The best lagree studio in the East Bay! I highly recommend! The instructors are great and the workout is so effective. Lagree is hard to grasp initially, so be sure to give yourself a few classes to get the hang of it.

such a great experience with Jess! she challenged me and made me feel welcome. my abs were so sore days later it hurt to laugh. clean, beautiful modern studio and super easy to book. it's never too crowded. awesome parking lot right across trader joe's. i'm just really bummed that i won't be able to make it out to danville often since i'm coming from san lorenzo. waiting on a new studio around here

The instructor Leslie was very kind and helpful, all the people in the class were very friendly too! The wall with the mirrors and lights is beautiful. It's very clean and everyone wipes their equipment after the workout. I really felt like I had a great workout from this class both during and after. I will come back but especially to take a class with Leslie because I liked her! The pricing is a bit expensive but that isn't unusual for Pilates reformers classes. So I will likely come in on a drop in basis. Check them out! :)

For two years, I dealt with back issues so severe that I had to wear a back brace for six hours a day. During that time, I saw a chiropractor and even had a cortisone shot to alleviate the constant tension I was living with. I also tried intense workouts like boot camps and P2P, hoping that strengthening my core and building muscle would help relieve the pain--but nothing worked. That all changed when I started Pilates. Now, six months later, I can hardly believe how far I've come. I haven't needed a back brace since the first week of Pilates. My knees feel great, and my back feels like I'm 25 again--despite being 55. Pilates has truly transformed my body and my life. This version clarifies your journey while emphasizing the positive impact Pilates has had on your health.

The cost can be challenging, but I suppose this is the case for Pilates. They do offer options, from 8 classes a month to unlimited. It's a very clean facility, seems organized. Staff is kind and welcoming. The staff keeps the pretty impeccable. The location is great, nested in a very convenient plaza in Danville. Near a pharmacy, a juice store, restaurants. It's almost impossible to get into classes at the Danville location. Paying $200 for 8 classes and not being able to book even a few sessions is very disappointing. On top of that, I received multiple last-minute cancellation notifications over weekends--three times--which makes it even harder to plan. Trying to cancel my membership has been even more frustrating. I've been attempting for over a month--sent emails and made several calls. I finally managed to speak to someone once, and she mentioned she couldn't process the cancellation because the manager was on maternity leave. She said she would follow up, but I never heard back. After two weeks, I received a response saying my membership would only be paused, not canceled, due to a one-month notice policy. Also, I was once denied entry for being just 7 minutes late, which felt very rigid considering how often classes get canceled on their end. Overall, this has been a very disappointing and frustrating experience. I would not recommend this location based on my experience.

The studio is very pretty - exposed beams, beautiful views of trees, great vibe and nice equipment. When we walked in, the manager? or perhaps owner? asked if we had done reformer Pilates before. I have but my mother hasn't. Regardless, the class was listed as all levels, so I didn't think it mattered. He looked at us like we had 4 heads and proceeded to tell us that she shouldn't have come if she hadn't done it before and he would have to ask the instructor if she could...instruct... my mother (who is in great shape and shouldn't have trouble picking up reformer) - his reasoning: "there are 9 people and that's a lot". I don't think I have felt less welcome in a Pilates studio and I live in LA. Normally people with injuries and at various levels of their fitness journey are welcome. We walked in and my party of 3 was half of the entire room. Luckily the instructor was gorgeous, and amazing, and sweet, and instructed us with ease. Overall the class was good and at the end, the manager ended up giving us a discount - perhaps he could tell how offended I was? Or felt badly? Or maybe he decided to be nice at the end and didn't realize how he came across when we arrived? Regardless, this place IS worth attending, but hopefully this review is read and the manager/owner can make people feel more welcomed in the future.

Here's the short version : It really really works and I am thrilled with the treatment, the process and Stephanie. The details; In spite of a very clean diet and regular workouts, I was not able to lose weight gained a few years ago. This treatment is really not about weight loss, it 's about losing inches that so far have not come back. The treatment name sounded like dry ice and freezing, but it's more like a lovely massage that is warm and cold. It's so relaxing that I can't really describe it more than that. The reason I felt compelled to write about it today is that this morning for the first time I looked in the mirror and saw the frame of a body I liked, not a lumpy potato bod. I lost 5 inches in 5 treatments.. and am signing up for more! The facials deserve their own 5 star review and so does Stephanie. Not only is she expert in fitness and treatments, she radiates positive energy and encouragement!

