Nice to have an alternative nail salon on deck when traveling. For my birthday I was treated to getting my nails done at Style Nails while staying in La Quinta. I was booked an appointment with Chloe as everyone says she is the best and does great work, which I can confirm is true after coming here! Chloe was wonderful and her attention to detail is unmatched. Never have my nails ever looked so good. She meticulously perfected them in an hour. While I only went with gel color she really shaped them beautifully like I asked for and they had a great selection of colors here which is always important to me. The salon was very clean and comfortable. I enjoyed my experience here given that it was so cozy and they played a great Korean cooking competition show on the back screen which helped the hour fly by. For $50 my nails looked pretty fabulous. My only upgrade is that I do wish a manicure came with a light hand massage / rub. My local nail salons do this but not here. Not a dealbreaker for me but usually ending with a light massage is my favorite part. Maybe it is an extra charge if I would have asked but most manicures include this. Overall though, still a great experience and I left a happy customer with my nails looking pretty cute.

Had an appointment for dip less than a week ago, my nails are already catching my hair in the shower and coming up around the edges near the cuticle. Usually I can easily go 3 weeks, often longer before this. Service was friendly at first, but quickly changed when I mentioned my concerns with color and being told I requested something I did not after clarifying what I wanted on nails and toes several times. I hesitated to post, but after spending well over 100 dollars plus 20% tip to both my manicurist and pedicurist despite my disappointment, I'm pretty irritated that not only did I not leave with the color and effect I requested, the function is not holding up after one week. Plenty of other places to try locally.

Stephanie is the best! A perfectionist and kind professional. The salon is clean relaxing with a great selection of nail colors.

Went in for a hard gel overlay even called before and they assured me I could have that service done . When I got there they gave me gelx tips. I was leaving for Cancun the next day so I didn't really have time to keep looking for a place so I just went with it , I've had gelx nails before no biggie . It's been a week and all my nails have lifted and one cracked in half . The most labor if done is ask for another mojito on the beach . So I cut them and soaked them off with acetone and once removed my nails have been ground to shreds . I could have gotten a regular acrylic set with all the damage done to my natural nails . Paid about $130 for my hands and feet plus tipped and additional $40 to the techs that worked on me . Next time I'll just get them done on my vacation read more

They do a very nice powder dip here. They don't overfile and the finished product is not too thick looking. I recommend Vivi. Good atmosphere. I'd prefer that other patrons not have cell phone conversations but it seems to happen at most salons. I'll be back for sure! read more

I called this morning to schedule 2 pedicures and was asked if i could come in today at 3 pm and said yes. We arrived at around 2:50 pm and they made us wait until 3:45 pm. While we were waiting another person showed up at 3 pm and they were seated and helped even though our appointment was first.. And on top of that 3 of my nails were not done right. read more

Ask for Nam and go during the day! Nam is an artist! I've been to him twice and he has done masterful work. He has a very steady hand and works very quickly. He did a fill for me during the time my 6 year old got a mani and pedi. The first time I went at closing and got a few cuts on my fingers for the acrylic set (perhaps the end of the day fatigue for him) but the work was phenomenal. Went during the day for my fill and left with no cuts-- just artwork. I highly recommend and be sure to tip well!! read more

The manager at this nail place is very aggressive and not very friendly. I do not like having both manicure and pedicure done at the same time. I am there to relax and to enjoy pampering myself. I had an appointment and that day was super busy. The manager was trying to speed things up by forcing someone to do my manicure as my pedicure was being done. When I said no, she was upset that I did not accept it. So she told me that I would have to wait to have my manicure done. I had made an appointment and therefore, I should not have had to wait. My time there was very tense after that and I did not relax because I did not do as the manager wanted. I will never go back. read more

Consistently I get an inferior manicure here. If you get a mani/pedi, they do the pedi first and a lot of them will do the manicure while you're in the pedi chair and they are standing! You cannot do a proper manicure standing. It's always sloppy. Some of them don't do a great manicure even sitting. The pictures here were with a sitting manicure. The polish should go fully to both sides of the nail for BOTH coats. If you complain they start talking about you in Vietnamese (and if you think they aren't talking about you, you're really naive). Their prices are high and I'm not going anymore. Cash for tips only and you should know why they ask for cash tips. Last time. read more

A slave to my acrylic nail appointments, when my regular, trusted manicurist goes on vacation, I grumpily suffer through a substitute. Not so this time! John did a PERFECT JOB on my nails; I am thrilled. But now how do I switch!? Maybe I can sneak in on my prior manicurist's day off... Been going here for years, through a change of ownership, and the staff makes an effort to please. Reasonable rates; convenient location, plenty of parking. read more

Stumbled upon here because we made an appointment at Nails world and they made us wait for availability on seats because they were so busy... I called to see if they had room for 3 manicures & 3 pedicures and they did.. seated us right when we walked through the door. Although we didn't get worked on at the same time, my mom,sister, and I had a great experience. Each of the technicians room their time on us and our nails came out beautiful!! They were also very friendly!! Next time we come back to Palm Desert, we are definitely coming back to get our nails done. So thankful we ended up here rather than the other place. read more

I was happy going to this shop. Kayla was my technician. I called to make an appointment when I return from vacation. I was told that Kayla was on a 2 month vacation. She wasn't. Honestly the workers are nice but they have absolutely no idea what they're doing. I'm home crying after this $60 set that was a complete failure. I was so excited to get my nails done for my birthday and this is what I get... :( the shape is awful all wrong I asked for LONG SQUARE these go out at the end and aren't long just a mess. I originally asked for an ombré but the lady totally screwed them up so I asked for someone else to finish my nails they wouldn't take anything off to start over so I have these ugly chunky thick weird nails with no shape. This is such a relaxing, clean, and welcoming facility. One of the best Nail Salons I've been to in the Desert. The whole team is Accommodating and they are very timely. They have great product! I have been going there for 7 years. Very clean, friendly and not a huge turnover in personnel. They do an excellent job on the dipped nails and great manicures & pedicures. They have installed plexiglas between the nail technicians and clients and plexiglas between the pedicure technicians and the clients in the chairs. read more

