This place should be shut down for covid! We went to support the business and were shocked by what was being allowed. First we were sat at a booth directly next to wear everyone walks by to go to the kitchen, office and bathrooms. People were spaced appropriately BUT it was like everyone was "sticking it to the man" not wearing masks. Numerous people walked right by us nit wearing masks. The waitress with the very glitter black mask watched me eyeball a group ofn3 woman who were not masked and she said nothing to them. This was a repeated scene. So much for supporting a local business trying to make it through hard times. I felt very unsupported. Also, there food has gone down hill..badly. read more

So impressed with this diner. Had the turkey dinner. So good. Service was exceptional. Poodle skirts are worn by all the servers. My first time spending time in Longview and I found a gem in my first try. I will be back. I came back and got a server named Morgan. What an exceptional human. This place was fantastic! I love places like this where you can honestly eat until you're full, and then put the other half of your meal in a to-go box. Biggest cinnamon rolls I've ever seen, and apparently you get one on your birthday. I literally thought it was a whole roasted turkey until it got a bit closer. I had to ding them a star because of the long wait times, and "stuffy" waitstaff... I think it was only our waitress though. It may have just been one of those days. Since I was born and raised a city boy, I have to remind myself to allow more time when visiting a small town establishment like this... However, it's kind of a nice change of pace :) read more

During COVID this business gave you a CHOICE on whether you wanted to wear a mask or not which is how it should be and they definitely did not judge people. Moved to Longview WA few months ago. Have eaten at Stuffys several times. Usually for breakfast. Great breakfasts, large servings. Burgers are also good. Tonight I was disappointed. Ordered one of the dinner specials. Baby back ribs served with baked potato, corn on cob, baked beans, watermelon. The salad and bread were good. Corn was soggy..clearly was sitting in water for some time, didn't eat it. Baked potato texture wasn't so good, like it was baked yesterday and reheated in microwave. Ribs were okay, not best ever, but not bad. Baked beans tasted like standard VanCamps, watermelon was rubbery like it had been cut in morning and sitting out half the day. 3 hours after dinner I'm feeling nauseous. Our visit to Stuffy's turned into a disaster from the time we walked in until the time we tried to timely pay our bill. It was lunch hour and we were there with our daughter who was on her lunch break. We hoped the place wouldn't be packed and were happy it wasn't even half full. Now that could have been due to all the construction that was going on. That didn't mean we got good service. Our service was far from that. We waited and waited and waited until our server finally showed up. Of course, by then we had studied the menu quite thoroughly and knew what we were ordering. After all, lunch hour was only an hour. The food overall was good except for the bowl of navy bean soup my husband ordered. It was so salty he couldn't eat it. We all took a taste and agreed with him. We had the server return it to the kitchen. Evidently she tasted it too and tasted it too and agreed that it was very salty. Instead my husband ordered a CUP of a different soup. Server brought him a BOWL. He corrected the order immediately indicating he had only ordered a CUP of soup and not a bowl. Her response was that he could take the leftover cup home with him. What??? We weren't going home and that wouldn't have made a difference. Sure enough ... the bill came and a bowl of soup was on the bill and not a CUP of soup. It wasn't so much the small difference in price. It was the attitude of the server telling him he could take the leftover home with him and still charged him for what he didn't order. Up at the cashier the bill was questioned. Evidently the cashier could not change that bill without the approval of the manager, Tanya. She tried to get the manager to assist and tried but couldn't. Evidently the manager was too busy on the computer and had to finish what she was doing or so we were told. We waited and waited and waited as did other customers behind us. The manager never came. We finally had no choice but to pay that overcharge and leave. This is probably the worst customer service we've seen at a restaurant in years ... and, we've been to plenty of them. Stuffy's is a Longview institution! Almost overly decorated with 50s memorabilia - think Betty Boop, Marilyn Monroe, Elvis, James Dean, etc. Everywhere you turn, there is something interesting to look at. The waitresses are running around in poodle skirts and the jukebox plays music of that era as well. When you walk in, you see the giant cinnamon rolls on display - for a very reasonable price, you can choose original, with raisins and even with bacon! These cinnamon rolls are huge! After many years and visits, we finally ordered one! The flavor was good, but the outside of the cinnamon roll was understandably dried out and tough. Not the gooey goodness if cinnamon roll that we love, but, honestly, did not expect it for that size. Out favorite meal to eat here is definitely breakfast! Huge portions and good food! You can't go wrong with the famous "Stuff" - just be careful that you don't accidentally order a pizza pan full of it! Country scramble, chicken fried steak, omelettes, French toast and pancakes are all favorites as well. They also serve cinnamon roll French toast (made with their famous cinnamon rolls). Although a very large restaurant with lots of tables, be prepared to wait up to 30 minutes if you stop in for breakfast on the weekends - it is always packed! Staff is usually very friendly, although can be a bit rushed trying to keep up during the busy times. read more

