Got a mani/pedi done today - the two girls who did them did a really great job. They were very thorough and my nails look great. However, this place is disgusting. It is filthy. Dust covered everything. I went to sit in the pedi chair and there was grime and white stuff all over the seat. I asked for a towel to sit on, and didn't want to touch anything. I nearly got up and left but didn't want to be rude. They didn't offer a beverage which I feel like is pretty standard these days. The chair was comfy enough, just really dirty. Because of the cleanliness alone, I will not be back. Which is a bummer because I liked the work they did. Management...clean your establishment, it's not that hard.

I've been to almost every nail salon in Conyers and this is the only place that has pleased me! The service was excellent and I even made an appointment to return! Emma was the lady who assisted me and she is the bomb!! This is the best dip powder set I've had in months!

Soooo lately I haven't been able to get in to my regular nail salon. The nail tech I fell in love with has been BOOKED N BUSY and with me being on such a limited schedule, I just don't have the time. So based on reviews, I've went to my local nail salon aka Studio 138. The first time I went was for a pedicure only which was a great job done. The next time I came back I needed SNS done. Now, me being fearful, I asked for the best of the best. I'm very particular about the thickness of my nails and the shape. I was then given to Emma, who has done my SNS sets the last few times. Emma is wonderful. I rarely have to correct her and she does a great job. Plus she's very well mannered and she knows what she's doing. I've been very pleased with how my nails have looked and I'm not sure if I'm going to go back to my old nail tech at this rate! I've been to other nail salons in Conyers and I truly believe this is the best of the best. Make sure you stop by and check them out!

It is still pretty new so I'd advise calling to book an appointment. It was really busy when I went. Bong Mom and the owner was very professional and knows what they are doing. Everyone here speaks fluent English so you don't have to worry about them not knowing what you're talking about.

Having recently moved to a Conyers with one bad experience with another nail salon, I tried Studio 138 after being referred here. The staff is excellent and the vibe is awesome. My SNS service was exactly the way I wanted as was my pedicure. I also had my brows done (waxed). Upon checking out, my daughter and I booked another appointment two weeks out. After having been loyal to an Atlanta nail salon from the time I moved there until relocating here, I am happy to have found a new salon that I can count on so close to home. I recommend them highly!

This was my first time coming here because my other salon was closed. I was greeted by a receptionist who helped me with the pricing and services. Then I followed her upstairs to meet my nail tech (Tink) Yall... SHE HOOKED IT UP! I got a new set and the nails looked so good I almost didn't want to get the polish on because they looked so beautiful and natural without it. Very clean place and everyone was friendly. Took my two nieces for a girls day out and everyone's nails looked great. Well all got manis and pedis and I got the sns powder on my nails. It's been two weeks and there has been no cracking or chipping. No over filling or over clipping of the cuticles. Great local nail salon read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE this nail salon! I had been going to my old nail salon for 2 years which is almost an hour from my house literally every 2 weeks. I got word that Studio 138 was open and just hadn't made it yet. Well, I finally did along with my daughter who was visiting from Nashville, TN and we couldn't be happier. I had the privilege of Keo doing my nails with the dipping powder and my daughter having hers with gel and both turned out beautifully. The atmosphere is so warm and inviting with a chic modern rustic look. His wife and daughter are also incredibly sweet. I highly recommend this salon and I'm already looking forward to going back again! I found my new nail family and its only 5 minutes from my house!! read more

I took my daughter there today for a beach pedi send off. I had one as well. First, I was able to secure appts within an 1.5 hours of opening. My daughter opted to pay for a full set of nails and an eyebrow was with birthday money.... The work was stellar. I am not a nail/pedi junkie but have had enough to know this place is very professional and clean. The staff was extremely friendly. My technician Touch asked about me and if I was comfortable the entire hour. We chatted back and forth while she did great work. Jade took meticulous care while my daughter's nails were being put on. Taking her time, getting everything done with precision. We walked out very happy with the work that was done over the two hours we were there. We WILL be back. A gem in Conyers for sure! read more

This place is a great place with excellent customer service and great skills but there is a extreme lack of colors if you desire dipping powder. Unfortunately, I did not check what colors they had before starting and was forced to get a pale (almost white) brown when I really wanted a nude pink. If it was not for the lack of colors, I would've given this salon a 5 star rating because I loved the service I received. read more

