My nails look worse than they did when I came in! There is no attention to detail at all. I had to prompt corrections several times including cuticle trimming, missed chunks of nail unpolished and major inconsistencies in the curve of the french manicure. The application of SNS is not even on the sides, making it look messy. The tips were glued on crooked, despite my asking to straighten them. Is this worth $75 + tip to you? read more

However they have prices even higher then midtown. My daughter is 7; her nails came to $100. The manicure was good however, only 2 nail techs can draw design by hand so she went with stickers. The stickers were placed wrong and one cut off. The pedicure was non existing in my opinion. I paid $100 for 30 service. My nails were priced better. I LOVED my pedicure. I could've went with more massage but that's only because I love the lady that did mine. She didn't talk much English I believe. She did file away my nail polish a little rough but it could've been me moving. My nail tech was the owner she can free draw design. Personality she is spicy and a little dry. She said something snappy to me as I was speaking to my daughter but other then that the skill was there and quality work and atmosphere. My quest continues in trying to find a Covington mani-pedi that doesn't SUCK!!! This place is no exception. My nails were painted, so they get a star. Prices were affordable, so they get another star. But that's all I'm giving. Here are the problems: 1) Poor polish selection. All options are clumpy and half-used. You can tell this place is cheap, because they try to get every drop out of the bottle. 2) Rushed service. In and out in 20 minutes for mani/pedi. Both done at the same time. I wasn't able to relax. And worse, they didn't wait between coats or let me wash my hands between filing and painting. So there are gross filings under my nails I won't be able to wash off until the polish dries. And the polish won't dry for awhile, seeing as it's super clumpy and uneven. 3) Unfriendly employees. Nuff said. read more

Place is ok. I'm new to the state of GA and looking for a new nail salon after being with the same tech for 10 years. I always pass Kim's, so I went for in for a basic manicure just to check it out. Went in and everyone is wearing masks, which is great! They take temps upon entering. From the door I notice that the place is kinda cluttered in comparison to the salons that I'm used to going to, but it's ok. Tech Nina did an excellent job AND she let me use my own utensils! I did notice that they cleaned pedicure chairs w something like Windex To be fair, I didn't see the label, but it looked like a Windex bottle and liquid was blue. All in all, I'd return for polish changes only. 2 Stars... +1 Extra star bc they let me use my the tools I brought with me. read more

If I could give no stars I would. Experience 1: went in the morning as a walk-in, they were extremely busy so we made an appointment to come back later that day. Came back for an appointment and waited 3 hours before anyone started on our nails. Pedicure was fine but they were clearly rushed, never apologized for the wait and when I asked for water (while waiting) they asked me to pay for it. Experience 2: The experience above was not good but willing to give them another chance- HUGE MISTAKE. Waited over an hour (with an appointment scheduled), the nail tech was extremely rushed. My nails came out lumpy, he put Gel on my nails instead of sns to save time, asked for a design, the design was horrible so I had them take it off. My nails were horrible and not what I asked for so I made an appointment to come back the next day to have the owner (Kim) fix them. When I did she was extremely rude, tried to make me pay another $50 for my nails to be fixed and when I refused she told me I was too picky, impossible to please and didn't re-do my nails. I left and will never be returning. I cannot stress enough how rude they are. If you'd like half ass, rushed nails that you wait hours for- this is the place to go! read more