Stopped in based on a Google Map recommendation of a good 'local eat'. First thing I noticed was the GIANT cinnamon rolls. They are huge and look delicious (didn't try though). The waitresses all wore cute skirts patterned in Christmasy prints with petticoats. Reminded me of square dancing skirts . The menu is interesting all on its own. It has facts from different years and the restaurant has its own lingo, so make sure to read through! I ordered a senior chicken fried steak, coffee and a small gobb (speciality fried bread with a topping, we chose cinnamon and sugar). Flavor is a little more doughnut than fry bread, but still yummy! Chicken fried steak was good, eggs were done just how I liked them. My husband had a breakfast with 'stuff' (a special hash brown mix thing which was very good, his words). My son had a burger and fries. He really liked it, gave it an "a-okay" sign while eating We didn't have dessert, but they make cakes from scratch, including German chocolate, American chocolate, and carrot cake. This IS the place to go for a delicious meal.. especially on your birthday! We had a group of 12 that went for lunch. All our food was to die for.. we had soup, sandwiches, crepes, chicken fried steak, Tiny Stuff, French toast, and club house sandwiches. The servings are huge and so good! I love this place and wish they were closer but today me and my boys made the drive and it was definitely worth it. I was looked forward to bringing my husband here for five years. He had never been, and I've told him all about it and how amazing everything about the restaurant is, and I finally took him. Our server was fantastic, and our food was delicious. Everyone who talked with us was phenomenal. I wish I could give it five stars. Unfortunately the thing I love most about Stuffy's is the vintage poodle skirts, and not a single female working was wearing one. One female was wearing a cute a-line seahawks skirt, but the whole classic stuffys 2 vibe was just gone. One of the males working had sagging pants and a tie that wasn't even fully tied- it looked like he woke up and started working. Our server rocked his bow tie and was very well put together and super nice. I wish everyone there was able to keep with the stuffys theme and feeling as well as he did. Stuffy's is dealing with the pandemic really well and has spaced seating and most of the staff wore masks, and I'm so glad they're open and able to stay in business. I wish the vintage feel was still there... it didn't meet the husband's expectations at all so unfortunately it sounds like that was the last trip we'll have to my favorite diner in the Longview/Kelso area. Anyone who hasn't been there should absolutely go at least once- it's still an amazing gem of a restaurant and their food is OUTSTANDING. read more

I love this place. What they do well, they do extremely well. I've been to Stuffy's many times when I visit Longview and I'm always good with going back. They serve standard diner kind of food. What I mean by that is if you order spaghetti, you will be served diner spaghetti- not Italian-restaurant-sauce-cooking-all-day spaghetti. But, that being said, if you order something from their breakfast all day menu- like the Ham and Cheese Stuff that I ordered, or the 3-egg Build-Your-Own Omelet that my cousin ordered, you will be happy. They do an excellent job. I ordered my "Stuff" with the sausage gravy- you have options- and I ordered the "tiny" size. It was a big plate of food. I took more home than I ate. I imagine you could feed 2-4 easily from the "small" size, and probably an army from the regular plate. The omelet looked very good too and the build your own has lots of standard choices. We also ordered side salads- if you want a guilty pleasure order extra croutons- they are delicious. You'll be full when you leave, and if you can't actually eat on one, let your eyes feast on the larger than life cinnamon rolls in the front case, then plan to take one home next time- they are amazing. If you make the right choice here, you won't be disappointed. read more
