Came here last week for the free trial class and I loved it! I'm currently trying out different gyms/studios to see my favorites and this one is definitely one I'd love to return to! The instructor Leslie was very kind and helpful, all the people in the class were very friendly too! The wall with the mirrors and lights is beautiful. It's very clean and everyone wipes their equipment after the workout. I really felt like I had a great workout from this class both during and after. I will come back but especially to take a class with Leslie because I liked her! The pricing is a bit expensive but that isn't unusual for Pilates reformers classes. So I will likely come in on a drop in basis. Check them out! :) read more

I wanted to share my journey with IXM. I started doing Pilates in June 2024, primarily because I had been struggling with chronic knee and back pain. For two years, I dealt with back issues so severe that I had to wear a back brace for six hours a day. During that time, I saw a chiropractor and even had a cortisone shot to alleviate the constant tension I was living with. Great place to start for beginners! My brother and I wanted to get our mom into Pilates and we spoke to Josh who I believe is the owner. He was super helpful and attentive and assured us he was in great hands. My mom has taken his classes and said they were great. Difficulty depends on which class and which instructor you take. The teachers here are fantastic, and I really appreciate the variety of activities offered in each class. Class times tend to fill up quickly, so plan ahead. I also love the flexible membership options--whether you're looking for unlimited access or something more specific, like 3 days per week. What really sets this studio apart, though, is how involved the owners are. They are incredibly responsive to texts and calls, and always quick to resolve any issues. I've never had any trouble canceling my membership, which is something I can't say about other studios. The only improvement I'd suggest is offering earlier morning or evening classes during the week to accommodate those of us with 9-5 jobs. Their earliest class starts at 8:30, which can be a bit late for some. read more

I'm an Angelina (living in LA), but spending my summer in the East Bay. To keep up with my regular Pilates routines I had going in LA, I checked into this IMX-Pilates studio for a summer membership. I started in late July and I go 2-3x per week. What I love about the San Ramon IMX Pilates studio its community-oriented approach to their Xercizer and Core-Lower Body group classes; the instructors are invested in sharing holistic approaches to (female) body/mental fitness and health, as well as ensuring that everyone feels welcomed and celebrated for their physical efforts. I'm also glad that I don't feel the need to "compete" for the most toned, tanned, or Barbie-like figure-- I appreciate how many different body shapes there are in one group class, as well as the variety of ages and ethnic groups that this Pilates studio attracts. The studio offers a variety of Pilates classes, which range in level (beginning-intermediate-advanced) and also focusing on particular parts of the body. I especially enjoy Josh's Core-Lower Body group classes and Kristin's upper arm and shoulder strength focused classes. And believe it or not, these pilates classes have helped me become a stronger swing dancer. I dance Lindy Hop and my swinging motions at the hips and core have only improved because of these Pilates exercises :) But as the summer comes to a close, I will soon be returning to LA (and back to my LA pilates studio). Nevertheless, I will miss the San Ramon Pilates community who has warmly welcomed me and who has helped me keep in tip top shape! read more

I wanted to try something new. I do weight training and yoga but was looking for another way to keep in shape. Omg! I love the Pilates Studio. All the instructors bring it and make it fun. I've been doing it for 3 months 4x a week and I actually can see my abs starting to take shape. I came across this studio shortly after they opened, after hearing great things about it from a coworker. I don't consider myself to be very athletic, and I have been pretty out of shape since having a baby a few years ago. I was really reluctant to take an exercise class, but I wanted to find something that would help me tone my body for my upcoming wedding. I attended a free trial class, and I was so surprised by how much I loved it! The studio is beautiful, and everything looks clean and new. The classes take place in a room with several Pilates reformers, which were originally intimidating, but surprisingly easy to use. I felt like the class worked muscles I haven't worked in years. I had the pleasure of taking a class instructed by Josh, the owner. He's really friendly, and supportive, but isn't afraid to make you work. I've now been going for two weeks, and feel amazing! I have so much energy, and I already feel my body getting stronger. I highly recommend this studio for anyone interested in taking a high quality exercise class. read more

