I've been coming here ever since I moved back to Georgia and they do great work there in my opinion whenever I go mostly see Dan or Tina or David they are really good at work. The place is clean giving it a luxury vibe. They don't plan any music in the background and they don't serve wine that I can have with my pedicure, but that's OK because they do also offer hot stone massage for your pedicure for an additional service and it is phenomenal. I am DONE with Avalon Nails. I have spent hundreds of dollars at this salon over the years, but today was my last day. I came in because a nail chipped just days after spending over $100 on my nails. Instead of fixing it promptly, they had me sitting there for hours. While I waited, I watched white customers who arrived after Black customers get taken back before us. The moment that pushed me over the edge was watching an older Black woman continue to wait while a white customer walked in and was immediately seated for a pedicure. I spoke up because I refuse to stay silent when I see something that I believe is wrong. I even asked the older woman if she noticed what had happened, and she said she hadn't. I told her not to let anyone make her feel like her time and money don't matter. This experience left me feeling like Black customers were treated as less of a priority, and I find that unacceptable. Whether anyone else agrees or not, that's exactly how I experienced it. Black people, our money has value. Stop spending your hard-earned money where you don't feel respected, appreciated, or prioritized. There are plenty of Black-owned and Black-operated nail salons that deserve our support. Keep your dollars in businesses that value you. I will never spend another dollar at Avalon Nails. If this is how loyal Black customers are treated after years of supporting this business, they can keep it. Respect goes both ways, and so does where I choose to spend my money. read more

Haven't been to this salon in over a year, but decided to go today. The salon was filthy. Furthermore, high pressure from employees to get gels. An employee actually yelled at a customer who politely declined - fussing at her because her nails would not last more than three weeks if she didn't. Awful vibe. Absolutely won't be returning. read more

wow! Went back for the first time in a while, not sure if they changed owners but it was gross. Old nails between the chairs. Cup holders in the chair were nasty, pillows used for manicure were old and dirty. Will not be back! read more

It's a clean and organized nail salon, and they do nails well. The problem is they are inattentive to customers who are not regulars.

I've never sat in a nail salon chair and CRIED because the skin around my toe nails was being completely rubbed raw by the file leaving me bleeding in some spots. It got to the point I couldn't even put my feet in the water anymore. I was in so much discomfort. On top of that I didn't even get the pedicure I asked for I wanted the "Ocean" and just got the "Classic" which he didn't even massage my legs just rubbed some lotion on and called it a day. Service was horrible. When you come to a spa, you look forward want the spa experience. The nail tech was rude and snickered with other nail techs, although I didn't know what they were saying, she wasn't engaged with me, no eye contact it made me feel very uncomfortable. Based on the hard earned 180 dollars that was spent, my expectations were not met. The quality of my nails and feet were mediocre. The place looks nice but workers are not. Go somewhere else because you won't feel welcomed. read more

I can't praise this salon enough. I went the first week it was open and loved it. I recently tried a new shape and style and loved it IMMENSELY. I have been getting so many compliments. But unfortunately had to alter them. My employer utilize bioreaders (finger prints). So i was kinda bummed thinking I had to cut them off. David shaved down both pointers so they would be symmetrical. Your barely notice they are smaller. When i say he is a dope artist with it....... worth every penny. If your in the fence about going there don't be. It was rainy and I was literally fresh off a 12 hr shift. I was in and out in under 10 minutes. I am so happy they are open later as it helps working folks. They are extremely clean, professional and hygienic. I will definitely be back and recommend it highly. read more
