I always get the same pizza and it never disappoints! Chicken and pesto stufted pizza... meaning the crust is on the top and bottom, kind of like a calzone. So good! I've dined in the restaurant, which gets me kind of nostalgic for when I was a kid going to a pizza parlor with my parents: fountain drinks, tv's and I'm pretty sure there is an arcade game in there, but I could be wrong. This place is amazing!! I was working from home with a co-worker and we were starving. I randomly call a coupon I got in the mail and ordered their Hawaiian Vegetarian bc it said it was a staff favorite. I added bacon bc bacon is hot! And oh my, this was honestly the most amazing pizza I have ever had. I couldn't believe how soft the and crispy the dough was, the toppings were so plentiful and you could taste every one of them. We constantly had foodgasm as we ate. Sighing and ohhing and mmming....yum! I am eating the Chef Special right now....yay! I have had so many things here. I've been here twice. Once to dine in and once to take-out. Both times, the pizza was amazing. I've been on the search for a good pizza place that isn't Papa John's or Pizza Hut. I live in north OC but when I'm down there, Stuft seems to be the choice of many. My dining partner is just a plain pepperoni kind of guy. Nothing wrong with that because there apparently is a method to his pepperoni pizza eating madness. He could tell you so much more about the pizza, the perfect crust, the just right curl of the pepperoni. They're very generous with the toppings too. Beer selection could be bigger for a sports bar like place that it is. The service is friendly. I'll be coming back as long as I'm in the area. read more

This is a classic pizza parlor. I've been coming here for years now. I started going here when I was super young, because my dad wanted a place to go watch Monday night football. I was always obsessed with going to the back to play in very small arcade. The owner is great; he's a baseball guy so we always got along. My family and I would always go there for the Monday night pizza special, which generally consisted of a pitcher of beer and large pizza pie. The pizza is to die for: it comes out insanely hot, fluffy crust, and thick. There's a TV in every corner, making it hard to get bored while eating pizza. The only aspect of Stuft Pizza that I'm not fond of is the crowd that goes here. I bit of "dive" crowd - the Dana Point drunks flood in here. But if you are coming here from out of town, give this place a try if you want a great local vibe to it. Or if you just want great pizza, definitely call this place for delivery. The worst customer service. the party I was with ordered two orders of Buffalo wings on completely different tabs. When we received one order they looked completely different. when they were brought up to the counter one person said they were different flavors and another said they were the same. When I asked if we can just figure it out and get the same flavor the response was that it was my problem and that I would I have to pay for another order of wings. when I refused they said then it looked like I have to deal with what I got. read more

Not happy, we are at Dana point harbor for the forth of July 2012 and we saw a delivery driver he was delivering to the harbor near the pilgrim ship and said we could order. We called and they said they don't deliver to the beach or the harbor area. Then we told them that the driver said that they would. Then they made the excuse of them closing soon. You are a insult to stuft pizza to refuse business that way. I don't recommend this stuft pizza for them to refuse a phone order I guess they really don't need business. read more

Another dining choice during a neighborhood-scouting trip as we continue to search for houses. I gave Stuft Pizza a 3 star as an average for my rating (2 star) and hubby's rating (4 star). It's a pizzareia, with like 6 tv's, a bunch of guys watching the tv, and vintage fishing memorabilia. The menus are little paper-folded brochures and you get your own silverware. I wasn't feeling pizza so I got a spaghetti and marinara. BAD CHOICE. The spaghetti was soo overcooked and rather soggy. The marinara was little more than canned tomato paste. The garlic bread was my highlight. Hubby's personal pizza looked much better than my dish. I should have know better. When in Rome... right? Overall, it's a place where you can just wear your flip flops and bring your 5 kids screaming. No one else seems to mind. read more

This is a pretty good, solid pizza place. It's not my favorite, but it's close to my house and is nice for when I'm craving a thick-crust pizza that's not your standard chain pizza place. The stuft special is good if you're feeling some good, classic pizza toppings. I'm also a fan of the basil rathbone (which has pesto instead of pizza sauce). I've never had anything here except for pizza, so I can't speak to the rest of the food. Service is pretty speedy usually. You order at the counter and then wait at a table. They have a few TVs with whatever sports games are on, so it's a good place to get some pizza and watch a game. Not overwhelmingly good, but good to have around. read more

First off, I grew up in DP. Stuff was my go to after a good surf in the early 80's. So I decided to try out their "coupon" special of wings with pizza. STAY AWAY from the wings. They tasted like they were boiled, not from a bbq, and chicken was horrible. Now your pizza, overall lived up to their name with crust, but was in my opinion undercooked. It was hot but undercooked. This update kills me to write. After all the years of being my absolute favorite pizza, I may never go here again. They seemingly don't know or care how to make their pizzas anymore. Our pizza came and the crust was thin and soggy in the middle with the outer crust puffed up as big a french roll. Was this a fluke? Nope. Everyone else's pizzas look the same. This is happening because they are not tossing the dough. I watch the guy roll it out and pull all the air out to the outer crust working the inside thinner (also, I question how clean his hands were as he was touching everything else in the kitchen). No tossing.... Rolling flat and hand tossing it makes the crust work. It will have even thickness across the pie distributing the air evenly throughout and will cook up with a crispy outer layer/soft in the middle crust. Guess where I learned this? THERE!!!!! Years ago when it was good and everyone in town raved about it. The only way I will ever eat here again is with a response saying they fixed it or will allow me to toss my own pie....seriously. I stopped in at this place for lunch. There was a wonderful aroma when I entered the door. They had some pretty good lunch deals. I ended up getting a salad and sandwich combo. I really wish I would have gotten the pizza. It looked pretty good and my sandwich looked like a plain ol sandwich. I was unhappy that the chips that it came with were just a plain bag of lays. I wish I could have had another side. I also was not a fan of the volume of the tv that was right above our table. When the tv is so close to a particular table, you shouldn't blast the volume. This pizza place has that sports bar, casual, beach-y feel to it. The prices are good and just what you'd expect for a casual dining place. It's a good place to bring groups and just sit in front of one of their 2394876896151 televisions to watch all the sports games you want at the same time. Sports overload! If you're a NY pizza person, this place will not jive with you. The crust is puffy and will fill up your belly before you get your healthy dose of toppings. Everything had a good flavor, though. The tomato sauce is one of the boldest I've ever tasted--I liked it but it drew some attention away from the toppings. The salads are generous and good to share as an appetizer. read more

Great pizza!! We were in Dana Point for spring break. We had pizza here on our first night there. It is a cute little pizza place. You place your order and then find your own seat. Tons of TV's everywhere which my husband enjoyed because of the many games that were on. We ordered two pizzas and loved them both. My kids shared a small pepperoni and ate almost all of it. My husband and I got the Monroe & it was delish!! The CRUST is awesome!! Nice and fluffy and not GREASY!!! On our last night in town we went back for our seconds! We liked it that much! Okay, went to pick up the pizza and the owner said he would NOT HONOR the $16.49 as we were told by the owner's son and charged us $24!!!!!!! despite the online coupon we presented. I love Stuft Pizza's pizza! Their Stuft Special is my favorite! We usually order it with fresh garlic on top. I've had some really good calzones there in the past too (and a few ok ones from time to time).
