Urban Orchid did an amazing job making an arrangement for thanking a friend that hosted us. They are so flexible with pick up times and were very kind and easy to work with. They were able to give me quick feedback and ideas to provide me with exactly what I envisioned! I couldn't have asked for a better experience with this business and I love the end result. Urban Orchard. What a great name! Unique. Which also describes the beautiful flowers I have ordered from them recently and in the past. If you want to see extraordinarily creative and thoughtful flower designs, do look through the Yelp photos. These are what caught my attention. I found this company on Yelp while searching for a florist in the greater Cleveland, Ohio area. Specifically, Parma. After reading reviews and looking at the photos, I knew this was exactly where I wanted to buy my gift of flowers. I called the Ohio City location and spoke with Heather. Explaining my aunt was celebrating a 98th birthday telling her I wanted a more traditional bouquet because of her age. But I still desired that Urban Orchard signature "hipness" for which they are so well known. She got it right away and began describing an elegant and updated version of traditional that sounded perfect. Yay! Regarding delivery, she said it could be delivered Monday with no problem. Another, yay!:) As compared to California prices, the total charge, including delivery, was very reasonable. Ok...one last yay! Thank you, Heather, for your exceptional customer service and for sending me a photo of the flowers before they left the shop. Much appreciated. This business has been in operation since 2011. The owner, Brandon S., sounds energetic as well as a go-getter. And I so enjoyed reading his replies to negative reviews!:) By the way, there are very, very few! You go, Brandon! The business specializes in weddings and has arranged flowers for over 500. And his ties to the community are awesome. I wish I could remember who I spoke with on the phone to give credit, however, I will assume it's a team effort so I give the team 10/10 with asking for a specific arrangement over the phone for same day delivery!!! I asked for monochromatic or 2 color arrangement with if possible a dahlia... bingo!!! Not knowing any florist in Ohio contacted them from California. Requested an elegant arrangement for a celebration of life ceremony and asked them to take a picture of the arrangement since I was not present at the ceremony. The ceremony was happening on the day before Mother's Day which is the busiest business day for the florists but to my surprise they were still able to make a beautiful, elegant arrangement and take pictures for me. There aren't enough superlatives to describe Urban Orchid's arrangements for our son's rehearsal dinner nor the amazing service they offer clients. When I spoke with Laurie about our party, I told her I wanted to "knock the socks off everyone with the centerpieces. They created the most stunning florals I've seen in a long long time, and at a price point that was beyond reasonable!! Everything was coordinated to the room decor. They used the most beautiful and unusual blooms. Everyone remarked on the beauty of the florals and I was so thrilled. I can't thank everyone there for helping make our special evening for our son and new daughter-in-law a gorgeous event. For years, my older son has gotten me flowers from Urban Orchid on birthdays and Mother's Day. My husband and I got married at the Cleveland Arcade in May and wanted to work with a local vendor that had experience with the venue. Urban Orchid fit the bill, having worked quite extensively with the Arcade, and so we chose them out of convenience (it helped that they were some of the more affordable florists in the area, too!). When our flowers finally arrived on our wedding day, I was FLOORED. My bouquet took my breath away. The florist was able to take my half-baked ideas and crazy Pinterest searches and turn them into a true work of art. We can't recommend them enough for your next Cleveland event! Oh! One more reason to love them: we got a boutonniere for our pup to wear as ring barer, and they put a little magnet on it to make sure it would stay on his collar! It is no secret that I live for Urban Orchid. I will literally tell anyone who will listen to me about how much I love them. They have come to be the only florist in Cleveland I will trust for important occasions. They blend quality, class and personality in a seamless way. I recently ran straight to them (obv) when I wanted a bouquet for my parents' 42nd wedding anniversary. With little direction beyond "cheerful," Brandon knocked it out of the park with an interesting, one-of-a-kind lovely arrangement that proves my theory that he's a creative visionary. My mother, who adores flowers, appreciated the juxtaposition of classic peonies (a favorite) with bird of paradise flower and cabbage. It's artistically assembled with a detailed eye. Running a small business during a pandemic must be a nightmare. I'm so grateful they are still accepting orders. They can even give you an exact timeframe for pick-up for curbside pick-up. It was a very easy process. We are, again, so thrilled with the fabulous and brilliance of Brandon and Urban Orchid. read more