So... I am still a little floored by the conversation I overheard today during my manicure between two of your nail technicians. I will not use this space to detail the the remarks because frankly, confronting this type of ignorance on a daily basis is exhausting. I will say that if you want to secure the business of darker skinned black women, you should not make openly racist and colorist remarks within earshot. Suffice it to say I will not return to your salon. I cannot spend my money where my beauty is not valued. Ugh.today was supposed to be relaxing. read more

Extremely professional and clean. Very nice! This was our first time. We got three pedicures: 2 classic and one deluxe. I did not feel pressured to pay for any extras as I often do. I told them what we wanted and they did just that. And they did it WONDERFULLY!!!! We will definitely be back!!! read more

First - I scheduled an appointment initially at 12 noon and because of unforeseen circumstances, I had to reschedule twice for a later time. They were so accommodating. Second - It was my first time in their establishment. The design and decor is super cool and has an industrial theme. It is very neat, clean and spacious! Third - My technicians (manicure - Touch; pedicure - Moa) were SUPER awesome! Their work was neat, thorough and beautiful. And in addition to their beautiful work, they were super friendly! Touch ushered me to my seat and started the back massage. Moa was super gentle with my big toe because I had a bruise on the nail from an unfortunate accident on the stairmaster at the gym. Overall, I'm so pleased with my experience! After almost four months of looking for a decent nail salon in Conyers; Studio 138 is exceptional! read more

Love this place...Keo (don't know if I spelled that right) and the whole family is wonderful. They get to know their (regular) customer and have a real laid back professional atmosphere. You will not feel rushed and will get great customer service. The only downfall is that they stay busy, so make an appointment to ensure you will not have a long wait. Truly a welcome addition to the Conyers/Covington area. read more

My preferred tech at nail care spa got moved so i left hoping 138 would be My new nail spot. I had a bumpy start but I'm a fan. The owner did my fill and not only did we engage in active conversation (i hate when the tech refuses to speak) but we had a few laughs and i am beyond thrilled with the job he did. You are always greeted upon entry into the studio. Speaking of the studio, it has a very spa-esque vibe. Calm, not dark but not super bright lights, the music is playing but low enough that you can still have conversation if with friends, read or simply tone it out if it's not your thing. I would suggest making an appt as there are not 40 techs like some salons but the result you get there is well worth the extra step. read more

I've just recently started getting my nails done regularly so I don't have much experience with nail salons but I absolutely love this place. The prices aren't expensive and all of the nail techs I've had are very nice. One time I couldn't choose between two dip powders and my nail tech (Dee) took out two acrylics and showed me what each powder would look like on my nail! Dee also took extra time to make sure that my nail shape was good and that all my nails were the same length which I really appreciated! I'm leaving Conyers soon and I'm going to come back here right before I leave so I can get my nails done one last time. Pro tip: call ahead and make an appointment. read more

I love Studio 138.... Moving up here from New York, I needed a nail salon I could relate to. As soon as I walked in, the salon looked amazing and organized. Reminds me of my home town New York. Get this, they all speak ENGLISH!!!!The nail techs are super nice, sweet and knows exactly what they are doing. They even have ORGANIC PEDICURES AND MANICURES. The chairs you sit in are super comfy and very relaxing. Salon 138 also has suites with a hair stylist that specializes in braiding, natural hair and weaving. I FOUND MY NEW NAIL SALON.. read more

This was my first time patronizing this salon. I was happy with the clean and inviting atmosphere. The ladies that were there were very nice and spoke English well. Needless to say, my nail experience was not that great. The fingernails' color did not match my toes' color. The SNS nails are bumpy and blotchy. I did say anything to the nail tech because after she put the cuticle oil on my cuticles she disappeared. The lady (Moa) who did my pedicure finished her job. However, I was very please with my toes. I am not sure if the nail tech (Jinne) was having a bad day or not as she was on her phone the entire time. Seeing that this was my first experience with them and I loved the atmosphere, I will give the salon another try. I left them a tip anyways- for their friendliness. read more