This is the BEST place to get your nails done ! Great, fast, and efficient service. Oh, BUT DO NOT expect them to fix anything without charging you, it's all lies, even if they tell you that "They always fix anything that's broken to keep their customers happy." It's all lies! Seriously though, all jokes aside, I was shocked by the audacity of the owner by how I was spoken to and I didn't even have a chance to finish what I was saying to her, because she just flat out hung up on me. Well, I'm trying to make it as short as possible, but I thought ALL OF THE PUBLIC should know, so they can at least be "fair warned" about how I was treated and also deserve the right to know how badly they conduct their business. It was so unprofessional and rude of the owner to treat me the way she did over the phone . I'm not trying to sound like a prude but, not only should they take a coarse on manners and how to treat the YOUR OWN customers; the ones who are paying them! They should also be smart enough to know that who is paying them is what helps keeps their business running! One of my nails fell off and they refused to fix it! The lady who did my nails about a week ago, maybe less- give or take, told me "anything that's broken, we fix". She also said "at no charge, we like to keep our customers happy". I called and told them about my nail falling off and I was told they WOULD NOT FIX without charging me, even though it's been a week, if that- possibly less. She added that "WE" as "CUSTOMERS" should know that they charge to fix anything after 3 days!?" She also said, "All places do that". Actually, NOT all of them do that! I've went to many other nail salons in the past and ANYTIME something was broken, smudged, or needed fixing, THEY FIXED my issue without hesitation; even after a few days, a week, or up to a week and a half later. I used to think "Kim's Nail Studio" was the best service I had ever received, ever since I began going in 2014. Let's say, not anymore I'm not! Well, tell me HOW ARE WE, AS PAYING CUSTOMERS supposed to "know" if they DO NOT tell us?! It's THEIR JOB to tell us, as paying customers. I told the lady on the phone, "how are WE supposed to have knowledge of this if THEY ARE NOT DOING "THEIR JOB" by NOT telling us?! I mean really, how? I also told her they DO NOT even have a SIGN up- nothing to let people know ‍. Mind you, the lady who did my nails told me if anything breaks, we fix it at NO CHARGE!? Also, who I just spoke to on the phone was VERY rude and seemed as if she did not want to "hear me out" as I tried to explain, ‍. So, when I go back to have my nails filled in, they will NOT be getting a "tip", as it's going to cover the cost of my nail that fell off! I've ALWAYS been a great "tipper"! Well, not anymore because after my fill in, they just LOST a very LOYAL customer of, 5 years, actually going on 6 years. I will also be going to give the same review on YELP.com, and I will for sure be calling "The Better Business Bureau" on this Establishment. I refuse to be ripped off! I have been going to Kim's for over 10 years and I have always had good service. I don't make an appointment because I never know when I will be able to get my nails done. Even when they're busy I don't have to wait very long. All the techs are good - I can't think of any time I've had a bad manicure or pedicure. I also get brow and lip waxes. Kim is very good mail tech but her workers are not as good. I didn't appreciate the language spoken between her staff and herself during a misunderstanding about the type of acrylic I wanted. It made me feel uncomfortable and I do not know if I will be going again. Beware they ripped me off $20. Took my grandaughter for a full set and myself a pedi just for fun but on tight budget...we both asked for the least expensive of each. The man up front acted like we were weird nor wanting to upgrade but seated us here on 1 side for nails me on other for pedi. My tech asked me several times to upgrade and I declined. I stopped coming here a while ago because Kim's attitude was getting worse & the customer service just wasn't there anymore. Today, while in the area, I stopped to get a nail repair. Kim's husband asked what I needed & I told him a nail repair & I asked him how long & he said he didn't know. Which is nothing new! They've been in business for years & he didn't know anything then & still doesn't know anything now! Other than how to take the money! After about 45 minutes, I asked Kim how long for the repair & that broad asked where did I get my nails done! Does that even matter??? You're still making money for doing the repair! That attitude & question was confirmation of the reason I stopped coming here! Had I not asked her how much longer I don't think she would have said anything! I have been going to Kim for 7+ years. I have had my nails done over 30 years, these folks are very friendly and respectful, don't listen to all these crazy disrespectful reviews. Kim does a great job with my nails, I won't go anywhere else! I don't understand why someone would go and get their nails repaired here when they went somewhere else? Is the other place no any good either?! I see so much disrespect from the customers, mostly the younger generation. Respect works both ways for all you folks complaining. did a terrible job. nails are uneven. paint job is bad. me and 3 of my cousins went in and we waited an hour while others walked in and were seated and taken care of right away. employee's were very rude. not gentle on my sisters hands when she told them she has arthritis. charged me 50$ for a fill and color change. very aggressive while working on my 13 year old cousins nails. I love going to Kim's but I'm getting sick and tired of her being rude to her paying customers. I have been using this nail shop for the past 3+ years and I am strongly considering finding a new nail home. Kim you ARE NOT always right. If someone makes an appointment they should be seen at that time. I called and made an appointment as soon as they opened for a later time and she said that was fine. I waited for 30 minutes because I was early and my nail tech finished a little late. Then she took another customer because she had been waiting. The owner (Kim) and 2 nail techs were disrespectful and dishonest. After being informed that 2 nail techs did not want to do my nails, I expressed concern about them having me mixed up with another customer but it was ignored. They proceeded to report that one of the techs had told me in a previous visit that she would not do my nails anymore, which I have never in all the years that I have been getting my nails done been told that. The other nail tech was dishonest about our conversation and excluded important parts as well as my calm and nice demeanor when I politely let her know that I will wait for my regular nail tech as she informed me she in fact could not do designs despite me being placed with her because she could do them. My preference to wait was based on me not wanting to tip 3 different techs but instead wanting to tip 2 (the tech that did my feet and the tech who would do my nails, design and eye brows) to ensure they received a sizable tip). I have enjoyed services provided by this nail studio (Diamond specifically) but am hurt at the behavior of the owner and the 2 nail techs who expressed that I caused them to feel scared. I pride myself on being kind to people and displayed the same behavior within the shop by complimenting the work of the nail tech as she did my daughters nails prior to her negative behavior. I was confused by her mood by now it makes sense as she feels I was previously rude/disrespectful to her. I explained to the owner my feelings about how I was treated due to the confusion. I also expressed that I have enjoyed their services over the years. I am saddened about having to find another nail shop but am also disappointed about the treatment. When I first walked in I thought it looked a little crowded. However the woman at the front told me it would only be a 5-10 minute wait. It was about 10 minutes and I was seated with Selene. All the ladies were very friendly and helpful. Selene did a wonderful and even job on my acrylics. She was very sweet and knowledgeable! She knew exactly what to suggest when I showed her what I wanted. I got heat changing gel and am very happy with the result. I wish I could give negative stars. My mother in law made an appointment for myself, my mother and she to come in for our SNS and manicure/pedicures before my wedding. She made a point to make sure they knew we wanted to all be together for our services to make it special for us- WEEKS in advance. Once we were there they immediately split us up telling us how they were busy and they needed to do something "FAST". This was fine with me actually. I get it, the place is busy. BUT we made an appointment way in advance and requested something special and they could not provide. On top of that, my mother in law could not get the kind of manicure she requested (something about a color of paint she wasn't allowed to have?). My mother had a nice experience with her woman as did I with the woman who gave me my pedicure. HOWEVER, my manicurist who performed SNS on me was on the phone and taking appointments the whole time while bragging that she had to do the removal of my sns nails because she was so FAST at everything AND tried to sell me on Acrylics because they would look nicer, when I knew what I wanted and didnt want the "quick fix". Well yes, she WAS fast. So fast that the nails were misshaped. So fast that when she was removing my old sns nails she used the filing tool so hard that I BLED. I winced twice and told her it was painful and to not go there again- but she did anyway. I was not bleeding on my my cuticle, but in the middle of my nail. She literally put a hole in the middle of my nail bed and it was very painful. She brushed it off and told me it was fine. I was in pain for three days prior to my wedding because she did this and did not clean it off when I requested she disinfect it. It was horrible. She was distracted, on the phone, and legitimately hurt me. I would not recommend this place ever unless you are getting a basic mani/pedi...even then beware. I hate to put down a business like this, I really do. I know it's not easy to run a nail salon business but this was simply unacceptable. Kims nails- you really need to pay more attention to your customers especially when they are telling you that you are HURTING them. There were at least three nail techs on their headphones chatting while performing manicures that I could see. Definitely go somewhere else for your nail needs. read more

