I picked this place from location and reviews online. I have been getting my hair cut just about…read moreanywhere for past two years (it is short). And I was coloring it once in awhile myself. Decided I was done with that! I went online to book and picked a stylist who had minimal reviews and lots of appointments. When I got there we spent time discussing my hair, what I was looking for and my experiences in the past (she actually understood what I wanted). Then she asked me how I came to book with her. I told her I found the appointments online and she had lots...meaning only two things...she was horrible or new. I then told her I figured it would not be worse than the chop shops, just more expensive. I walked out with a big smile on my face, a wonderful cut and color and an appointment for down the road. Her name is Shannon and she did a great job. Long time experience doing hair in L.A. area but now living in our great PNW.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel obligated to share my experience. My stylist was Jen G…read more I came to the salon with multiple inspiration photos and had a detailed consultation about the look I wanted. I specifically requested a cool-toned ash balayage with depth at the root and brighter ends, and I clearly communicated that I wanted to avoid warm, golden, or brassy tones. In fact, warm golden tones were my one clear "hard no." When the service was finished, the result looked much more like traditional highlights throughout the hair rather than the balayage effect shown in the reference photos. The color was significantly warmer than what we had discussed. What was most frustrating was what happened next. During the blow dry, I asked what toner had been used. I was told it was a golden blonde toner and was also told, "I know you didn't want that, but I had to use it because of chemistry. If I used the color you wanted, your hair would have turned green." My concern is not that professional judgment was used. My concern is that this conversation happened after the toner had already been applied. If the original plan was no longer achievable, I would have appreciated being informed beforehand and given the opportunity to discuss alternatives and make an informed decision about how to proceed. I like to be given the opportunity to consent, not have it stripped from me. I was polite and respectful, but I expressed that I was unhappy because the final result did not resemble the inspiration photos I had provided. Initially, my stylist agreed to a correction appointment. After further discussion and after I contacted the salon in hopes of speaking with the owner about alternative options, I never received a call back. Instead, my stylist later informed me by text that she had heard I spoke to a colleague in an unprofessional manner. That allegation was surprising and upsetting because it is simply not true. At that point, the stylist stated that she no longer wished to continue with the corrective service and offered a refund. While I appreciate receiving a refund for the service itself, the gratuity was not refunded despite the refund being described as a "full refund." The most disappointing part of this experience was not the hair color itself. Hair can be corrected. What left a lasting impression was the breakdown in communication, the lack of follow-up from management, being accused of behavior that did not occur, and ultimately losing confidence that my concerns were being heard. Others may have a different experience, but unfortunately this was mine. Stylist was Jen G.

I am completely confident that I reviewed the correct business. My original review is accurate,…read morehonest, and still reflects my experience. I have not received any messages from your business through Yelp. If you do not recall this interaction, that is concerning. Original review: This salon butchered my hair for $60-80 and then banned me from ever receiving my promised "fix". In the salon chair I began coming down with a flu, and it was really horrible and hit me hard and fast. I couldn't really tell how bad my hair really was until 2 or 3 days later when I felt human again. I called the salon after looking at my hair from all angles clearly for the first time, trying not to cry because I was so upset at what I was seeing. I had originally asked for an A-line cut. This is what I received. The owner asked me to email a photo showing my haircut, so l did. She then told me she DIDN'T SEE ANYTHING WRONG WITH MY HAIR..... I can laugh about it now but l sure was devastated when it happened. So after being dismissed I decided to open up a case with the BBB to try and rectify the problem since the owner wouldn't help me and was quite rude to me for no real reason I could see, considering this was not my fault. She tried blaming me since I was sick and didn't call them immediately. The salon owner told the BBB they would give me a free haircut to fix the problem. Ok, I accept that from another stylist, sure. I'm not looking to rip them off, I just want normal looking hair like I paid for. When I tried calling the salon to make an appointment for a fix a while later (brave, looking back) the person on the phone said I wasn't allowed there and nobody there would cut my hair! I didn't curse at these people, yell at them, or do anything disrespectful just to be clear. This was some time ago but I still want people to know how this business operates and I've never forgotten how horribly they treated me for no reason.

Upon arriving she was about 30 minutes behind, I had my daughter who's 5 go first and she spent about 5 minutes just cleaning up the ends when I wanted a haircut for her. But since we were already behind time I didn't say anything. I also didn't have time for her to style my hair after the cut so paid and left. I don't have her anymore and I just had a baby and my hair was driving me crazy as it was way too long. I figured I'd go to the mall for a hair cut as I don't have to wait for an appointment and I wanted it done that day because I was just over the length and look of it.. I knew it wouldn't be a good idea but I also thought I was thinking the worst and overthinking it just because my sister has always done my hair. She takes her time (with all her clients) and layers it to perfection no choppy look or odd sections.... Well I sat down and the lady didn't even talk to me to ask what I wanted... where is the customer service???? I showed her what I wanted.. left within minutes and the layers I asked for look so horrible!!! I knew as soon as she did the first two chops and didn't spray even water or check to see if it comes out correctly she just went chopping away. Do not recommend at all. Ladies save yourself seriously. I'll be going to another place to get this cut fixed so bummed!!

5 stars -- Jessie ALWAYS . Post from a client for Jessie +3ish years? Well, that is exactly what happens when you let Jessie touch your hair. I walked in looking like I had been personally victimized by motherhood, night shift, and the concept of sleep... and walked out with fresh highlights, a gorgeous tone, and enough confidence to strut through the mall like I had absolutely no business being that tired. My hair is giving ROCKSTAR. My face is giving "I got 4 hours of sleep but mind your business." My schedule is giving absolute chaos. But my hair? She is thriving. Jessie somehow managed to make me look like I have my life together even though I'm literally running on caffeine, child energy, and vibes. If you need your hair done, go see Jessie. Because she can turn "exhausted night-shift mama taking her kid to PAW Patrol" into "rockstar who definitely has a glam team." 10/10. Would lose sleep again. ‍
