Their cancellation policy is that you cannot reschedule a class without a week's notice. Which doesn't take a family's real life into account. If you don't give them a week's notice, you are out the money for that lesson and your child will not receive any instruction. They do not prorate for Spring Break, Winter Break and Thanksgiving Break, even though they are closed during those times. They follow the Temecula Unified School district's calender and aren't open during those breaks, but you still pay full price for those months. Lastly, and most importantly, they're swindlers. I had complained about the cancelation policy to them over the phone and stated that I would be looking for a new music school for my daughter AFTER her recital on the 29th of April. I wrote a review on Google that was critical of their cancelation policy as well. In retaliation they dropped my daughter from their school. But of course this was AFTER they were perfectly happy to tale my money for the full month of April. Now they have swindled me out of over $200 and my daughter is unable to perform in the recital she spent months preparing for. I have demanded a refund of that money, but we'll see how that goes. When I demanded an explanation, I was told that my daughter was dropped from the school because of the review I left on Google. ​So I wouldn't trust good reviews because apparently the policy is to drop your child and steal your money if you leave a critical review. I feel the need to also say that they did not tell me my daughter had been dropped from their school. I found out yesterday when I dropped my daughter off. No notice, no nothing. They just took my money and dropped my daughter for a critical review.

My son loves going to lessons and has learned so much, even more than just drums. Nate up front is great with the kids waiting for lessons and Charlene always responds to any emails quickly. The lady over the phone and in person was very helpful and thoroughly explained the year contract. She made sure to mention all the hidden fees beforehand. The instrument itself looked very used. But what do you expect for an affordable price. And since it was a rental, it's going to look worn out. My only concern was it worked. The offer you a complimentary lesson too for renting their instrument. But for some reason, the instructor overbooked and had us wait for half an hour. Not a great thing, especially on a school night. Overall, no complaints here. I will update if anything changes.

My son attended JDS' video production program for disabled adults and had a miserable experience…read more He left after six months and enrolled in another similar video production program where he's now much happier. JDS's program, which is funded by the Inland Regional Center, is poorly managed by an executive director I found to be impatient, unpleasant, overly controlling, and easily annoyed. The executive director is also a blatant liar. She lied to me about details of a violent incident by a student that my son witnessed and said that my son was lying about it. However, my son had text messages from another student who also witnessed the incident and basically confirmed what my son told me. I filed a formal complaint about JDS and its executive director with the IRC. JDS had high staff turnover, too. My son told me that seven staff members left while he was there. One staff member who left is now working in the program that my son is currently in along with some former JDS students.

I'm proud of how my children are learning from their awesome music coaches . Ive attended several of my kids mini concert. Students are very blessed with their talents and creativity. Most teen performers are dressed inappropriately and looked scary . Young children ( young boys and girls) audience are watching them . As a parent , I'm very concerned how these young generations show up themselves to the public. I hope school of rock admin to implement proper , appropriate clothing policy to their students . It's okay to look cool like a rockstar but should be done appropriately.
