When my Mom and I stopped in a few weeks ago, I was pleasantly surprised. When you enter, drive in off of Darrow Road and park in the back. You'll see the sign instantly. Once you're inside, you'll be greeted by a stairway with an intersection of two floors. The bottom floor is filled with furniture, artwork, and other various home furnishings. The top floor is filled with purses, women's wear, jewelry and other accessories. As an avid consignment/vintage hunter, I can easily say that Twila's has one of the best furniture collections i've seen. Eyes can be deceiving on this place. The bottom floor is quite expansive, and I was wildly impressed with their selection of mid-century and Victorian style bedroom sets....particularly, the tall, old fashioned dressers with lock and keys, which are simply beautiful. The clothing selection is also impressive. While the store is generically organized, its worth it to go through all the racks, since many of them are out of order. I loved their wide variety of styles and sizes, and was happy to see quality brands like Coldwater Creek, Chico's, Kate Spade, Kate Landry and others. Of late, estate-saling has become my hobby (it's good to do something other than work, as long as it doesn't require more working to fund it), and I came to Twinsburg this morning in quest of a set of Pyrex nesting bowls. I stopped into Twila's on my way back home, thinking I might find another Pyrex prize, and was pleasantly surprised to find a bright, attractive, and well-stocked shop with helpful employees (the cashier signed me up for their rewards program and let me know during my birthday month to expect an email with 15% off as a gift -- I will be back). The lower level was well-organized and filled with furniture, décor, and housewares (the reason I stopped in), and upstairs were racks of clothing (spaced generously apart; not a bunch of stuff crammed close together), outfits displayed nicely, jewelry, shoes, and accessories, with sale items clearly marked. I dislike shopping for clothing (jeans and a pullover is my go-to uniform), but found several items I liked in a short amount of time, tried them on (the dressing rooms were a lovely surprise! Plenty of hooks, an ottoman, clean, pretty, large mirrors), and bought two blouses that will surprise the rest of the tops in my closet. I'm glad I stopped in; should have done so sooner!

During my first visit, the shop had a sale that extended to the sidewalk. I stopped in after hearing about this shop's sidewalk sale on IG. Layout: The first floor of the shop is mostly dedicated to men's and women's clothing and home decor (lamps, statues, and furnishings). The basement includes nostalgic items (such as trolls and Disney memorabilia), furniture, and clothes. Be sure to pause on the stairs leading to the basement to take mirror selfies and to shop for funky mirrors. The store is really an eclectic mix of unique pieces (such as African wood carvings), vintage accent pieces (such as funky yellow faux leather chair), and modern clothing (such as dresses from Ross). It's like a flea market meets discount store. Prices: Prices are absolutely all over the place from $20 for a wicker basket to $595 for a vintage chair. Most prices didn't make sense to me in terms of condition and price. Almost all items are clearly marked with the price. I didn't make any purchases after browsing the store for a while since everything seemed pricey or not necessarily matching my style/too outdated. I didn't see any deeply discounted items during the sale. Customer Service: Customer service was pretty friendly and employees social. Although I've noticed a shadow while browsing the store which was unpleasant. Parking: Parking is available at the back of the store, parking lot is shared with nearby businesses. There are also limited number of spots available in front of the store (usually busy on weekends). Events. Check out the store's Instagram for upcoming events such as sales and clothing swaps. I would recommend this store if you want to spruce up your space with unique handmade furnishings or art. Especially when it comes to global accent needs. The store is less appealing for clothes. Most clothing is equivalent of thrift finds at a higher price point.

So, alas, Yelp world, let me help you discover Vignettes. Located in downtown Hudson, Vignettes is a seriously beautiful store. This gorgeously curated shop is a perfect place to pick up any type of gift: engagement, bridal, baby, birthday, or hostess. Its so hard to describe their items. When you first enter, there's beautiful art amongst elegant tablewares and entertaining pieces. It flows into candles and aromatherapy, then into holiday decor. Then it turns into beautiful jewelry, elegant baby items and high-end women's clothing. They also have some of the most gorgeous cashmere, cape, poncho and scarf selections i've seen in the suburbs. Don't underestimate this shop for some of the nicest high-end clothes in the area! I believe they also do monogramming on many of their products. They had a few examples on the shelves which looked super interesting. I'm only giving Vignettes 4-stars because I have yet to make a purchase. You all should know that if you are looking for something different, something well-made, something that really suits you, you should come here. The staff is friendly and has a real eye for fashion. They can figure out what will look good on you in the first 30 seconds and will only bring you things that do. Things you might never even have picked up to look at will become your favorite wardrobe pieces, all thanks to the eagle-like fashion eyes of the women at the Grey Colt. And they remember, too. If your friend, or spouse, or mom comes in and says, "I want to get Mary something for Christmas/birthday/Arbor Day," they will immediately recall the sweater you were drooling over the week before - or be able to pick out things that you will just flat love, simply by remembering your taste.
