I kindly asked her if she could go over the roots with a straightener to prevent frizz and to fix some of it she literally just did a little piece. the front of my hair looks super weird and what got me the most is she kept making comments about my hair and how it was taking a while to dry, no one has ever done that they always are so sweet, I don't think that was kind or necessary.

Appt was set for Monday at 8:15 am. At 7:50 am on day of appt, When I was driving over to Dry Bar, my husband texted me that DryBar had called him. He could not check their message as he was on a zoom meeting. I called DryBar immediately at 7:50 am and left them a message saying I was on my way and would arrive at 8:15am. I was clear on who I was, my appt time and my return phone number. I was also driving thru traffic and a distance away so that I would arrive on time. I arrive on time, and was told they didn't have enough stylists and I couldn't have my 8:15 am appt. Only a 9:00 am, which I repeatedly said wouldn't work for me due to an AM appt that I had. Thus, the reason I made the blow out appointment time at 8:15am. The attitude of Dry Bar El Segundo was ; "too bad for you, sorry you drove all this way for nothing. We tried to call you, but we didn't listen to your voicemail and we didn't call you back. Soooo,,,, Oh well. You came here for nothing. No biggie" They shouldn't allow customers to book times that aren't available, and then ignore their calls when customers return theirs immediately. Calling 30 minutes before a scheduled appointment to cancel is so unprofessional. Will never be back.

Obnoxious and Unaccommodating…read more I'm a local for 30 years in the South Bay. I usually get my hair cut at Joseph Martin or Christophe in Beverly Hills. It so happens today, I'm just not in the mood to drive up town. It's already 2 o'clock in the afternoon. So, I got on line and search for local hair salon. I came up on this place and something about it appealed to me. At the time, I saw there were about 5-6 stylists on their website, so maybe 1 is in between appointments that would squeeze me in, It could happen. So I got to the Salon and it felt very unwelcoming. No greetings, nothing as I stood there. First of all, there were only 2 customers in there, and it looks like 2 stylists and one was the owner. He finally looked at me and asked what I need. I said I need a haircut, and there was a big pause and then he went to say he's booked. That's ok, but then the reluctance in offering any kind of service or remedy was so apparent. By the way, where are the rest of the stylists? hmmm. I stood there, unmoved, and he went on to say it will be a while. I'm thinking maybe later today or? but nothing came forth. So I had to ask, A while meaning later today or what are we looking at? he said he's booked for 6 weeks out, without offering to schedule me for another visit, maybe even with another stylist. He just simply turned me away. That's a first. Even if you go to the most posh hair salons in Beverly Hills, no one is ever booked out 6 weeks, especially looking around at this hole in the wall, not likely. Seems more like there's a stench of discrimination. He then suggest I should go upstairs to another salon and see if there's any availability. No thanks, I didn't ask. I would never again give it a second thought.