Five stars isn't enough for what this studio has done for me!…read more I'll be honest: I used to be a total Pilates skeptic. I always thought that if I wasn't drenched in sweat or gasping for air, it wasn't a "real" workout. I couldn't have been more wrong. I came to IMX Pilates out of necessity. I had surgery for what my doctor described as "the worst type of meniscus tear," and even after a full year of physical therapy, I was still struggling to get back to 100%. I was frustrated and willing to try anything. After hearing several friends rave about how IMX literally fixed their knees, I decided to give their 4-month introductory pass a shot. The results have been nothing short of a miracle. In just four months, my knee has made more progress than it did in an entire year of PT. I finally feel like myself again. And as the absolute icing on the cake? My stomach is flatter and my glutes are more toned than they've been in years. I just renewed my membership because I cannot wait to see what the next four months (and beyond) will do for my body. A huge shoutout to the instructors here--they truly are the BEST. They all have such wonderful, distinct personalities that every class feels fresh and fun. It's impossible to get bored when the energy is this good. Thank you, IMX Pilates, for exceeding every expectation and being even better than the rave reviews I heard. If you're on the fence--especially if you're recovering from an injury--just do it. Your body will thank you!

I wanted to like this studio, but was left sorely disappointed…read more The studio is beautiful and spacious, although I found the huge store in the front a bit pretentious, with all the tarot card decks, crystals, etc. that was just too bougie for my taste. I was also disappointed by the instructors. The first instructor got all righteous and told us how "sad" we made her feel after she asked people to move over to make space and we didn't automatically respond, in part because some were confused about which way we should move (it was a very large class of more than 50 people.) She treated us like an annoyed mother telling her children how disappointed she was with them. I did get a good workout, but was a bit perturbed by her ungenerous feeling toward us. Give people the benefit of doubt before reprimanding them! The teacher of the other class was also off putting as she started her class by asking students what yoga meant to them. I don't think it's appropriate to quiz students about why they're in class and then subject others to their answers. Others might disagree, but I just want to practice and then get on with my day, not be tested to see that my relationship with yoga is intact. Needless to say, this studio is not for me!

Before the session, they take the time to talk with you in such a calm and thoughtful way -- asking about your health, past experience, how you're feeling, and your goals. And it never feels like a formality -- you can tell they truly want to understand you. I really appreciated how they match you with the right class. It never feels like you're just placed wherever there's availability. Instead, they recommend what actually fits you best -- so you feel comfortable, safe, and supported. The sessions themselves are both professional and gentle. The instructors are always attentive -- they carefully watch your form, make small adjustments, guide you, and support you throughout. And they do it in such a kind, respectful way that you feel encouraged, not pressured. One of my favorite things is the small group size. It creates this almost private-session feeling. You're seen, you're heard, and you get real attention -- which is so rare and so valuable. The atmosphere in the studio is incredibly warm and calming. It feels like a place where you can slow down, take a breath, and just be taken care of for a little while. For me, it's become more than just a workout -- it's truly a little time for myself. After each session, I leave not only feeling good physically, but also with this sense of inner calm. And every time I think -- I'm so glad I found this place. If you're looking for a studio with genuine care, professionalism, and a truly thoughtful approach -- I wholeheartedly recommend it

But what has truly kept me coming back is the owner Alina and the community she has built. Alina has a rare gift for making every member feel like family rather than just a paying customer. That meant the world to me during a deeply difficult season of my life when I was navigating infertility struggles. Her classes gave me a sense of connection to my own body at a time when I was really struggling mentally, and that was an invaluable gift. When I finally became pregnant, Alina and her instructor Woo began offering prenatal classes specifically designed to keep both Mom and baby safe. Together, they carefully modify exercises to ensure you can stay active and strong throughout your pregnancy without compromising your baby's wellbeing. And now, I am 4 months postpartum, and Alina has continued to show up for me by welcoming my son to class so I can get my workout in without worrying about him. She even offers "Mom and Baby" classes, making it possible for new moms to prioritize their fitness without having to leave their little ones behind. Pilates Forever isn't just a studio -- it's a community that meets you wherever you are in life. I'm so grateful for Alina and her staff for everything they have created here.
