My plans were to make a grand entrance, after seeing my mom again in two years, coming from Los Angeles, California. I went over to the near by grocery store that went to growing up and they did not have the goods that I need. Instead, Flowers that were on their way out to the trash. I quickly Google searched the nearest florists and came across Cloud Florist. A nice little boutique shop 3 miles out. I thought I'd give it a shot. Out comes this guy with is cut dog, ready to help. I had told him my struggles and what I was up against. This gentleman understood immediately and started going to work. I had told him a few things extra that I need him to add to the recipe like color alterations. He took this complex concept and went to the back behind the magic curtain like some wizard out of the Wizard of Oz. About 20 minutes later, this guy comes out with the most beautiful bouquet I have ever seen. Decorated with these awesome corsages! I had to tip the guy well because he .are my day!!! I made many calls to many different florists, one of the well-known recommendations actually hung up on me because I didn't know my friend's hotel room number, although I tried to tell them I could get it. I highly recommend Cloud florist.. and you should read about them sometime, three generations in business for over 100 years. I can see why they are still in business! I've always ordered through the website and every arrangement I've ordered has been thoroughly enjoyed. For my latest order I selected the "Designers Choice" arrangement and while I didn't receive a photo, I was told they were "Splederiferous" by my grandma. I'm hoping I can get someone to send me a photo, but I know from previous gifts that they always look amazing. I appreciate the ease of online ordering and the variety of options, as well as the option to include a gift message. I was also able to schedule the flowers for next day delivery. Since I've ordered a few times I'm also on their email list and they send promotional emails, including reminders around the time of previous orders which I thought was really thoughtful. I also liked that they sent email updates notifying me when the flowers were out for delivery and when they were delivered. It allowed me to call my grandma to make sure she received them/knew that she had a gift waiting for her at home. While not necessary, I'd love it if they could add a photo to the email so I could see the arrangement too since it's a long distance purchase, but they do such a great job as it is. The worst experience Ever at the worst possible time, my father's funeral. Let me preface this…read morereview by saying Mayfield Floral has always been good in the past. I haven't lived here for 10 years but I came in for my father's funeral. Imagine walking in the funeral home after you just paid $350 for an arrangement, and it's dead. It looked horrible. They had just delivered it three hours prior. My sister also ordered a $350 arrangement and hers looked even worse!! She literally broke down crying when she saw it. We were horrified and embarrassed. Half of the flowers were dried out and the roses were already over opened. I couldn't even believe what I was seeing. Also, the casket arrangement that we had ordered was supposed to be red white and blue in honor of my Father's service in the Korean war. It was only Red and White. We were heartbroken. Between myself and my two sisters, we ordered over $1600 of flowers. Super disappointed. Will never recommend them and will never be back. We also have pictures of them wilted and dried out!! Even the funeral director said that maybe you forgot to water them?!? Way too much money to be upset and embarrassed on this heartbreaking day.
