The first two pictures are what my hair was right before. The rest are what I walked away with today. I'm so upset. I did love Byron and I would go back to him for a bang trim but my hair wont recover from this for a very long time and I'm getting married in less than a year. I really hoped I was just thrown off since he blow dried my hair straight and I usually wear it wavy/curly but that wasn't the case. I asked for a shag cut and got a bowl cut on top of my longest layer, along with very uneven bangs.

To her credit, she was able to arrange for another stylist, Erik to take the appointment so I would not have to reschedule. She even booked the replacement appointment on my behalf. Before the appointment, I specifically asked Rachel to have the new stylist honor the price she had quoted me. She assured me that she would pass along that information to the new stylist. When it came time to pay, I was shocked to learn that Erik charged approximately 40% more than the original quoted price. At no point before or during the appointment was I informed that his pricing was different, despite my explicit request that the original quote be honored. Had I been told upfront about the higher price, I could have made an informed decision before proceeding. Instead, I only found out after the service was completed and payment was due. The lack of transparency regarding pricing left me feeling misled and frustrated. I understand that different stylists may have different rates, but clear communication about pricing changes is essential, especially when an appointment is reassigned by the salon at the last minute. Unfortunately, this experience left a negative impression.

Location: Salon is located near the Bay Club, the location is beautiful and plenty to do afterwards, but not worth it when you leave the salon with results that you clearly advised you did not want to see. Parking: Metered parking, somewhat tight due to gym; however, the salon does provide you a pass. Front desk person: Woman that answers the phone provides the recommendation on who to see based on the description that you give her; altough I'm not sure she is the right person so make those determinations. Color: Failed results at all times, kept saying that it's a process, yet she never invested in achieving the color as we discussed. I felt low and disregarded every single time I left the salon. I paid over $1000 to not obtain the results in each session. When I shared my concerns with her and advised that the incorrect color was used, she became distant, ghosted me on text and was not honest about when she was in the office. I called the salon and the woman at the front told me she was there. I feel cheated and hurt. There is no salon manager, no one that cares or that you can speak to about your concerns. Payments are done directly to the stylist.

I texted Edgar a wish pic and it looks nothing like it. I do not recommend him. He offered his next cut free and I won't go back

I adore Salon del Mar! It's peaceful and relaxing rather than pretentious and sterile. The stress of the day melts away instantly each time I walk up the steps and look out at the ocean from the balcony. Eleanor has been my hair stylist for 14 years and I can't recommend her more highly! She has expertly guided me through a number of styles, from fairly long to a short pixie cut and everything in between, which is no small feat given that my hair is VERY curly. She has never rushed through my appointment, taking the time to do the best possible job, even when my hair was really short. Her handiwork grows out so nicely between cuts that I never feel I am unable to manage styling it on my own. She's highly skilled at Keratin straightening and Great Lengths hair extensions, too. Just moved to the area and my friend told me about this salon so decided to make an appointment with Van for highlight and haircut- Van talks alot about all the places and countries he travel to and i just try to be nce and listen to him braggin for about 45 minutes- After color- i noticed my hair was super blond without any dimenson of the highlight that i wanted so he started to cut my hair- i was in shock when h just keep slicing and texturing my fine hair- Now my hair look super thin around my face. I've been a client of Brittany's for many years. She is amazing. Not only is she talented but she seems to always know what I want and need for my particular hair type. I'm a challenge...I have no color pigment left in my hair, fine and thinning and yet I get so many compliments! No matter what color, no matter what style she is the best. Luv it!! Its this great little hidden treasure in Hermosa Beach. You can have a glass of wine while getting your hair done!! Whats better than that? Having a beautiful ocean view and the best stylist ever, Rikki!!! She knows her stuff and I aways leave loving it!!! She does the best color, haircuts, and updo's anywhere. I use to travel to West Hollywood and Beverly Hills to get my hair done by what I thought was the best in the industry. I am originally from Northern California, and for years after moving to Hermosa I would head back up to San Carlos to have my hair done by my trusty stylist. THANKFULLY I found Eleanor and have been having fantastic results ever since. Roth Salon is located in the heart of Manhattan Beach and the salon has such a cool vibe. I love the house feel with the patio and open space. When you walk in, there is tons of natural light and all doors and windows are open so it's nice and breezy. The setup is nice too and super clean and organized. Anastasia is so great with my girls. She's super sweet and very friendly and personable. Easy to talk to. She wore a mask the entire time and was incredibly professional. We were here for a long period of time 10am-1pm and the patio was perfect for the kids to sit outside and do their school work while we waited around for their Nana to finish. The space was nice and we honestly didn't mind hanging out here. Made the day go by quickly. Since Anastasia was also a hustler, she was able to squeeze me in for a quick trim and even had time to curl my hair. Man, so good!!! So, if you're looking for a hairstylist...I would highly recommend Anastasia. She's so great and I loved her whole energy. It was so nice talking with her all day about kids, work, life and such.
