My hair was layered wrong by my hairdresser and I couldn't do anything with the hairstyle. I googled a good hair salon to get this fixed and was happy to find Salon Barberet. Lindsey worked magic with my layers and I feel great about my hair again! Thank you Lindsey, will return for future trims! read more

**Extremely Disappointed With My Hair Color** I had my hair done by Lindsay. I was very clear about what I wanted: a **base break to lighten my roots** and blend them with the rest of my hair. Instead, Lindsay applied a dye/color that did not achieve what I had asked for. My roots were essentially left the same, and the result was not what we discussed. I trusted her with my hair and was expecting a professional result, but I left feeling extremely disappointed. The whole reason I booked the appointment was to have my roots lightened and blended, and that simply did not happen. What is especially frustrating is that I was clear about my desired result beforehand. If a base break wasn't going to achieve what I wanted, I would have expected that to be explained to me before proceeding with the service. I would not have agreed to pay for a service that didn't accomplish what I specifically requested. Unfortunately, my hair was left looking essentially the same at the roots, and now I have to spend additional time and money having another stylist correct it. I would strongly recommend making sure you are completely clear on what product and technique will be used before allowing them to proceed. I am extremely disappointed with the result and will not be returning to Lindsay. read more

I came in for a color correction and walked out with hair that looks better than I imagined. The salon is small, super cute, and everyone is friendly, which makes the whole experience easy and comfortable. Lindsey is a kind soul and has truly mastered her craft. You can give her scattered ideas and she'll connect the dots, taking a total mess and turning it into something gorgeous. She explained what she was doing and why, and made me feel taken care of the entire time. Shoutout to her assistant, Mackenzie. She kept everything moving smoothly, gave me the best head massage, and her blowout was chef's kiss. The absolute worst experience ever! I've booked my appointment and stated that it can be with everyone and paid for I got the confirmation email etc. all of a sudden they call and say we can't see you at the hour you booked (3:00), they said that the stylist I booked it can't see me at the time I booked. I kept telling her that I didn't book anyone specifically. She said that regardless they want let me come at 3:00. I tried to accommodate with them and tell them that I can do it too, but they said sorry we can't accept you today. They did suggest come for while I've been keep telling them that at four. I absolutely adore Aileen!! I moved to the East Coast, but every time I'm in LA, I NEED to make a trip to see her (even to the point where I ask to be on a priority list if she needs to reschedule lol)! Finding the right hairstylist is always one of the most difficult life issues to handle. Look no farther, Salon Barberet is the place to go. All the stylists are excellent. Have been going to Salon Barbaret for over a year and a half and love it there. Jaclyn is an expert when it comes to full color and highlights. My hair is always beautiful when I walk out the door. Have been coming here for literal years and honestly not sure why -- I'll drive all the way down from LA for my appointment only for them to cancel on me 15 minutes prior for another client. The stylist at the salon are wonderful, the esthetic great and we have always gotten a great haircut. The problem is that the last three scheduled haircuts, they have canceled on us last minute or changed the time. Today, the complete left me hanging before a night out to where I cannot reschedule in time for a big event. As we only visit every three months for a solid haircut, I can only imagine this is because we are not "regular" clients- but it has made this salon less impressive and will lead me to find a new salon. Either way, this has made me feel like our service is not of importance to them - calling me to cancel 20 minutes before the appointment. Sometimes I can be flexible - but this was scheduled in advance for an important event. Bummed and won't be back. read more

I got a hair cut from Ms. Aileen, and she listened intently and my hair turned out great ! Ms. Kat washed my hair and it felt so good. I have thicker hair and sometimes when I get it washed they don't get the back of my head very well. But Ms. Kat did a great job. They took care of me and I will continue visiting this salon. Thank you! read more

I've been a loyal customer of Salon Barberet's for the past 12 years. I first came in with horrible breakage (no joke the first layer of my hair had broken off and looked like bangs). My long hair had been destroyed by a stylist at another salon. I came in so depressed about it and Aileen came to my rescue. She nursed my hair back to health . I was super bummed when my schedule was no longer compatible with hers, but she said I would be in good hands with anyone at the salon, so I started seeing Jaclyn. Aileen was right, I was in excellent hands. Jaclyn is such a great listener and has valuable input from years of experience. She is all about helping you achieve your hair goals and will advise you on the best way to achieve them. After being so nervous from past bad experiences, I'm so glad I found this salon and these lovely ladies. I highly recommend! read more

Extremely Disappointed. One of the owners was cutting my hair and she walked out in the middle of the cut and left the salon. I sat there forever thinking she'd gone to grab something. No one told me anything, even though they knew she had left the property. They just let me sit there. I finally asked where she was because I had a very important appointment I needed to get to and they offered no help. They wanted me to just sit down and wait an infinite amount longer. It was such chaos and I was so upset. The haircut was nothing impressive and they still charged me full price. I WILL NEVER RETURN. read more

I love this salon! Amber is my girl and she always gets what I'm looking for even when I don't understand how to tell her what I want. I've been seeing Amber for a while now and her services/quality are immaculately consistent. The vibe of the salon is amazing. Everyone here is so nice and helpful. Whenever I come in the staff is so friendly and kind. Cannot recommend Salon Barberet or any of their staff members enough! Thanks for always being awesome! read more

