UPDATED 09/09/26: BEWARE!! I've been an MP client (Lafayette) attending several Group classes weekly for the last year and a half. I usually purchase class packages since I attend so frequently. When I purchased a package of six classes back in May, I clicked to purchase but transaction did not go through (I got the small gray square with a gray circle saying Something Went Wrong response on my phone). I tried 2 other times and got the same response. I checked my account balance the next day, and had been charged for all 3 packages of six classes each for a total of 18 classes! I sent an email to the Studio Manager IMMEDIATELY requesting a refund for the 2 extra packages. The response I received was ABSOLUTE TWADDLE! I communicated how disappointed I was by their inaction, and received no response after that. This makes me sad as I really enjoy the classes and the instructors I've been going to on the regular, but I am loathe to lay out any more $ there. *I did use all 18 classes - class packages are good for six months. ** I previously had given a 5 star review and don't believe in negative reviews, preferring to work any issues out personally. read more

Mighty Pilates in Lafayette has changed my life, quite literally. I have been coming to this studio for over a year now and I have had such a fantastic experience with everyone - teachers, staff, and fellow attendees. The culture here is super positive and professional. The classes are unparalleled. Each instructor is super knowledgeable and I cannot say enough great things about how they each challenge me while also giving everyone in the class an assortment of adjustments for each person's skill level. I am not top of the pack when it comes to my Pilates abilities but I have never ever once felt unsupported or judged for that from any of the staff members. In fact, the instructors are so attentive and mindful of offering work arounds. With their input, I can adjust so the class works for me and I am beyond grateful for the flexibility and ingenuity of the instructors in the mixed level courses. I have been taking classes at Mighty Pilates Lafayette for 2+ years. This is a lovely studio with a great staff. The manager, Kelisha, has helped me several times when I had to take breaks due to injury or travel. The online reservation system works very well. The teachers are top-notch. (Special shout-out to Lori for gentle yet effective classes that challenge the body and brain.) The atmosphere is energizing and relaxing at the same time. I've been to dozens of classes here at Mighty Lafayette and today was the first time I had Rocky. I don't know what training she received but every position she had us do had everyone confused and almost in pain. Why am I doing a frog pose with my stomach on the box and then a cobra? LOCAL RAVE: I have walked by Mighty Pilates more than a hundred times and it has always felt very daunting, especially when seeing all the complex-looking equipment and contraptions! Fortunately I had a friend encourage me, and so I signed up for Lori's group class (Registration was online and a breeze). From beginning to end my experience was incredible, Lori was so knowledgeable & able to communicate very effectively and I found myself isolating muscles during stretches & strengthening that I didn't think I had any control over. Clean, bright, and cute Pilates studio! Front desk staff were friendly and welcoming which is nice since it can be intimidating to go to a new studio. The equipment was well maintained and I thought the instructor(Lencola) was very nice and took care to introduce herself and and ask if I had any injuries since this was my first time there. She also did a great job consistently demonstrating the exercises for reference instead of just walking around the entire time and giving verbal cues like some other studios. Class was full but she still gave corrections. The re:form class I felt was doable for people of all levels so would recommend even for those new to Pilates. I felt it was less hectic/intense than lagree. The space itself was spacious to me esp compared to the studios I go to in downtown Los Angeles. Would recommend! read more

It's alright, a few instructors are more welcoming than others. The advanced class instructor seems to think because it is an advanced class, she does not need to "teach" or correct anybody. I've been to other studios where the instructors really focus on the mind body connection, vs this place is just having someone giving you instructions on a reformer. read more

I have been traveling all over the country playing in my various golf tournaments, currently I am ranked 22nd in the world as an amateur golfer over the age of 55, and was Northern California and Southern California Senior Player of the year. Mighty Pilates has the absolute best equipment, and instructors with many classes to choose from, the studio is very clean and easy to access daily for my schedule. I'm fairly new to Pilates and they didn't acknowledge the fact that I have never been here before, so no one went over with me on how to use the reformer. As a result, I made lots of mistakes throughout the class and the instructor seemed annoyed that she had to keep helping me. I would've liked to come back if I had a proper introduction but I'll just try a different location that's more accommodating. read more

I am so happy that Mighty Pilates has opened a studio in Lafayette! The studio is beautiful and makes you feel more serene the moment you walk in. All of the instructors I have had so far (~10) have all been wonderful. The workouts are always slightly different so I never get bored. I've been doing Pilates as part of my fitness program for over a year, and decided to give Mighty Pilates a try when they opened in Lafayette. The studio is very spacious, clean, beautifully appointed, and well-equipped with very high quality reformers. Every class I've taken has had an excellent instructor who has clearly been engaged and not simply going through the motions. The owners and staff are also very friendly and engaging, as well as being very professional in their follow-up. This includes routinely using class reviews to gauge the level of satisfaction of those taking classes, and monitor the performance of their instructors. I love this place. I'm the one who hates exercise and gym. I was searching a Gyrotonic at first but couldn't find any in my area but it popped up many Pilates studios. I reached out to 3 places by calling and I decided to give a try here. Their receptionist is friendly and patient to explain things to me. I immediately purchased a personal training class then I couldn't wait to start so I purchased a single studio class to try out. First class with Caroline was great even I was pretty clumsy but I was comfortable. Then I scheduled a 1-1 class with Felicia and a beginner class with Lori. They are wonderful . To be honest , I don't even know what Pilates is. I have 0 knowledge and just want to try out. I'm very happy to find a studio that I don't have a fear of and I don't have to worry about poor knowledge to begin with ( obviously there are many people like me there so I'm not alone). I've been taking classes at the Lafayette and Berkeley studios for 2 months now and really enjoy the instructors at Mighty Pilates. The instructors are great and the front desk staff are pleasant. Instructors do a good job of changing up the exercises and routines and give options for progressions based on your level of experience. Heard about Mighty from my Marin riding group who love pilates and say great things about owner Kricket and manager. Recently moved to the neighborhood and stopped by after Philz my favorite new coffee stop but was ignored. I stood there waiting at the desk for a few minutes but gave up as clearly it wasn't a good time for your chatty staff. I left as soon as the taller gal with pretty wavy brown hair looked mad I was there. I believe the studio was open as the door was. I know I do not "fit" the look. Either way no thank you. 2 stars for how bright the studio looked. Wow! One wouldn't expect such an unwelcoming attitude though. Maybe it's a different Mighty?
