Almost as if the summer outfit I was looking for couldn't be found in the main area. When we couldn't find what I was looking for, she goes, you can try SHEIN. Like, what? Super weird interaction. I wouldn't make much of it, but the constant mention of sales section and avoiding looking elsewhere irritated me. I'll drive to Pittsburgh to avoid this type of interaction.

I have to be honest. I tend not to shop at many women's boutiques because I never feel the clothes are inclusive. I'm not a 5 foot tall size 0 looking for a $200 crop top, which is almost always what the inventory feels like. I nearly passed out when I came across sweaters and tunics that were sized to fit real people and ended up purchasing a flattering geometric knit sweater with a cute hood that I can't wait to wear (if it ever becomes fall). I love that the clothes here are real. They have a lovely selection of jewelry, homewares, cards, small gifts and other stationary that were unique and simply darling. It was too tempting to buy 1000 things for myself. I will absolutely return here the next time I need a gift for someone! I came to Cleveland without a jacket and for some reason Google told me that the store closed at 7pm, so at 6:45pm (45 minutes after the store closed), I banged on the glass, and I was greeted with a smile and welcomed inside. The boutique is incredible! I wish we had one like it in Baltimore because I would be there all of the time. They have adorable clothes-- from leggings to dresses to jackets and sweaters. And the price point on a lot of the clothes make them affordable which is awesome. In some stores, you pick up a jacket and pay $400+, but here, you can get adorable jackets for 1/4 of that! Stop by here (before 6pm)-- you won't be sorry!

The store is beautifully laid out and has a bright, welcoming atmosphere. The gals working were very friendly and offered me coffee, tea or water. Thread carries several Ohio clothing designers as well as more high-end national designers. While I didn't focus heavily on the clothing, I was able to find the cutest set of travel cosmetic cases that were different sizes and all folded into each other. Each one had a noun like "wanderlust" or "nomad" with a dictionary-style definition. It was reasonably priced and they gift wrapped it beautifully! While checking out, they also offered to sign me up for their free rewards program. If you fancy yourself a boutique shopper or enjoy their clothing/jewelry selection its definitely worth signing up for. Overall, I think Thread is a nice addition to the shopping in Pinecrest!

She also has this crazy ability to just look at you and know what size you need in anything (since all companies sizes are kind of different). None of the big mall stores carried it, so when I saw that it was carried at Kilgore Trout I felt really excited! And they carried Botkier! I'm sold! The girl working the handbag section was really sweet with great customer service and I felt like I would maybe be coming back to purchase a bag for Christmas. That is, until we stepped into the men's wear section for my husband to look around and the sale's guy from that side literally said to us "You guys just trying to get out of the cold?" as he ate his lunch. What!? No. We're not trying to "get out of the cold." We're trying to shop at your store d-bag. It is especially beneficial if, over time, you work with the same consultant, who can add a personal touch after they get a feel for your own preferences and what you have and don't have in your wardrobe. I've also come to really appreciate their eye for perfection and not simply settling for a "pretty good" or even "very good" fit when additional adjustments can be made. I would put the level of service and tailoring right up there with (if not higher than) the highly-regarded Bergdorf Goodman Men's store in New York. Why only 4 of 5 stars? It may be an unfair comparison, but, in the end, their available selection can't compare with the much bigger stores.

I don't know if I'm alone on this, but it was overwhelming. I prefer to see racks of like items, maybe different colors, but there was very little of that here. The majority was racks and racks of clothes, different styles and sizes all together. While I know a lot of people like to find a deal at and enjoy the hunt, that's not me when it comes to digging and digging through racks of differing styles. I didn't really pay much attention to the prices, as I didn't see anything that interested me, but I imagine they're decent like their sister stores across the country.