I am not a review kind of gal unless it is WELL deserved, and this one is. I will keep this short and sweet, like my hair ;). Sorry, I couldn't resist. A little over a year ago, I decided to bleach my hair and damaged it so severely that it was gummy and fried beyond repair. I finally decided to find a salon that could help me. I stumbled on this salon, Salon Barberet, and SO happy I did. I was nervous, excited, and embarrassed and the ladies at the salon made me feel so welcomed and cared for. Jacklyn, thank you for your advice, honesty, and patience with me and for working your magic on my fried mop hahha. I can't wait to go back. read more

Still obsessed with this salon. I've been with Jaclyn for almost 20 years. She's amazing with color, cuts, products, and all things hair. Jaclyn and her team keep my blonde exactly the way I want it and continue to maintain its health through recommending the best treatments. Jaclyn's assistant Allysen is awesome too - so nice and is great with my hair. Love the massages in the bowl. The vibes are also always great - come relax or hang out and have some wine. All the stylists here are the best - Aileen, Lindsay, Camryn, Chelsea, and Amber. And they carry Kerastase and other great hair products. Make an appointment in advance. Cameron Perez cut my hair yesterday at 4 and I absolutely adore it!!! It had been 6+ months since I had my hair cut, and the brush, heat, and environmental damage to my hair made it unmanageable and a total pain! She cut off 5 inches, extra taking care to not only trim my tangled prone knots, but also to ensure I liked the style and weight of my overall hair. I felt very pampered and taken care of! Not to mention the scalp massage when getting my hair shampooed was pure heaven! Can't wait to go back! Highly recommend. Salon is fantastic with covid guidelines. Plexiglass between stations, leaving door open for ventilation, masks, taking temperature at the door, disinfecting like crazy, and hand sanitizer located throughout salon. I felt very safe and confident they are doing well everything they can. read more

I got a balayage from Ariel back in April. She is the best. During consultation I was really worried because as much as I wanted to add color to my hair I was worried about the damage since I have never bleached my hair.Ariel took her time so explain all the methods we can use with the least amount of damage. She recommended balayage, even though it has bleach its not as damaging. She even helped me pick a color which will fade in a natural pattern without looking all blotchy. Next week I showed her a picture of the hair I wanted and she knew right away what to do. She is so sweet, gentle and she never pressures you to get a haircut or buy any products while your in the salon for something else. She lets you relax during the process, dosent talk to you the entire time when your trying to relax ( which I love). Her price is reasonable and the location is so beautiful. Ariel is the only one I will trust with colouring in my hair :) read more

I got lucky enough to get a last-minute appointment with Jaclyn yesterday. I havent ever done much with my hair and have been trouble trying to find the right cut. Jaclyn was so sweet and had a real understanding of what I was going for although I had trouble describing it myself. I genuinely was nervous to go into a real salon and try to figure out what is going to be best for me and I left feeling so confident, excited and heard! I love my hair so much more now and I really needed this. Thank you so much Jaclyn for the amazing cut, great service and much needed confidence boost! read more

I wasn't going to write a review, but I'm going to jump on the "anyone but Jacklyn" train that I see in many other reviews. I wish I would have seen these before making my appointment. I used to see Shay, but she left the salon. I called for an appointment and they booked me with the salon owner, Jacklyn. My first experience with her was the same as the other posters: she was working on three people at the same time, had a somewhat grumpy personality (which I attributed to her just being busy), and charged me an outrageous amount for a cut, color, and highlights. Like, more than my engagement ring cost. I called her a few days later and asked if she could add more toner since some of the highlights looked more grey than blond, and she told me to wash it three times over a week and call her back. Well, I didn't have a week due to a business meeting so I bought a box of L'oreal and did it myself. Fast forward five months and I went back for a cut. She said, "What are we doing today" and I said, "Just a trim. No more than 1/2" and showed her with my fingers. She then said, "I haven't seen you for a while" to which I replied, "I've been growing my hair out, especially the layers in back. I want it long for summer. Oh, and don't touch my bangs - they are perfect right now." Again, she was working on two other customers at the same time. Her brusque attitude really turned me off and she clearly didn't want to spend time confirming what I wanted the end result to be. I didn't really panic when I saw the longer pieces on the floor as I did ask her to thin the under layers in back, but couldn't tell what she was doing since she turned me away from the mirror and silently did her work. At no point did she check in with me before making her cuts. I found that unusual. Of course, you know how this ends. She cut about 2" off the front and 3/4" off my bangs. I had no words. While she did spend time on the cut because I have lots of hair, I felt very rushed since she was constantly checking on other clients. Her blond assistant - who was also kind of grumpy - did a lot of the pre-work. Jacklyn literally put me back 6 months of effort in growing out the front, which everyone sees on dates and on Zoom. I went back about a week later to talk to her about it, as I really didn't understand what happened when I thought I had been so clear. All she said was, "I'm sorry you didn't like your cut" and stood there with her arms crossed in front of her. No authentic apology. No offer to try to make things right with me. In fact, she walked away from me when I was in the middle of a sentence. I wasn't angry and did not raise my voice, but simply wanted to be heard. I will never, ever go back there and have told nearly 20 friends about my experience, and asked them to tell their friends. Other stylists there might be OK, but since she's the owner I wouldn't go to them either since she profits from their efforts. read more

Thank you AMBER!!! Went to Salon Barberet a few times to get a balayage. I have thick black hair so I always give the stylist a heads up. My hair always turned out just okay.