I've used Urban Orchid in the past for delivered flower arrangements on holidays and have always been extremely satisfied. I also love stopping in the Ohio City store--it's such a retreat. A couple weeks ago, I had to stop in Urban Orchid to get a quick gift and card for my Aunt's birthday. I told them I needed an inexpensive bouquet for a much loved Aunt. They quickly produced a beautiful lavender-colored bouquet with tissue paper and ribbon. The flowers more than pleased my Aunt! They lasted several days and remained fragrant. Some say all you need is love, love is all you need. But after my experience at Urban Orchid I say all you need is Laurie. I was designing a 60th birthday cake for a surprise party and had my heart set on a dome of peonies to go on top. I knew that the season had passed, but I was determined to find some. I called 6 florists before getting to Urban Orchid. All six of those florists told me they *could probably* find peonies, but encouraged me that they had other things in stock that would be just as nice. It was frustrating to hear that, essentially, these florists wanted to do what was most convenient for them. One even told me 5 separate times how busy they were and that she wasn't going to bother asking the owner if her grower could get peonies or not because it wouldn't be worth the time. Beyond this, when I asked for recommendations of how many flowers I'd need to cover the top of a six inch cake, they all acted like I was asking them how to fly an airplane blind folded. It was a frustrating experience to say the least because in event planning situations you are working with the experts to use their expertise and knowledge. Everyone I was encountering was too busy or unwilling to help. Then came along Urban Orchid. Enter Laurie who literally said "hold my drink" and not only allowed me to handpick the exact peony blooms I wanted in the perfect shades of pink, she worked with the owner to make sure I would have enough for the size cake I was working with. They threw in tiny, baby peonies for free which was incredibly appreciated as out of season peonies can be quite pricy. She allowed me to purchase them on a Thursday but leave them at the shop in the refrigerator until I needed to pick them up to take to the bakery on Saturday afternoon. When I had an appointment that I feared would make me miss their 2:00pm closing time she assured me they'd wait around to make sure I got my flowers. Laurie was kind, helpful, encouraging, and used her expertise as a florist to recommend the best colors, blooms, and formation for setting our flowers on the cake. I'll be back to Urban Orchid. Everything you want in the event planning process is something they offer. The assurance and positive attitude was so encouraging and our cake turned out absolutely beautifully. read more

I am so pleased with Urban Orchid!! We needed to send flowers for a loved ones birthday and I was immediately drawn to the photos of their work. I read so many great reviews and I love to support local businesses that have a passion for what they do, so I was sold. We currently do not live in Cleveland but that was no problem! I made the phone call after viewing some photos online and called in to explain which one I wanted. The super sweet lady on the phone knew exactly what I was talking about, gave me a quote immediately, confirmed a couple of things about the arrangement and then we were on to payment. She took all the information quickly and without any issues. She was extremely personable and I completed the order and phone call with no questions left unanswered and without any doubts about my choice of florist. The next day the flowers were delivered and the recipient absolutely loved them. They are gorgeous and so well done! The folks at Urban Orchid, especially Brandon, are literally artists. They did all the work for my wedding, and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect experience. They really worked within my budget and created something truly spectacular. The piece de resistance of my wedding was the GORGEOUS flower crown that they created for me in lieu of a veil. I gave them some suggestions for flowers and a pastel color scheme, and they came through with the dopest thing I have ever seen. I felt like a literal QWEEN. I wanted to send flowers to my friend as one of her grandparents had passed away. I searched Yelp and found Urban Orchid. They did not disappoint. Urban Orchid is such a cute store with a great staff. I walked in while in the area (because who doesn't love orchids) and everyone was very welcoming. It's a fairly small shop (maybe 800sqft), but it's riddled with great local finds. Plenty of unique plants, outdoor and indoor decorations, and vases. They had some prepared floral arrangements on display and they were to die for. The shop can be a bit pricey, ranging around $5/blossom in an arrangement and $75/plant for orchids. The quality of their products and the know-how of their local florists definitely justifies the price point. I can't wait to go back and see what else there is to find! read more

Owner /operator Brandon Sitler has been working in the floral business for ten years, and during that time has been involved with many of the cities biggest events. Brandon has shared his floral design abilities to create memorable events for the Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals, Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Art Museum, Eaton Corporation and many other of Clevelands finest organizations Weddings are also his specailty having done well over 500 in his career. Brandon believes in giving back to the local community by selling unique gift items made by area artists and donating money to the Cleveland Foodbank for any reusable container that is brought into Urban Orchid.

Since I've ordered a few times I'm also on their email list and they send promotional emails, including reminders around the time of previous orders which I thought was really thoughtful. I also liked that they sent email updates notifying me when the flowers were out for delivery and when they were delivered. It allowed me to call my grandma to make sure she received them/knew that she had a gift waiting for her at home. While not necessary, I'd love it if they could add a photo to the email so I could see the arrangement too since it's a long distance purchase, but they do such a great job as it is. My specific easel was pink Roses and Lillie's. Flowers showed up to the funeral home wrong, missing Lillies and not full at all. I had maybe 20 small roses and 6 inches apart between each flower. So not full either. My mom saw them first and sent them back for Lillie's to be added as that's is what we paid for. I show up to the funeral home and see what they delivered. My heart sank with disappointment ---They looked terrible, wilted, beat up, and sparse. I mean terrible. No joke-- Wilting and browned, dead. My brother's easel didn't even make it to the next day to the church service/burial. We could not go into the store because they are "closed for covid" it's Jan 2023.. We called to voice our upset and "Lynn" who told us it was "well worth the price" then put us on hold for 35 min and waiting for us to hang up, never returned. That is how they treat people grieving. Rip them off, send dead flowers and then never return to the customers on "hold". Do yourself a service and don't go here.
