This review is long overdue. I've been getting my hair highlighted and cut by Sara A for years, and she is AMAZING! She is an artist with coloring my hair and uses multiple shades to make the most beautiful sun-kissed highlights that look natural as they grow out. Not only is she the best hair stylist I've ever been to, she is so nice and easy to talk to. I always leave feeling like a million bucks! I had the best haircut of my life with Denise! I wanted to find a salon close to home and Beck and Brix popped up. The pretty woman at the desk was so nice and Denise went above and beyond. SUPER DISAPPOINTED. I was a walk in yesterday around 1:30pm. I did not expect to be seen as it was busy, but I did expect to make an appointment. For whatever reason, she could not book me an appt. She asked for my name and phone number and said she would call me. That never happened. Fast forward to the next day ... no call. So I walked by again (live a block away) and the same girl said "Hi can I help you" When she realized it was me she said we got busy and I couldn't call you. I responded .. ok... can I make an appoint? She said "I'm sorry we don't have any" ... I said "EVER??" ... To which she responded .. "oh, next week we do" ... She didn't say, can I book you one? So I said... "it's ok I'll go somewhere else" .. she said, with a smile... "Ok!" I felt like I was in Pretty Woman with Julia Roberts... maybe my sweatpants didn't give off a good look?? .... Cat is just the greatest. Really talks through it with you to make sure you're aligned on what she's going to do. My hair was a disaster from a bad highlight and cut done elsewhere. She remedied it beautifully and now after going back to her a second time, I'm sold yet again! I won't stray from her. She's very talented and so sweet. Everything in this salon is picture perfect. You couldn't find a better location. When you walk in you instantly know that you will be well taken care of. Everything is so beautiful. I just love the colors and the expertly designed decor. Kelly is my go to, she knows exactly what I want even when I don't know how to express it. Her attention to detail is refreshing. Every hair in the right place, color that looks so beautiful, shiny and natural. I also love that she uses amazing Monat products on my hair. This last time she recommended the Advanced Hydration Shampoo and Conditioner. I'm obsessed with the smell, it's like a very subtle cologne scent. Masculine yet feminine at the same time. My hair felt amazing and healthy. Kelly is so wonderful and I just love getting my haircuts at this salon. Can't wait for my next appointment. My blonde always looks bright and sunny- not too warm and not too ashy. Best of all, she is FAST- full highlights, toner, base break and blowdry on thick, long-ish hair in 1 hour 45 mins. This was my second appointment with her, each time I've done a haircut and keratin treatment on my frizzy wavy hair. The cut is amazing and super detailed. She makes sure to snip all those pesky split ends. The hair wash and scalp massage feels incredible. The keratin treatment is a freaking miracle on my unmanageable hair. I am super impressed with Cat and her hair skills! She's so sweet and fun and her bubbly personality will make you feel like besties right away. I understand completely about the Covid situation. Trust me my appointments have been rescheduled more than 2 times. I'm not the type of client to be upset over a few times. Regardless why not ask if I would like another stylist? That would be better then leaving me to fend myself trying to find a new salon which I couldn't find so last minute. Also leave a message when your receptionist calls to cancel an appointment days before it's scheduled. Your salon called and left no message, then sent a text the next day confirming my appointment which I responded to which is why I didn't call back. Then called and again and canceled. Or if your stylist are all booked offer some type of compensation? Anything would make people more understanding. Maybe 5% off your next service anything is better than not trying to help the situation. Regardless I hope the stylist feels better and recovers quickly. Thank you for listening to my comments. Ridiculously OVERPRICED for a crap highlight! I went twice... this first time was not bad... this time... O M G $370 for a root bump, highlight and trim... I should've gone to Beverly Hills... they were too busy and I was shuffled around d between several assistants then the hairdresser messed up my highlights and it looks like I need my roots done! The highlights are at least a quarter inch off the scalp/base and not evenly done so when I part my hair... it looks brown! I asked for heavy highlight and she made it darker around my face too... now I have to go to get it fixed at a different salon bc no way is she going to put me through another 4 hours to have a crap outcome... so pissed read more
