I showed the first stylist multiple reference photos of what I wanted, but she ended up adding a very dark root color to my already lightened hair, which was the complete opposite of the look I asked for. After expressing my concerns, the salon did have another stylist step in to help correct it, which I appreciated, although I waited nearly two hours in between. The second stylist made me feel much more comfortable and did improve the situation, but I still left unhappy with my hair overall. The correction consisted of using a color remover on the roots and applying toner to the rest of my hair, and I was charged $265 for it. At the end of the day, my hair looked better than what the first stylist did but still nowhere near what I originally asked for or envisioned. I'm leaving this review because I think communication and transparency are incredibly important, especially with color services. What upset me most was not just the outcome, but the way the situation was handled overall. I understand that corrections can take time and effort, but if I was going to be charged $265 for a corrective service after my hair was initially mishandled, that should have been clearly communicated to me beforehand. I truly wanted to love this salon and leave feeling taken care of, but unfortunately I left feeling disappointed, uncomfortable, and unhappy with the overall experience.

Love this salon! All of their team and stylists are always super friendly and welcoming and the space is beautiful. Stephen who does my hair is a pro! I have curly hair with a mind of it own and he always knows how to cut it so it lays just right. I am on my second Brazilian Blowout, which is a total life changer for this curly haired girl. I can wear it curly or straight without frizz and minimal drying time. I am very conscious of taking good care of my hair with the Brazilian and my last treatment lasted 4 months! If you need an expert with curly hair, who knows how to cut and style Stephen is amazing, his knowledge, attention to detail, honesty and integrity is above par. He was so informative about previous treatments I had received, color, highlights, cuts and Brazilian Blowouts, I was looking for someone who had experience in all areas. best salon in the south bay by far! Erin is my stylist and she is truly wonderful. I am probably one of her most difficult clients since I am so picky with my hair color :) but I trust Erin 100% and always leave happy. Erin has made my hair easier to maintain with natural looking highlights and it is overall healthier than ever with conditioning treatments she does between color appointments. To her credit, she was able to arrange for another stylist, Erik to take the appointment so I would not have to reschedule. She even booked the replacement appointment on my behalf. Before the appointment, I specifically asked Rachel to have the new stylist honor the price she had quoted me. She assured me that she would pass along that information to the new stylist. When it came time to pay, I was shocked to learn that Erik charged approximately 40% more than the original quoted price. At no point before or during the appointment was I informed that his pricing was different, despite my explicit request that the original quote be honored. Had I been told upfront about the higher price, I could have made an informed decision before proceeding. Instead, I only found out after the service was completed and payment was due. The lack of transparency regarding pricing left me feeling misled and frustrated. I understand that different stylists may have different rates, but clear communication about pricing changes is essential, especially when an appointment is reassigned by the salon at the last minute. Unfortunately, this experience left a negative impression.

However, over time I noticed that once she becomes comfortable with a long-term client, she grows complacent. Her root touch-ups became rushed and sloppy, and she didn't seem to care if she blended over or erased the highlights. She also didn't straighten the hair well afterward, and I found myself having to point out every small detail. The owner of the salon, on the other hand, is a true professional. You could clearly see the difference when one day the owner and this stylist finished two clients at the same time--one looked polished and elegant, while the other walked out having wasted her money. It was honestly embarrassing, and I felt bad for the woman who didn't receive quality work. At this point, I genuinely don't want to return to this salon.
