We recently had our "Happily Ever After" party (small reception following our wedding ceremony) at Studio 8 and couldn't have been happier. Jason and Nicole, along with their team are extremely accommodating and go above and beyond to ensure your event is just what you desire. I had so much fun here at a friend's wedding. It honestly didn't even feel like a wedding, but more like a giant party, which was the feel for which the couple was going. Highly recommend Studio 8 as a local party venue in Milford. We were fortunate enough to hold our middle school Drama Club cast and crew party there and it did not disappoint. It was karaoke themed and the kids had an absolute blast. The owners were incredible to work with and we are so grateful for their support of the arts. Our goal was to have a party that was reflective of the hard work and effort the students put into their production and this venue certainly reflected that. Alright Hepcats, grab your cool shades, throw on your berets and black turtlenecks, and snap your fingers for Studio 8! I love jazz and I sometimes fantasize that I'm a really cool beatnik type hanging out in a smoke-filled underground NYC jazz club, seating elbow to elbow with my fellow hipsters bobbing our heads back and forth as we indulge in the melodious sounds of Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk, Dave Douglas, Sonny Rollins, Charlie Parker and all the greats. Chill atmosphere, great sound, and cool people. Studio 8 bought my fantasy to life minus the hassle of traveling to NYC and the crowded smoke-filled venue. I went for a wine tasting and jazz event which is part of their Sunday jazz series. For $35 I enjoyed wine tasting from Nicholas Wines and the smooth sounds of Jessy J and the Urban Jazz Coalition (WITH special seating). My friend and I had the real deal experience. We loved it! They were generous with the wine, provided some cheeses and they encouraged guest to bring their own food. The table in front of us brought a full three course meal (so jealous, but I know for next time). The crowd was laid back and friendly; we were seated with an older lady who chatted us up about her love of jazz (especially the music of Marion Meadows) and wine. The evening ended with a conga line led by Jessy J as she did her rendition of Gloria Estefan and the Miami Sound Machine's "Conga." It was epic! Did I mention that the venue is gorgeous? Well, it is! The entrance is unassuming and looks like the side entrance to someones garage but once your inside you get the wow factor (see pics). White and black leather coaches, flat screen TVs, full bar, paper lanterns, hard wood floors, ceiling drapes, the works. It reminds me of a Miami lounge. They also rent out the space for parties and receptions (I would totally have a party here), though I'm not sure what they charge. Loved Studio 8! We just had my daughter's bat mitzvah here and it was a great success. It's basically turn key - they provide a great space, lots of sofas, cubbies, great DJ, high energy dancers and Emcee, you just provide the food and the giveaways. Jason was great to work with leading up to the event, Joe was onsite night of and helped out tremendously and the DJ and entertainment staff was really great. We are at a 16year old birthday party. The DJ would not play the birthday girl play list. Excuses after excuses. I didn't get it, an owner said yes they got last night. This DJ never played a happy birthday song no dry ice, lights going to the music. Told the owner he said nothing. Owner has photo booth in contract then said oh no that's extra. Key is he never sent it back to the mom with his signature. This mother works her butt off to support 3 kids. What she sorry for her baby girl was ruined. The DJ never one got the kids going. Totally not worth the money and now this girl can not get it back. This DJ said pretty much nothing. I'm extremely disappointed and heart broken for this girl. I would never come here for my daughter. Heartbroken I can post the video of the happy birthday if need be. The birthday girl had to say sing. read more

We had a sweet 16 party here and it was a disaster. Our contract said a photo booth was included and we did not receive one. We were told to provide a music list and the dj didn't play the music my daughter wanted. She spent much time out of her evening asking why he was not playing what she wanted. For 2 people who work full time in finance and who have very little free time, my fiancee (now Hubby) and I knew we needed someone who could put together the perfect event, and with minimal handholding. We also wanted to enjoy our family and friends on our wedding day, and not be not sweating over the details! We spoke to over the phone and/or met with 5-10 different planners in the area, but despite the ($)thousands they were asking for, we were not at all impressed with what they could provide in return, and resolved to do it on our own. I called Jason at Party Pro's to talk about using them for lighting and I was so happy with his energy, knowledge, feedback, and services that we hired them to do our entire event! He is a walking wealth of ideas, resources, websites, pictures, and works very well under pressure! We were so appreciative/relieved/grateful that we never had to chase him down, he was always on top of everything. He created and implemented the entire design including the perfect lighting and furniture, and took care our our DJ, MC, & Florist. We got so many compliments from our guests (many revealed to us after the wedding it was the best they had ever been to!) and we were extremely happy with the outcome. Given the time they spent on our wedding and given their resources and affiliations, we we easily saved a ton of money by working through them. We got the "WOW" factor we were looking for, and the entire day went perfectly--We can't thank Jason enough! Jason and one other member of his team DJ/MC'd my wedding just a week ago. He was very charming and full of promises in the contract signing process. I totally took the bait. When the day came, I am sorry to say, they failed in their execution of services. I held my wedding at a venue that they are very familiar with in the hopes it would make the transition from band to DJ easier for all parties involved. See, I had them and an ethnic band both booked and Jason promised me he would take the reigns and steer my wedding night into just the right mix and that he would be able to work with the band and know when to have them stop and start up again. This did not happen. It is truly DISAPPOINTING! Music, food and pictures are all crucial parts of a wedding and I wish I could say otherwise but I was let down. They didn't announce 4 people in my wedding party, they didn't play the music we had on our list (only like one or two songs). It was just not thought out at all. When you are aware that you will be working in conjunction with another band, you come prepared. Overall the wedding was fine, but only after I had a minor bridezilla moment on Jason and his partner. Even my bridal party complained. That makes me sad. But at this point, what can ya do? I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Sorry. read more

We just got married last Friday and we could not have been happier with our choice of CT Party Pros for our DJ, lighting, and decorations!!! Jason was the most amazing DJ anyone could ever ask for! He handled every single one of my (crazy) requests and just made every detail perfect! All of our guests continue to rave about his wonderful personality and excellent music selection from start to finish. We even had a small problem the night of the wedding with the mp3 I had given him for the father daughter dance (totally my mistake!!!) and he took care of it instantly without missing a beat! My husband and I are so grateful to Jason and his team for making our wedding the most amazing night ever!!! I feel like the most important parts of your night are the food and the DJ and we could not have made a better choice for our DJ.
