I frequent Bold in Berkeley, but so happy to see a second location open up. I visited during their grand opening last week where they were offering free classes. The studio is brand new with more space compared to Berkeley and also new megaformer machines! Lagree is a great workout and has helped with my posture and made me so much stronger. The workouts are challenging and fun- you'll find that shake with slow, controlled movements (time under tension)! The instructors here are warm and welcoming. I also love supporting women-owned businesses- shoutout to Hannah & Ashley! If you're new, they offer 2 classes for the price of 1! Don't forget your sticky socks.

Just did my first class today. Mega Bold Basics with Courtney. I had such a blast. Challenging yet fun. I think it had a lot to do with the instructor as well. She was very good at giving instructions and very warm and welcoming which made me comfortable. I'm hooked and can't wait to go back!

The instructors are super nice and helpful. They help to correct your posture and ensure that you're doing the workout properly. I love that it's a limited class and not crowded. Parking out front is free before 10AM otherwise the structure nearby is free the first hour. The bathroom is super clean as well although you do need a code to use.

Parking is a little tricky for my first time visiting the studio since it is in the middle of downtown. I ended up in a nearby parking lot after circling a few times. Parking lots are cheaper or free in comparison to street parking in Walnut Creek. I'll make sure I allot some time to allow me to park and walk over next time. The studio is super new and beautiful. There are only 8 machines. I see a restroom right outside and a changing room inside. No showers I was the only one in class in my class last night. I got a private lesson lol from Chisom!! Thank you!! That was nice. I look forward to coming back since I got a really good work out. Lagree has to be one of my favorite workouts! I'm feeling stronger already

I fell in love with Lagree at Bold in Berkeley, but happy to have a location closer to home now. The studio is beautiful and brand new. The instructors are super helpful and really nice people. If your looking for a workout that builds muscle and won't leave you broken like other workouts, Bold is the place for you.

Some more beautiful murals nearby!

I wanted to like this studio, but was left sorely disappointed…read more The studio is beautiful and spacious, although I found the huge store in the front a bit pretentious, with all the tarot card decks, crystals, etc. that was just too bougie for my taste. I was also disappointed by the instructors. The first instructor got all righteous and told us how "sad" we made her feel after she asked people to move over to make space and we didn't automatically respond, in part because some were confused about which way we should move (it was a very large class of more than 50 people.) She treated us like an annoyed mother telling her children how disappointed she was with them. I did get a good workout, but was a bit perturbed by her ungenerous feeling toward us. Give people the benefit of doubt before reprimanding them! The teacher of the other class was also off putting as she started her class by asking students what yoga meant to them. I don't think it's appropriate to quiz students about why they're in class and then subject others to their answers. Others might disagree, but I just want to practice and then get on with my day, not be tested to see that my relationship with yoga is intact. Needless to say, this studio is not for me!

With that said, I really want to highlight how amazing and attentive Coach Alex was. She was incredibly supportive and helpful , even going as far as telling me that if she ever saw my name on the class roster again, she'd put together a workout that focused less on legs because of my disability. That level of awareness and care meant a lot. The front desk attendant was also incredibly sweet. Overall, it was such an amazing experience. The workout itself was fantastic, and I genuinely cannot wait to go back when I'm able to reactivate my membership. Highly recommend!

Ya'll this place will get you in shape in no time. I tried the Lagree class. The instructor was so nice and allowed me to switch over from the Climb x Boot Camp class when I showed up. I was also able to purchase a pair of grippy socks onsite for about $10. The music was good, the lingo will take sometime to learn, but I appreciated the instructor coaching me and helping to position me in the right position, and gave me words of encouragement. There was only 7-8 ppl in the class so I wonder what it's like when it's full. I appreciated the work out bc it challenged me to push myself just a bit more. I had a good sweat and worked my upper body to the point where my arms were going to give out on me, half way through but I kept pushing just a little more. I appreciated that there was no pushy sales person trying to get me to purchase a membership. Now I can give it sometime and a proper think. Everyone was pleasant and professional from the staff to the members in the room. Nicolette was subbing from Danville and she was a great instructor. Provided me with a quick history about how Lagree was established. I definitely hope to come back and try the climber/boot camp class.

I…read morehad lost most of the baby weight through diet and cardio, but I knew I needed to rebuild strength. I'd done reformer Pilates back in college and loved it, so I started exploring studios nearby. After trying a few in the area, I found X2O Pilates, and I was instantly hooked. They use an Xformer, which is a bit different from traditional reformers. It's like a blend between classic Pilates and Lagree-style training, and it delivers serious results. Since starting a little over a year ago, my body has completely transformed. I have visible abs for the first time since my early twenties, and I'm more toned and defined overall than I've been in years. Eventually, I convinced a few friends to come with me; though they were definitely intimidated at first. But after just one class, they were hooked too! Every instructor at X2O is incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and kind. They each bring their own unique style to class, but you truly can't go wrong with any of them. If you've been thinking about trying Pilates, this is your sign... go try X2O. You're going to love it!

Joining TruFusion is helping as I don't believe I would push myself like I am here on my own. This is a great way to start the new year. They offer a large list of classes, pilates, yoga, HIIT, Barre, yoga, some are a combo, heated and non-heated classes. The instructors are great, so far my favorites are Maria and Desirae. Both are clear in their instruction and were able to see my struggle to offer modifications in a very humble welcoming way. TruFusion makes it easier for me not having to think of a training plan. I book my classes on their app up to a week ahead and show up. The value for what I am getting is worth it. I kind of wish I would've done it sooner. They have some intro promos. I def recommend taking advantage.

I've tried several other fitness studios in SF, but nowhere comes close to comparing with TruFusion with its extensive class offerings, motivating instructors who made classes so fun that I got hooked on them, and pristine facilities. However, I'm happy that the Walnut Creek location exists to fill the void. While it's not as convenient as the SF location was since I have to commute from the city, I'm still super grateful and know it's so worth it. My first time taking a class at the Walnut Creek studio, I arrived after my class started due to some traffic slowdowns. I was fully aware of the studio's "no late entry" rule, so I asked if there was anything I could do and explained my situation. The front desk staff were extremely kind and offered to switch me to a different class that hadn't started yet. I ended up taking a hot power vinyasa class, something I hadn't gotten around to at the SF location. I was a little apprehensive, since I don't know the names of all the yoga positions, but I needn't have been concerned. The instructor gave clear instructions at a reasonable pace, and at no point was I confused. I'm so impressed and definitely want to take a vinyasa class again. It looks like, for the foreseeable future, I will be spending my weekend mornings getting my sweat on and feeling the burn at TruFusion Walnut Creek. Can't wait to take more classes!

I remember a couple months into the program noticing my body changing. Doing a variety of things was just easier and no more back issues. I wholeheartedly endorse Contra Costa Pilates to everyone.
