Bardot is awesome, I called up and not even sure who I spoke to, but amazingly receptive to my needs and really listened to what I was in need of with my hair, I explained my current hair issues (Im 50 thinning hair but wanted blonde again and had an issue with my hair turning brassy and or damaged by treatments...the color just had not been right for a while so I went about 6 months without highlights and was READY ) I was scheduled with Lila and I knew in a moment that this was my lucky day! Sweet, kind, fun, and an excellent colorist. Attentive to my needs, conservative in using color and honestly super accommodating to all my stories about my hair and my (what I feel like is) high maintenance requests! Im beyond stoked with my beautiful blonde highlights....just enough and never went through the ORANGE Brassy stage (like I had been experiencing)! My hair feels healthier than ever, and I cant wait to come back for a root blend (maybe she calls it something else...but she really knew what my hair needed then and in the future). My daughter is going in this weekend (if she can get in) and I felt great saying any of the stylists there are amazing if you cant get in Lila as when I was at Bardot (another thing I loved) was how highly Lila spoke about all the stylists and their skills, good vibes, and in general attentive and accommodating customer service. I appreciated that on top of the whole awesome experience, as you can really feel that when you are there. I am a bit late posting this as it has been about 4 weeks, super skeptical of tape ins as I had them years ago... however Marlo explained to me what to expect and was very patient as I decided . My hair was a disaster with past extensions and lack of color, left feeling awesome! Price was to be expected and what was quoted was what I paid. She was conscious of my time and kept me informed. Salon was clean, great energy and everyone seems friendly and welcoming. Making an appointment was easy, I called was left on hold so I called back after a few minutes, when I called the day of same thing happened, I understand they are busy and when I called back a few minutes later they were on it. Wish I could book online rather than request but they seem to be quick to respond, let's just say I like instant gratification.... hence extensions! read more

Asuka was my hair dresser! She is relatively new... But she's amazing and a sweetheart. My hair was super long and I was scared to cut it, let alone too short but Asuka cut it perfect! It was at a perfect medium long length. After the cut she blew out my hair and made me feel like a million bucks! I walked out feeling like a superstar. She's the person you want to do your hair! She has lots of experience and also specializes in up-do's. She also did my prom hair and added live orchids that I brought.. Didn't know what kind of hairstyle I wanted but she nailed it!!!Definitely recommend her. I don't even trust anyone else with my hair anymore after my experience with her..... "Your hair looks FANTASTIC!" is all I hear after my hair appointments at Bardot. I go to see Lisa every 6-8 weeks and I have been going to see her since before she opened up BARDOT. She is an artist with the scissors. Sometimes I like the same cut and color, however, most times I want to try something new; I have either seen a picture in a magazine or watched a video on YouTube. During my last appointment I had brought along a snipped of my baby hair and asked if she thought the color might work as a highlight (spoiler alert - it did!). I love this place! Everyone is very welcoming as you enter the salon. My hair stylist Asuka did an amazing job on my hair. I originally wanted a really light blonde ombré. She recommended I don't go too light on my hair since it may damage really badly. She really cared about my hair and made sure I was okay with the length she was cutting and how far my ombré went. My hair is really dark so going blonde on the tips would have damaged my hair very badly. I felt like such a princess being there. They offer you something to drink, there's plenty of magazines to keep you entertained as you wait for your hair to do its magic, and the bathroom is so cute and clean! I especially like the robe things they're so nice not those turtle neck looking ones lol. The last step was blowing out my hair! Never had mine blown out but I quickly fell in love with it. I've been going to Bardot Salon in Manhattan Beach for a few years now. I've changed hair colors a few times, including blonde and dark chocolate brown. The hair cuts I've received by Heidi and Asuka are amazing - these two have done wonders for my hair. They listen to my requests and are honest about whether a cut or style will work or not with my face shape. I have been going to Bardot since they opened and have had my hair cut and colored by both Lisa and Karen. I have a moderate amount of gray in brown hair, but I don't want to cover it up, i just want to add a little blond. I get compliments on my hair color ALL THE TIME! The most astonishing was one day after I had just worked out, my hair in a clip on top of my head, having not been washed in a few days, a woman asked me who did my hair. I think both of these women are incredibly talented and do great work. I have never had to wait, I am always greeted with enthusiasm, and even though I can go six months without seeing them, they remember the details of my life. I happened to stumble into the lap of Lisa R. one day when I first moved to the Manhattan Beach area and I have to say that I was immediately hooked and have been seeing her for several years now. She never disappoints. She always makes me feel and look gorgeous even on my worst day. She is attentive, always listens to what I have to say. I value her opinion when it comes to hair. She is the sweetest person in the whole wide world and she always makes time to squeeze me in whenever she can. First time customer...First off Google maps sent me all over Manhattan Beach. I'd suggest calling the shop if your not a local. Secondly, parking is non existent...I wound up parking in the public parking structure by The Kettle and walked one block keep in mind it's two hour parking almost all over the city. Now the shop, was greeted quickly receptionist was very sweet and offered something to drink right away. I had my hair cut (short) and colored (color correction plus a few highlights) was $210 not including tip FYI you must bring cash or a check to tip...Kind of a hassle if u ask me but oh well. Sydney was my stylist I'll give her a 7 outta 10 for the cut and color really wasn't what I wanted but I do look better than when I walked in. Shes very personable read more

But the professionals at Bardot made me feel comfortable and welcome the moment I walked in the door. I knew I was looking for a change in style but didn't know what I wanted. I have been going to see Melissa for a couple years and she is good hair dresser for the most part, however, on a couple occasions I have gotten home and noticed hair longer in some areas and had to go back to the salon to get her to fix it. Also, for a party the salon recommended Asuku for up do's. In the 30 years I have been highlighting my hair, I have never had such a poor experience with a hair salon. Worse than the color was the fact that the owner, Lisa proceeded to repeat my dissatisfaction to my ex-husband and based on what he told me, her comments were not flattering. Melissa was recommended to me by a friend - and boy was it the best recommendation I got. I have been going gray since I was 21; and had been coloring my hair various shades of red. At this point, I wanted to lighten it up and not be chained to a stylist's chair every 3-4 weeks to avoid that gray streak at my part. Melissa consulted with me, and she chose a beautiful light blonde to highlight my now white gray/blonde hair (please note, I had stopped coloring my hair for 6 months to see what color my hair really was - a scary but worthwhile stunt). The highlights blended the white hair around my face with the gray blond at the back of my head. Friends who hadn't seen me in a while were amazed at and a little jealous of the new "platinum blond" me! I now need to visit Melissa only once every 2 months and every time I have visited the color is consistently beautiful, my ends are no longer crunchy and I am finally happy with my hair! I am very particular about my haircuts and she always knows what I like. The best hair stylist I ever had! I hope to go back to her soon. I've been seeing Lisa for 5 years and leave the salon every time ecstatic. When I came to her, my hair was fried and a total mess, but I was desperately trying to grow it out. A friend of mine recommended Bardot Salon to me. I live up in Beverly Hills and the prices to get your hair done are insane and at times, I am not sure they do such a good job. I saw Jaime for highlights and she was incredible!!! I am pretty particular about how I like my hair done and am that girl who brings in tons of pictures of what I want. Jaime nailed it! I live in NYC now and I, still, only get my hair styled at Bardot. Every few months, when I'm back in CA, I call Asuka. She's cute, friendly, and knows what she's doing.
