Holy moly, what an amazing facility and workout! FitLab has been around for several months, but…read moreI've only heard about it recently through ClassPass. With zero ratings / new on ClassPass, I decided to sign up to try it out anyways, and it's one of the best decisions I've made this year. Coincidently enough, one of my former fave OTF coach worked out here, so more of a reason to try FitLab! I signed up for their Hybrid Engine class (HYDOX / DEKA training, etc.) for Monday 6AM, but I wanted to see the facility before a full on class so I wouldn't feel as lost, so I then signed up for "open gym" the day prior. Got there a few mins before it started, and I met Coach/Trainer Larry. He was superb! Larry gave us a nice tour around the facility and described the various machines and stations. He also showed us the amenities- bar, sauna, cold plunge. Amazing! He gave us a nice workout that day as well, focusing on DEKA and we utilized a lot of the stuff- rowing machine, air bike, dumbbells, ski erg, weighted balls, ski pulls/pushes, and more. We also did some body weighted exercises and stretches, as well as some outdoor run up and down the hill. After the workout, he showed us some other stations, more focused on Spartan races. Wow, so strong and inspirational! I had an amazing intro, and was looking forward to the actual class the next morning. Next morning quickly approached, and I was ready for the workout! It was the Hybrid Engine workout, and we did a warmup, then we were divided into groups and were told which stations to rotate around. Nice HIIT style workout focusing on items re HYROX and DEKA. We did some of the machines, some farmer carries, RAM burpees, med ball throws, sandbags, and more. Great intro to a lot of the exercises, and I really enjoyed it. Ended the workout with some dynamic stretching, and I tried the sauna and cold plunge for the first time in my life. Full facilities- locker room, showers, toilets, etc. Shared, which is fine by me. Looking forward to signing up for more classes!

This place is great, what I like most is that it's an actually pretty small place and only offer small size of classes ( no more than 3). I think it's essential for beginners to start in learning the fundamentals. I like all the coaches here. Claudia and Rebecca are awesome, very patient, nice and flexible. I recommend 100%.

I thought she was such a great instructor that I was sure her replacement wouldn't live up. WRONG! Shari is amazing! I love her and only wish she was available more than twice a week! Not only does Shari have a very deep understanding of the body and posture, but she gives great cues. I'm learning so much from her. Things I didn't previously understand about positioning, I now comprehend so much better. Simultaneously to pilates, I also workout with a private fitness trainer, see a physical therapist, multiple (yes, multiple) chiropractors, myofacial release practitioners, and take functional movement classes. So I have quite a bit of experience with different modalities when it comes to body health (or lack thereof). If god forbid, I had to choose just 1 of those to continue, I would for sure pick pilates with Shari. Pilates as taught here isn't just about strengthening. It's about elongating your spine, putting that space back between each vertebrae that we tend to compress, and improving your posture -- something so many of us struggle with today. I find it to be extremely therapeutic and rehabilitative. I used to have a lot of lower back pain -- originating in my teenage years. It became very mild a few years ago. Only after I stopped taking pilates during the first year of the pandemic did I realize the lessened pain was due to pilates. Because the pain level increased during that time off. But now that I'm back, it's virtually gone. I'm always asked how I feel at the beginning of each session. Since I have chronic pain in multiple areas of the body that come and go, my answer might be different each time. Shari takes what I say and then incorporates movements and exercises specifically targeted to help that area. There's more to why I love working with Shari (not least being her sense of humor), but suffice it to say, she's just amazing.

Danny has been helping my group of 3 women (ages mid sixties to mid seventies) for over 10 years…read moreto keep moving, improve balance and get stronger. During that time, one of us may be in recovery mode from surgery. He manages to keep us all pushing our boundaries while being very informed on how not to re-injure ourselves. He makes it fun, it is different every week and he is very informed when we ask why we are doing a certain exercise. I personally think he is amazing and I'm very grateful he keeps me positive. CC is the best!!! I am not new training but I know that there are still so much to learn. I've…read morelearned soooo much in just a few weeks. Turned out I've done some movements incorrectly that cause past injuries I started with CC a few weeks ago but in such a short time, I can already see the result. He breaks down each exercise and explains things in a way I can understand. I am the type that overthink too much, ask too many questions, and need to watch and rewatch and rewatch every movement before it makes sense to me.. he's so patient despite my never ending questions. Most importantly, he makes it fun! It's never one or two boring movements, it's always something new and every little movement builds up my strength. Some of the things I've learned to do since I started: mace (google it; it doesn't look hard but boy, it's one of the most challenging exercises I'm still struggling with); kick and punch (like for reals), and a bunch of core works I absolutely detested and have slowly learned to like (not love, just like). CC is one of the best decisions I've made in my fitness journey!!

The person who runs the place is a horrible human being. My son takes some classes at the center…read morenext door and we have been parking behind the common building for a year ( i was told we could). Bur apparently 2 weeks ago he put his sign on the parking. It would be nice to notify the lady who runs children center in writing so she can notify her clients. The sign is very blurry and hard to see in the dark. He could have left a warning note on the car but instead he chose to tow it leaving me and my 10 yo son stranded without jackets and a wallet on a cold rainy day. On top of it all the tow company stole our identity from a credit card (it was the only charge over the past 2 days and very soon we got a fraud alert). I wouldn't be supposed if this man has a financial gain from involving tow company otherwise I can't see why simple note wouldn't be enough at first.
