My experience has been similar to one a few reviews down. I've been to high end salons and this is what makes the best stand out from the rest, how they handle it when things don't go right. Right now I feel like I'm just a number to bring in revenue, and no business can sustain itself with that methodology. It's ignorant and unprofessional to think that you (the business) are always right and the customer is wrong. Not to mention bad for business. And the owner (new owner I believe?) is rude, inexperienced and has no idea how to run a business where you should treat even the most difficult situations with respect and patience. This is amateur night with this new owner. For starts here are some things to improve on for a $100 haircut: 1) have sample/for use hair products on hand, so when the hairstylist says oh I'll put some on your hair, they don't then say sorry, we only have the ones 'for sale' 2) don't be so busy/overloaded and short-staffed that you don't get your hair 'professionally washed' by a washer but one person is doing it all 3) try to actually step in and fix things when something doesn't work out. don't let 'ego' take over and pass the buck. Not good customer service. 4) don't try to get away with low overhead, high profit, it's not sustainable. actually things are becoming a little clearer to me now since it's really difficult to figure out who the owners are here. There are probably several hands in the pot. they allowed one of their stylists to contact me repeatedly with no message and once with an unmarked number just to tell me they couldn't accommodate me, pass blame and make me feel bad, could have easily been done via voicemail. very shady behavior. read more

I've had a couple hair stylists do my hair, but after meeting Erica I don't think I can ever trust another stylist ever again. I've had multiple colors but no one has been as consistent, professional and knowledgeable about hair as her. I've been coming to Erica for the past 6years and don't think I could ever trade her in. When I first met her she did a color correction for me; going from a dark black to a highlighted blonde. The girl that first did my hair left it beyond patchy until Erica came to the rescue. Ever since seeing was Erica was capable of, I will make it a point to come to wherever she is at. She definitely stays on top of the trends and styles, always leaving me with the haircuts and color that fit me. Due to her professionalism and knowledge as a hair stylist it would be a hard person to replace. I highly recommend her, as she is by far the best hair stylist I have been with. :) read more

Unfortunately although we hit it perfect the 1st time not the 2nd time. When I tried to get an adjustment (which we all know is awkward) she was able to squeeze in 5-10 minutes, rushed. I'm used to having a relationship with my stylist where it's not so awkward if something's go wrong and they'll make the time no matter what, but the stylists are overly booked here. Erica works very hard, but my 2nd time just didn't work out. I've been told I have to pay in full again, which I'm wiling to do, but they still can't accommodate. I'm waiting to see if there's anything that can be done but I'm in an awkward position (right before my bday) and hoping they can find a way to accommodate me. Even agreed to go to a 2nd stylist there and they still couldn't do it. This review is to be updated but hoping for a better outcome and that I'm not just considered another "number". read more

Hello Salon 1085! One of the first customers in there for the soft opening. Crystal Tye Comeau is AH-Mazing. The salon is perfectly located off Aviation and one of the few salons in Hermosa that comes with parking, HUGE perk. Love the trendy design. Could have fallen asleep when my hair was being washed. The lighting is perfect, the stylists are nice, approachable and down to earth. Obviously Crystal is the best of the best and I won't go anywhere else. She is the person you see when you have a look you are going for. She sets up the game plan to make it happen.
