go to that is 5 mins away LOL I wish this was the spot next to my house, instead! The chicken wings hit me with some good memories with me and my dad. We used to go to this spot in Chinatown when I was a kid and it had the same flavor and crisp. Man. The rice was pretty good as well. Moist and flavorful. Loved that it had bean sprouts! Some places charge $1.50 for it! (My local spot lol) Boneless spare ribs were also good. Overall, I highly recommend coming here for your Chinese food fix. My only complaint nowadays is that chicken wings that is included in your combination, one piece is considered as one now. It used to come as a whole. You know what I mean? Man, has time changed....

We forget how fortunate we…read moreare, I've tried Chinese outside Eastern MA and it just doesn't compare to any places in the North Shore. My friend Joe lived in New Orleans, and he would be ravenous for Chinese when he would come home because the quality is so much better here. I'm sure there are other areas in the country with great Chinese. Anyways, Honga is no disappointment! The pork lo mein had me hooked, it was part of the D11 (3) combo. I opted for crab rangoon, which can be somewhat a challenge to find the perfect balance. But Honga nailed it, great ratio of crab filling and fried wonton. The pork fried rice didn't have sprouts, which I actually prefer. I didn't find a whole lotta pork in it, but it was tasty, a little dry. Nothing a little duck sauce couldn't fix. I also got peking ravioli, oh they were juicy but a little bland. The sauce helped, but was mediocre. I will say service was super fast. That was a big bonus. The restaurant has plastic barrier up around the counter. It's a little haphazard but it works. I was able to sit and wait in the shop, however I do not believe they allowed dine-in as an option (I ordered in person and handed my food in a bag). They may have a table set up with utensils, I forgot to grab some. Fortunately I keep a couple pairs of chopsticks in my bookbag. I ate in my car while waiting for the laundry to dry. It was the day after a night shift, it's always a wasted day because I sleep when I get home. It was my one meal Saturday, and it satisfied all those cravings.

I was hoping they would return and they did, and offer delivery service now! I love their fried rice. I think it's my favorite in the area. I haven't found anywhere near me that has rice as good and having lived in the Gloucester area for years I can say nothing there compares to their awesome rice. We called before their opening hours on Saturday to double check that we could order delivery later and they were kind enough to take our order right then and not make us wait until they officially opened. I thought that was really nice customer service. We gave our order and within 20 minutes the delivery arrived. Easy and the delivery man was really pleasant. My only complaint, and honestly this could be our fault as I don't know how old the menu was that my mother had on hand, was they got the order wrong. They had repeated back the combo plate numbers so I know they took it down right but I wonder if the menu changed. I wanted a combo with fried shrimp but instead got one with a bit of everything - a pretty traditional combo with chicken wings, teryiaki, chicken fingers and the pork strips. I didn't love the pork strips but everything else was tasty. Very filling as the portions are huge. My mother decided to plan her weekend meals around the food and ordered two dishes. The chicken chow mein she loved. She thought the egg foo young was just okay. We also somehow ended up with 4 egg rolls. I think she may have accidentally ordered them but no complaints as I love their egg rolls. We also got a side of crab rangoon which was very flavorful. Price wise and portions are amazing. You get a ton of food for the money. And I was very impressed with their great customer service this time!