Went there to get a SNS and pedicure and the lady who did my toes was very rude and tried to yell at me bc I chose a non expensive service. She dug into my toe way too much and it was very painful and she kept going despite me telling her to stop. She gave me a toe infection and it kept getting worse. I went back and the owner and the lady refused to take responsibility and tried to blame me. My toe is still getting worse plus my toes were horribly painted on top of that. I went last Sunday.. the young dude (I forget his name) told my daughter how I talk "too much" because I asked him how his day was. Than I got moved and waiting on Kim for 20 minutes.. she started working on my nails and asked where I usually go (which is CT nails of Crowell) and she starting talking shit but not in English.. she proceeded to do my nails, than started arguing with a customer (they wanted to charge the customer for gel after she told them she didn't want it and they still did it) and the customer had no problems paying. Kim than starting talking shit. I got upset and told her if she was going to talk shit than please do it so we can understand them. Every manicure and pedicure I've had here have been great. Everyone is friendly and skilled, it is affordable, and there are a lot of choices for services. Do not ever go to this nail salon. Owner/manager Kim is the rudest person ever and racist. I arrived at 3pm and asked for a pedicure and fill in. She sent me to spa chair #7, and that's where I stayed for an hour. Finally someone did my pedi(older lady very sweet) finished and told me to wait for Kim. Finally at 5pm I walk over to Kim and ask was she doing my nails or who? Meanwhile, a little girl (Caucasian) was doing cartwheels-through the salon and accidentally knocked the polish down shattering it. Her mother (unfazed) sat there as Kim smiled and reassured her it was fine. Not my salon so it doesn't bother me either. The mother then leaves to get her credit card she'd forgotten and promised to return. Kim smiled and reassured her everything was fine. She then asked me to sit it her chair, which I did, and finally starts speaking her rage of the incident in Vietnamese. Jerking my arm, very impatient with my wrist injury but I remained quiet trying to understand her frustration. She was about to begin to fill in my solar set with white (my normal), but I told her I was doing black to match my toes today. She looked at me pissed and said condescendingly "that will be 33 today for you not 26" (mind you that's no problem although we never discussed price to begin with). I asked how much (for the future since I always wear white and would want to go back to it after this) is color change. She responded "You can't ask me nothing , I already told you 33 take it or leave it". Shocked I asked her to repeat herself in which she did! Loudly! How am I treated with insult but the lady before me with kindness while her child destroyed your salon? The reason I say racist is bc this isn't the first time. She skips over Black women and speaks rudely to us while remaining professional, kind, and preferably patient to Caucasian women all the time. Watch it. Needless to say I left and as I was leaving told her I was writing a review and will NEVER RETURN. Angel, Jasmine, and Tina are the best employees in this salon. While Kim, the owner, is one of the rudest people I have ever met. You would think as an owner you would show your loyal, paying customers more respect but she does not.