Told the design change would be $65 but if I were to get a fill in and the same design, there would only be a $10 difference. Make that make sense. See attached for design requested. I already had a French tip set on, and instead of removing the old acrylic, he started filing it down and applying white acrylic over the existing pink acrylic. I stopped him and explained that I wanted a completely fresh set with all the old acrylic removed. He told me it would be an extra $10, and I agreed to pay it. Even after agreeing, he ignored my request and continued applying the new acrylic over the old set. I even explained that the pink acrylic underneath would show through and prevent me from getting the milky white look I wanted, but he completely dismissed what I was saying. I only stayed because it was pouring rain outside and my pedicure had already started. As expected, the pink showed through the white acrylic. I asked him to just use regular white polish instead, but he couldn't even do that properly. To make matters worse, just a few hours later my nail polish started peeling off. Now I have to spend even more money at another salon to get the fresh set I originally asked for. This was a waste of time and money. I will never return and would not recommend this nail salon.

Do NOT select classic nails in gps on Waze - be sure to select location on 138 as it will take you to downtown rockdale county otherwise. The parking is weird but there is ample parking you may have to walk. I'm like a health inspector when coming in and smelling all the chemicals. Their rating already went down to a three rating from that alone! They tried to sell me on getting SNS vs gel to begin with. I went with trying it because I don't mind and I like that it gives you a more natural shaped nail. Helen who was whom I saw. She did a pretty decent job until the end when I asked her to be lighter on the filing because I wanted to keep my length. She pretty much said how do you expect me to file them without me filing them down. I file my own nails and can manage this without filing them down to nubs. Then they proceeded to start talking in their language. A definite N O for me and I will not return. Then she cut my cuticles down really low and left a lot of polish / powder around my nails. Sigh. Gotta just got nails done on time at the regular spots because I am not satisfied and will not be returning.

The lady told my mom to come in on Thursday to finish her nails, which was yesterday. My mom arrived at the nail salon around 5:30 PM to get her nails done and this is what she got. Anyone can see that this is crazy looking and anyone that knows about nails know that this is nothing but crap. When my mom got home I saw her nails and I tried to call them. They did not answer so I called this morning to speak to the owner and the lady that did my mom's nails. At first the lady lied and said that nobody came in around that time. Once I said my mom's name she admitted that it was her. My mom has been there many times so they knew her name. After I was kind of calm, respectful with a good tone, they are still disrespectful and . DO NOT go to this Nail Salon if you are planning on having crappy piece of s*** nails. They are very unprofessional the even when you are speaking them in a professional, respectful manner they attitudes because they are in the wrong. My seven-year-old is a better nail technician than they are.. we will never be coming back, and I will make sure some of their customers that I know will not be returning...

I had not been to a nail salon in literally decades! I had called previous to my visit and happened to speak to Jade. She spent a lot of time going through the kinds of nails that I might like and was very patient. Subsequently, I made an appointment with her, and I couldn't be happier! She made my horrible looking, bitten nails look fantastic! I even have an injury to my thumb nail bed, which is super unattractive. Jade covered that completely. She's the absolute best!!! read more

These girls not only did a great job, but they were knowledgeable and listened. I brought my elderly grandmother who can be particular and they were so patient and gentle with her. Love this place! It's by far the best plus in conyers to get your nails done. I was only charged 30 dollars for my full acrylic set and specific shape. They were done beautifully and quickly. Very friendly. The shop is also super clean. I will for sure continue going here read more

While I waited, I watched white customers who arrived after Black customers get taken back before us. The moment that pushed me over the edge was watching an older Black woman continue to wait while a white customer walked in and was immediately seated for a pedicure. I spoke up because I refuse to stay silent when I see something that I believe is wrong. I even asked the older woman if she noticed what had happened, and she said she hadn't. I told her not to let anyone make her feel like her time and money don't matter. This experience left me feeling like Black customers were treated as less of a priority, and I find that unacceptable. Whether anyone else agrees or not, that's exactly how I experienced it. Black people, our money has value. Stop spending your hard-earned money where you don't feel respected, appreciated, or prioritized. There are plenty of Black-owned and Black-operated nail salons that deserve our support. Keep your dollars in businesses that value you. I will never spend another dollar at Avalon Nails. If this is how loyal Black customers are treated after years of supporting this business, they can keep it. Respect goes both ways, and so does where I choose to spend my money.