I know it was the last hour before closing but that's not a good excuse to cut corners especially when u pay $40 for a pedicure. First I told the lady the water was too hot but instead of cooling it down she just told me to leave my feet out of the water. Then the $40 pedi is suppose to come with soap 'flowers' lol. I didn't get that. It said callus remover which I needed but instead she used lotion on my feet. If your gona charge $40 and list everything it comes with than you should deliver all!! Don't cheat ur customers!! I contemplated even giving a tip but decided I wasn't going to get on her level of cheap service. She waited for that tip too and then walked out for the day. read more

I have been looking for a new nail shop for a while. Recently I saw someone I know whose nails were exactly like I wanted. She told me she goes to John at Style Nails and I went immediately there and made an appointment. It was such a pleasure going to a classy nail salon where everyone is very professional. DO NOT go here. This is what they did to my toes. When I brought to their attention the manager said he doesn't see anything wrong with it. The entire pedicure looked like a 5th grader did it and they charged $23 for it!!!!! Stay away from this place. read more

It was so great to have a mani/pedi after 7 long months of shutdown due to COVID. I saw Nathan for a dip manicure and I am embarrassed to say that I don't recall the name of the woman who did my pedicure, but they both did an outstanding job. The salon is working hard to comply with every COVID safety protocol, and I felt completely safe there. Prices were great. I'll be back! read more

If this review were only about the technicians, it would be much higher. Unfortunately, the ongoing issue is scheduling and management. I always call ahead to book an appointment, but when I arrive there's often an excuse as to why I can't be seen on time. I'm frequently asked to wait an extra 20-30 minutes sitting in a chair, even though I had a confirmed appointment. It feels like the salon is consistently overbooked and understaffed. I don't think the staff is at fault they're clearly doing their best--but as a client, it's frustrating when time isn't respected. When you schedule an appointment, you expect to be seen close to that time, especially when you plan your day around it. I'm sharing this in hopes that management takes a closer look at how appointments are handled, because the team here really is great. Better scheduling would make a big difference.

I agreed, not realizing it was an additional $20 until after the service. About a week later, the same nail began to chip, so I returned for a repair. The visit felt uncomfortable and somewhat disconnected, with very little direct communication, which made the experience feel dismissive. During the original service, a handheld gel curing light was used directly over my nails and the heat became very uncomfortable. Overall, I expected better communication and consistency, especially with an upgraded service.

I didn't realize until after I left that they did not do my cuticles, usually what all nail salons do before putting on the acrylic. I told them (the older woman and gentleman) about the cut and they put Neosporin on it which was nice. The woman (the mom) did my nails and she was super nice, I just wish the quality was better. The older gentleman was super kind too. Their pricing was also odd, I went on their website before going and was charged $55 for my full set & $35 for the spa pedicure with a total of $90. I didn't question her as maybe the prices changed and they did not update their website. She also kept changing the prices (like three times) in person when I was about to pay. When I got into my car I looked at my nails and the underneath of my nails still had acrylic bumps that usually other salons make sure that it's filed out. I also noticed that since she did not have me wash my hands before applying the acrylic, there were bumps in the nails and some lines (photos provided) I am sad because I was super excited to try this place and spend my Mother's Day here but would not recommend and will not be going back.

Used an already used towel and the technician nails were crusty and had fungus/dirt under the nail he kept using to swipe onto my nails. YUCKKKK. I was so disgusted. Not only that but when he swiped he used his whole nail so the polish just transferred to my skin and then he cured it. I would never come back. Tip of advice have your technicians nails look nice and if not make them wear gloves. Plus the polish is streaky and doesn't look good at all.

What a night and day difference! My pedicure was the best I've ever had; the attention to detail was perfection. And my husband's toes came out even better than how the other salon did them. And lastly, Tony is there to give head and neck massages for $1 a minute and they are heavenly! Mike, the owner, was fun to chat with as he gave me my pedicure and had a great sense of humor. Hubby and I will continue to get our pedi's at A & A Nails from now on!

There would be dipping powder still around my nails and I would have to ask for oil to rub on my cuticles. I think I stayed because I was too overwhelmed to find another salon since there are so many. I mostly stayed because of the girl that did my pedi's, she was great. My daughter was visiting and she happened to go to Bella Nails and said how good they were, (she's extremely picky), I thought what the heck, my old salon won't miss me. Helen got me right in and was so grateful I came in. She showed more appreciation in 1 min., than my last salon ever showed. I understand why one customer said Helen was running around, it's because she is constantly getting things for pedicures to assure the towels are hot, and the rocks for massaging are the right temp. She is a very busy woman and is a hard worker, I didn't find her rude at all. I had a great pedicure, very gentle and did a great job. She also did my dipping nails, and WOW, she is so detailed. Remember when salons used to cut your cuticles if dry, well Helen does it, remember when you used to get oil and lotion afterwards on your hands, well Helen does it. I was very impressed and am so grateful I found this salon. I think everyone has a bad day now and then, we need to understand how hard these salons work. Thank you Helen

I am probably the most picky person when it comes to my nails, and I have never left unhappy. Paul is amazing and I have been coming to see him for about 2 years now when I am in the valley. Everything is always clean and the salon is in a great location. ALSO... one of the only places in the valley with dipped gel polish, my favorite. Way better than acrylic for your nails and lasts longer than the normal gel polish. Definitely the place to be in the desert! read more
