My take is that the components are costly and any part that is battery operated is subject to…read morefailure at random intervals. Some batteries last as long as they are represented to last but many fail within a year or two. Responsiveness for service calls is poor. Technicians arrive without all of the parts needed for the service call requiring a return trip and extra costs. The proposal process is mostly OK but takes a long time. The basic contract is somewhat cumbersome but in the future, if you want to add a piece or two to the system, you have to start the service contract from scratch. My overall assessment is that Deep Valley doesn't care about your time and that it's fine to waste it. I suggest reader spend the time to find another way to meet their security objectives and avoid exorbitant parts and monthly costs.

I was shopping around for Internet providers after I moved about a month ago, dreading having to…read moresettle for expensive and inconsistent Xfinity once again when a friend told me about Further Reach. I'm so glad she did! The service itself has been great so far and the customer service is top-notch. The installer explained everything they were doing while they were doing it and worked efficiently to minimize disruption to my day. These folks really are our neighbors on the coast and care about the quality of their work. I have a remote worker in my household who has had to go work at the cafe in the past due to other companies' outages but who hasn't had to leave the house once since we got Further Reach. In this day and age, it seems rather amazing to find such a technically capable company that also appears to have a genuine concern for it's customers, actually lowering it's prices due to cost savings with no decrease in service at one point. Their commitment to providing fast, reliable service at affordable rates for rural customers is truly commendable !

When he arrived to install it, the ceiling light fixture in my bedroom was way off center (weird, but whatever), so it wasn't looking good for me as far as installing the fan where it would actually cool me from the middle of the room. No problem, Graham figured it out and quickly. I write this now on a hot June night, fan whirling at top speed, and me as cool as a cucumber. Btw, he's got a great attitude as well. Which, as an old school kinda gal, goes a long way in my book.

Walked in just before Christmas and had a super secret plan to install subwoofers and system in my…read moreteen daughter's car without her knowing. Not an easy feat. They recommended a great system kit, and we worked at a cool plan that I'd barrow the car to "get the oil changed" while she was at school. Then I dropped it off after the real oil change. In one day they installed and hid all the wiring necessary, including the amp, boost switch, etc. I had asked them not to hook up the speakers or else she'd know. So instead they temporarily hooked them up, showed me how to do it on Christmas Day, then rebid the wires for me. They put dark tape over the light indicators on the amp so she wouldn't notice something hiding under seat. They tucked the booster under the dash so there wouldn't be any visible buttons. The trunk wires they hid under the trunk carpet by the spare tire! That teenager drove around for a week without any idea she had an entire system hiding in wait for Christmas Day! In Christmas morning we sent her on a treasure hunt that ended at her car and she was brought to tears of excitement! What a great team at DFM! They collaborated, kept the secret, and took extra steps to ensure she didn't notice anything different. They even trained a non-technical mama how to hook up the speakers for a bonus surprise and immediate use on Christmas Day when they'd be closed! Awesome job! Definitely 5 stars! Thank you!

Absolutely terrible experience with Pierson Mechanical. The office staff was extremely rude, and it…read morewas clear the owner has no idea what their technicians are actually doing in the field. They misrepresented what was needed, failed to complete the job, and then claimed they would return to finish it--only to later demand an additional $510. The service was already covered through my home warranty, yet they still tried to charge extra. When the technician initially came out, he arrived with an insufficient amount of refrigerant and said he "ran out" and needed to order more. The next day, the office called not to fix the issue, but to request more money to come back--completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, when I asked basic questions for clarification, the intake representative (who identified herself as the owner's daughter) became defensive and rude, accusing me of "pushing back" when I was simply trying to understand the situation. I ended up getting a second opinion from another HVAC company, and they confirmed the leak was minor, easy to fix, and covered under the same warranty--with no additional charges, including a full refrigerant top-off. This company is dishonest and unprofessional. I strongly recommend avoiding them and always getting a second opinion.
