Despite my initial enthusiasm for this establishment, I unfortunately sustained an injury unrelated to club Pilates or this location, which prevented me from continuing my membership. Consequently, my account was frozen due to the injury, and I was not given the option to cancel it directly. However, I was subsequently charged again without a prior curtesy notice. I have all my medical records to substantiate my injuries, but I have yet to receive a courtesy call back from this location. My account was charged four months without my knowledge, and I have sent numerous emails attempting to resolve the issue and collect a refund for services I did not receive. Instead, I have been met with blatant disregard, which is deeply concerning. Out of the 80 classes I was unaware of, I attended three and did not receive any service for the rest of the charges. This situation is a significant loss for me, and the fact that I am being ignored is particularly disappointing. It is evident that this company prioritizes profit over customer satisfaction. I strongly advise against choosing the Pleasanton location for club Pilates. I have friends and family who use other locations and have had no issues obtaining same day responses and refunds, even though their situations were not medically related. I have concrete proof of my inability to attend classes and have yet to receive any response.

I regret signing up for the year-long unlimited membership because I realistically only take about two classes per week, as there are very few classes offered later in the day, (and zero on Wednesday afternoons). The ones that are available fill up very quickly. That said, there are a couple of great instructors here--Lyn and Joon are both fantastic and make the classes enjoyable. Overall, I'm disappointed with how inconsistent the studio has become and would hesitate to recommend this location.

Joya Pleasanton offers a variety of modalities - vinyasa, bikram, Pilates, barre, and HIIT type classes. I take vinyasa and wish there were more j flow vinyasa classes on weekday mornings but I get it, I'm in the minority! The vinyasa instructors have all been excellent - positive, encouraging, and always thoughtful and creative in sequences. The care team is always friendly and they do a great job keeping the yoga rooms tidy and fresh. Parking at Joya Pleasanton can be tricky. It's best to check the schedule and see when classes get out before your chosen class begins. Try to arrive a couple mins after patrons leave. (Here I am, given away my parking secrets!) I'd done reformer Pilates back in college and loved it, so I started exploring studios nearby. After trying a few in the area, I found X2O Pilates, and I was instantly hooked. They use an Xformer, which is a bit different from traditional reformers. It's like a blend between classic Pilates and Lagree-style training, and it delivers serious results. Since starting a little over a year ago, my body has completely transformed. I have visible abs for the first time since my early twenties, and I'm more toned and defined overall than I've been in years. Eventually, I convinced a few friends to come with me; though they were definitely intimidated at first. But after just one class, they were hooked too! Every instructor at X2O is incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and kind. They each bring their own unique style to class, but you truly can't go wrong with any of them. If you've been thinking about trying Pilates, this is your sign... go try X2O. You're going to love it!

The Pleasanton studio is clean and well organized and it is easy to schedule or change classes through their app. But really, the people who teach the classes, and those who attend them, make a difference with their positivity and encouragement.
