I rented a storage unit from them for a month and after I had moved my stuff out I found a zero debit from them against my checking account. I suspect, though I can't prove, that they would have just charged me another month w/out contacting me or checking to see if the unit was empty. If not, why the new debit, especially since I had told them I was only renting for one month? As I said, some staff people are VERY rude, for example, pointing at people as if they were dogs to tell them where to stand in the office. Not coming back here.

100% the most ridiculous customer service experience of my entire life. This is a family owned,…read moregood-ol-boy type of place and the workers are less than competent in handling customer needs. We used them a few weeks ago to drop off a Uhaul and they said they "knew how to unhitch the car but didnt feel like helping." We called Uhaul and they were taken back, as it's 100% a requirement to help customers unhitch cars when they're dropped off - all locations require at least one fully trained person on staff to help with this at all times. Taking it off ourselves ended in injury, and their staff laughed as if they were watching Kevin Heart performing live. I have lots more to elaborate on, but because we have a lawyer involved, I'd rather just give a general forewarning to check out one of the other 10 places in the Noho or Hadley area before coming here. I'm sure the other 1 star reviews posted here will paint a clear picture of the type of people you'll be dealing with at this location. Yelpers, beware!

Faceless corporation. The usual story of raising costs and cutting services. When it was locally…read moreowned and managed, there was a staffed office, and they supplied handcarts for moving your stuff. No more. Now, management is outsourced to a large national company (to see this, click "about us/career opportunities" on their website). They raise their rates frequently and charge extra for insurance, unless you buy and document your own, separate from your homeowner's insurance. There is no one on site; it can feel kind of scary. The former handcart space is now taken up by a couple more money-making units. The new management was very unresponsive at first. After they took over, I left multiple phone messages and emails about some door locks that weren't working right, but could never talk to anyone and never got a response. Recently, it's easier to reach a human by phone, but they are far away and they don't know anything about your site. Unfortunately, this outfit seem to be the only game in town if you need a climate-controlled unit. I guess I can say that it's pretty clean, the systems seem to work, and I haven't heard of any break-ins.

First off, the facility is very well maintained. Everything is in good repair, the facility is clean and neat, and the property is very secure. The best thing about them in my opinion has been the staff. They were kind and helpful in every interaction with them - whether in-person, by email, or over the phone. As this is my daughter's senior year I don't think we'll have need for storage in the area again, but if we did I would be happy to go back to Ideal!

At first I assumed the job would be too small for a moving company, but after umpteen delivery services sent me quotes with high rates-- *and* wanted us to help load and unload! -- I decided to call Boomerang, since they did such a good job moving us into our home earlier in the year. Boomerang actually charged *less* than what all those delivery services were asking for, and of course they did a careful, professional job, because they actually know how to move furniture. Nathan and Christian got these extra-tall bookcases down a curving flight of stairs, around tight corners in a narrow hallway, through the doorways and into their places without putting a scratch on either the bookcases or the walls. Moral of the story: Even if you just need to move a few pieces, hire professional movers -- specifically, hire Boomerang!

I came in by myself (with my pup) in a 20 foot UHaul, intending to unload a tiny house kit weighing thousands of pounds by myself. Richard offered his help without any prompting when I checked in (and I demurred because I'm terrible at accepting help). Then he just walked out once I'd moved the truck to my storage area to offer help again. I really don't know what I would've done if he hadn't helped me, as several of the items definitely shouldn't have been unloaded by one person. Richard spent a good couple hours out there with me on the truck, and he made the job SO much easier and more pleasant. I'm new to the area (I'll be building the tiny house on land I bought less than a year ago), and it was wonderful to experience the sort of kindness to a stranger that Richard showed. The lingering advantage of the good service regarding any kind of rental is knowing that it will be there down the road if needed. Was in a time push - day before went online - very clear and instructive, easy to manage website. Found what I needed made the reservation in a few minutes. Did the contract and made the payment on line. Few minutes. Within the hour I got a call from Joanne to make sure all was good and to coordinate accessing the unit the following day. Got to meet Joanne the following day - she got me checked in - we unloaded into a nice good sized, clean unit and on the way within a half hour.
