I do not recommend Carly. I had my hair done months ago. She was cold and acted like she didn't want to work on my hair or talk to me. My hair is naturally blonde and I wanted to go even lighter, she acted like it was an impossible task. My hair is straight and gets a tad poofy after washing but calms down- she said she did not like my hair texture. I'm 26 and yet she kept assuming I was old which was weird. She also double booked and then an assistant finished my hair which she was a lot nicer. My hair color was fine after leaving but I'm not sure if carly left the toner on for too long or what but my hair felt incredibly dry for months... I honestly booked Carly because of her good reviews but I highly DO NOT recommend. I recently went to Haute Aveda Blonde Specialists and booked with Tiana. Tiana was so incredibly nice and got me the exact color I wanted. She took her time, she was sweet and complimented me on how healthy my long hair was. My hair felt healthy and smooth. My favorite hair salon in the South Bay! Mattison is the BEST! I've gone to her for years, since her earlier days at Hush Hush hair salon. I have long hair and am happy with partial highlights / ombre and a hair cut. The results are always great! And she also has a gentle manner in working with hair, so it makes the process enjoyable. 10/10 experience and haircut. Literally the ONLY hair salon I'll ever go to from now on. This was my second time here and I've been to a couple others in between and never again will I make that mistake, I'm only going to Santo from now on because I always leave SO happy with my haircut. I'm sure all the hairstylists here are amazing but I've always gone to Milana and she's a literal magician besides also being a sweet soul. Not only do I absolutely love my hair whenever she's done cutting and styling it, but I also enjoy the process. Milana always checks in with me every step of the way to make sure I'm happy with how my hair is looking as she's cutting it and she adjusts everything according to my wishes with so much patience and expertise. I've been coming here since they opened. I've seen both Mattison and Milana for highlights/root tone/cut. Both stylists are incredibly talented and listen to exactly what you ask of them. I'm blond and really want the natural look while maintaining the brightness. I always leave happy. The grow out always looks so natural with no harsh lines. Highly recommend Santo salon. read more

I booked a cut and color for my mother here when she came to visit. Now listen, my momma is picky. Even worse, we have several high ranking colorist, stylist, and salon owners in our family located in the Bay Area, who regularly do her hair without her having to tell them what to do. She had been complaining for a while that no one had time to do her hair so she box dyed it and cut it herself prior to visiting me. I sent her to Santo as a Mother's Day treat where she was lucky enough to sit with Emma, who listened thoughtfully to her needs and concerns. When I tell you this women NAILED my moms signature look, I can not emphasize enough how happy and thankful we were for her service. She really went above and beyond to make sure my mom was happy with her look. She was amazing. And my mom looked amazing. Can't wait to book an appointment for myself. Highly recommend!