Having been a client of IMX Pilates and Fitness since its inception several years ago, I just wanted to thank Keri and Josh for developing such a quality studio - now 3 studios: San Ramon, Danville and Livermore. The Pilates' instructors are knowledgeable and cater to individual needs while keeping classes that range in size from 2 or 3 up to 8 on track towards a complete workout. There is lots of laughter and fun. Not only do they have numerous Pilates classes, but also Spin and HIT classes that are great for getting my heart rate up. I get a great workout and have a great time at IMX Pilates Bay Area. My personal story: I joined Pilates after I just had my third surgery for a ruptured patella. I signed up and Josh (owner) immediately started to see me twice a week for 1 on 1 sessions until I was strong enough to do a regular basic class. Not only were his sessions a great introduction for me into the world of Pilates, but he worked closely with my Physical Therapist to ensure that the Pilates sessions were consistent with my physical therapy goals. The instructors know everyone by name and take the time to listen to each person's concerns and training needs. What a great service to the community, what else can you want from a fitness provider. I love this place! The classes and coaches are awesome, and I always look forward to getting a good workout in on the reformer! I had never done Pilates before, and I am so happy I tried it out. Not only are they knowledgeable and friendly, but also very accommodating. I recently injured my back, and Josh made sure my form was always proper, and helped me revise some of the movements in order to protect my low back, while encouraging the healing process. I dont work out and the only physical activity I do is taking care of my 10 month old. Given my inexperience, I decided to try a private lesson first to see if this was going to be just another thing I tried and hated without wasting a lot of money. But i loved it! it was fun and surprisingly not as difficult as I thought but it gave me a total body workout. My arms, abs and legs were the good sore today and i am excited to go back! I think if you're a beginner you should start with one or a few private lessons so you don't get discouraged because there is a lot going on at once but its definitely worth it!The owner, Josh was awesome ! read more

After seeing a banner advertising the grand opening this weekend I decided to drop by and see their set up. The Pilates studio is large and filled with plenty of equipment. I met with John (owner) who told me about their classes. I signed up on the spot and stayed to do a class. I'm 57 years old, 40+ lbs overweight and have not worked out in over a year. The instruction I received from John allowed me to fully benefit from the workout. I feel like I used every muscle in my body. I'm so glad I went here today. I was introduced to this studio by a friend of mine, and decided to give it a try. I am so happy I did. I was unsure at first because I live in San Leandro and this studio is in San Ramon. But it was so worth it! From the very first trial class, I was HOOKED! The owners are extremely cool and down to earth, the trainers, Colleen, Timberly and Josh you are all so amazing at working each and every muscle during each class. I've been going 3-4x a week for 3 weeks and have dropped 7 lbs. It's really addicting. I don't think I've ever had a program where i have seen results so fast! I feel good inside and out. I definitely am more confident and have more energy. I'M HOOKED. I look forward to each class. read more

Timberly is the best! She has not been on the instructors schedule this week, but hope she is returning. Although all instructors are good, Timberly has a way of giving each of us her attention & can speak from her own experience with back injuries & such. I was visiting the San Ramon area for an extended period and was searching for a fitness studio. I came across a gem, IMX Pilates. I had done reformer Pilates before and this was by far my favorite Pilates studio. Each class was fun and pushed me towards my fitness goals. The instructors were great and encouraging. They made sure my technique was right and when I felt like stopping they encouraged me to keep going. They also had a great music playlist which is always a plus. IMX also has a 30 minute HIIT class which I truly enjoyed. A 30 minute class may seem short to some but after each class I felt like I had completed a hour fitness class. It's a fun and high intensity class so you don't even realize how quickly the time goes by. I highly recommend IMX Pilates to anyone who is looking for a studio that will push you towards your goals, offers a variety of classes, has classes geared for all fitness levels, plays greats music, and a place where you will enjoy going day after day. read more
