I stopped in because last year I bought "witchy woman" beanie, and wanted something new and cute for the fall. I had my eye on bookish advent calendar. Unfortunately, the owner circled me like an eagle for my duration at the store, then stood at the entrance just staring at me. I have no idea what it is that I did to cause this reaction. I've been to the store plenty of times before and had positive experience. I also visit and know many vintage vendors in the area. The whole experience just didn't sit well with me. I decided to not purchase anything because this type of behavior shouldn't be supported. It was uncalled for and unpleasant. I won't be returning. CS Folk (formerly BB Folk) calls itself a general store. General store means that you'll find all kinds of goodies here - home decor, trendy clothing, food items, and accessories. The store is in the stretch of Ohio City that's known for its vintage and thrift stores. Go to this store especially when you want unique gifts. INVENTORY: The store's inventory includes lots of cool clothing merchandise from local makers. For instance, I found a very fitting "witchy woman" hat at this store. Other merchandise that always gets me excited see home decor and wall art. There is an expansive shelf with refined decor. Prices are pretty reasonable considering the uniqueness. SERVICE: I found all staff to be very chatty and friendly. Always welcoming atmosphere. PARKING: Find street parking along Lorain Avenue and in the surrounding streets. It never tends to be busy in the area. EVENTS: The store collaborates with its neighbors - Table for 2, Recreational Pots and Plants for sidewalk markets. They're always fun and involved plenty of local makers. I highly recommend visiting the next market. I always love wandering into this store and tend to gravitate toward beanies and clothing. I hope to drop in again next weekend to treat myself.

Passport To Peru is located on the true corner of E. Washington Street and is a fair trade clothing and gift shop supporting small global makers. I've been to the Passport To Peru in Coventry but never left with much of an impression. However, I LOVED this Passport To Peru location. The vibe is so great and much warmer and interesting. This global inspired boutique carries bohemian wares and accessories and you can fall down a rabbit hole pretty quickly of looking at beautiful things. I don't pay much mind to the clothes (the sizes are all pretty small), but I love all the gifts they carry. I purchased a beautiful handmade dreamcatcher from a women's collective in New Mexico, a vibrant scarf with foxes on it and a goddess inspired art print for a friend. This is a wonderful spot to shop in when you want to pick up something special for yourself or need a one-of-a-kind gift with meaningful roots. Also, extra points for the EXTREMELY GOOD DOG that greets you when you enter!

I would also say that the vintage selection is very reasonably priced for being curated vintage items... you really are paying for the organized eclectic curation of the fabulous owners. I ended up talking with one of the owners for quite some time... if you get the chance, make it a point to chat with her. I didn't catch her name but we got chatting for quite some time. Especially in pandemic times- having a nice, wholesome conversation with someone you don't know too well is quite rare. I left, with brand new vases, a handmade pouch, a gorgeous vintage tray, and such high spirits! The vibes in this place are unmatched and deserve a visit from you asap!

It was a busy day outside of the store because the Lakewood Arts Festival was happening but the store itself wasn't busy at all. There was only one other person in the store when I arrived who was actually leaving so I had the store to myself while I was there. The store has a nice collection of handbags (big and small) with accessories ranging in price from $100-$450. All handbags appear to be made of good quality leather. While I didn't buy anything, I enjoyed my time browsing the store. Customer service was nice as I was greeted when I walked in. I hope to come back again to look at their limited stationery section because I like stationery (notebooks, etc). A NOTE FROM BLAIR (from website) -- "I began Blair Ritchey in 2010, in a spare bedroom with my sewing machine, a few hides of leather, and my pup Monroe at my feet. It is so fulfilling to see how much has changed over the years; transitioned all manufacturing to New York and Chicago, the team has grown from 1 to 4, we opened a retail shop in 2022, expanded our shipping and receiving studio, all while staying rooted in customer service and intentional design. I design every bag and accessory with you in mind. Each handbag should remain practical, serve a purpose, and beautifully complement an outfit." **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 170/250 total reviews in 2026 - 1011 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 31 August 2026
