When my Mom and I stopped in a few weeks ago, I was pleasantly surprised. When you enter, drive in off of Darrow Road and park in the back. You'll see the sign instantly. Once you're inside, you'll be greeted by a stairway with an intersection of two floors. The bottom floor is filled with furniture, artwork, and other various home furnishings. The top floor is filled with purses, women's wear, jewelry and other accessories. As an avid consignment/vintage hunter, I can easily say that Twila's has one of the best furniture collections i've seen. Eyes can be deceiving on this place. The bottom floor is quite expansive, and I was wildly impressed with their selection of mid-century and Victorian style bedroom sets....particularly, the tall, old fashioned dressers with lock and keys, which are simply beautiful. The clothing selection is also impressive. While the store is generically organized, its worth it to go through all the racks, since many of them are out of order. I loved their wide variety of styles and sizes, and was happy to see quality brands like Coldwater Creek, Chico's, Kate Spade, Kate Landry and others. Looking forward to stopping by again soon, and maybe even bringing my own barely worn clothes for them to consign!

Of late, estate-saling has become my hobby (it's good to do something other than work, as long as it doesn't require more working to fund it), and I came to Twinsburg this morning in quest of a set of Pyrex nesting bowls. I stopped into Twila's on my way back home, thinking I might find another Pyrex prize, and was pleasantly surprised to find a bright, attractive, and well-stocked shop with helpful employees (the cashier signed me up for their rewards program and let me know during my birthday month to expect an email with 15% off as a gift -- I will be back). The lower level was well-organized and filled with furniture, décor, and housewares (the reason I stopped in), and upstairs were racks of clothing (spaced generously apart; not a bunch of stuff crammed close together), outfits displayed nicely, jewelry, shoes, and accessories, with sale items clearly marked. I dislike shopping for clothing (jeans and a pullover is my go-to uniform), but found several items I liked in a short amount of time, tried them on (the dressing rooms were a lovely surprise! Plenty of hooks, an ottoman, clean, pretty, large mirrors), and bought two blouses that will surprise the rest of the tops in my closet. I'm glad I stopped in; should have done so sooner!

Still, I have found some great bargains here. And more than once I have found something to wear to a last minute work invitation that looks professional and somewhat cute. Just watch some of the sweater bargains are not worth it - have a sweater or two from here that shed so much lint on everything they will cease to exist pretty soon.

I have to be honest. I tend not to shop at many women's boutiques because I never feel the clothes are inclusive. I'm not a 5 foot tall size 0 looking for a $200 crop top, which is almost always what the inventory feels like. I nearly passed out when I came across sweaters and tunics that were sized to fit real people and ended up purchasing a flattering geometric knit sweater with a cute hood that I can't wait to wear (if it ever becomes fall). I love that the clothes here are real. They have a lovely selection of jewelry, homewares, cards, small gifts and other stationary that were unique and simply darling. It was too tempting to buy 1000 things for myself. I will absolutely return here the next time I need a gift for someone! But don't get me wrong, I did purchase an amethyst chunk bracelet I have zero regrets about. :) As I was checking out, I met the owner, who was lovely. I also really appreciated that while I was shopping, no one followed me around asking me if I liked XYZ. That's a pushy sales technique that just leaves me not wanting to return, and I'm so happy they don't do that. Love!

I came to Cleveland without a jacket and for some reason Google told me that the store closed at 7pm, so at 6:45pm (45 minutes after the store closed), I banged on the glass, and I was greeted with a smile and welcomed inside. The boutique is incredible! I wish we had one like it in Baltimore because I would be there all of the time. They have adorable clothes-- from leggings to dresses to jackets and sweaters. And the price point on a lot of the clothes make them affordable which is awesome. In some stores, you pick up a jacket and pay $400+, but here, you can get adorable jackets for 1/4 of that! This shop is the equivalent of a visual feast. The boutique is really overwhelming, but in a good way. All the clothes are very bohemian/stylish and there are so many racks to go through, you could literally spend hours in here. They have a fantastic selection of flowing sweaters, ponchos and other capes that could easily make me feel like I live in California. The sales associates are really helpful, and they can help you navigate the racks upon racks. What I love about this boutique is the jewelry selection. Their unique necklaces, artistic agate pieces and costume jewelry are just downright fun. The prices are fair for the larger, chunkier pieces.
