I am always nervous about cutting my hair short because with my natural curls, the shape of my hair cut matters and I had a hard time finding someone who KNOWS how to cater to my preferred shape. Linh again took the time to listen to my wants, needs, and concerns and she DELIVERED ON THE CUT/SHAPE. My naturally curly hair is shaped perfectly with minimal styling effort. I am so happy!! I honestly didn't know how to explain what I wanted, but I showed her a few inspo pics & she immediately knew what to do. Her salon is small & tucked away in a little plaza in Long Beach, but so worth finding! We actually know about her because my mom's coworker referred us! The atmosphere is so intimate with only 3 salon chair. Oh! She treated us to complimentary ramen & donuts lol. Prices are unbelievably affordable.. only $400 for both of us, including tip! That's rare these days!! The only small note is that Maly has a bit of a heavy hand while working!! My mom on the other hand said she actually loved it because it felt like a scalp massage . Myla -I think that's how you spell her name cut my hair. As she was doing it I wasn't sure what the outcome would be but once she was done and she blow dried it to give it a bit of a style. Her suite is located at Phenix Salon Suites in A-101, but I got mixed up since there was a suite called "Hair by Moni G" next door, so just a heads up to new clients. For hair I wanted to do a more subtle balayage with cooler tones. I think Monica did an excellent job with my hair but more importantly she made me feel really good. It was nice chatting with her for the first time and it really added to the experience of getting my hair done.
