I would NOT recommend this salon at all (btw I get my nails done all the time so trust I know when something is worth it).. The hygiene was not okay. The nail files and tools didn't look clean, and it seemed like the file used on me had already been used on someone else. The pedicure was rushed and not done properly. There was barely any scrubbing or real cleaning, and my nails needed way more care than what I got. They also left old acrylic on my toe and put new acrylic over it instead of removing it. They were clearly trying to leave early (around 8:30-8:45) even though they close at 9. One of the techs didn't even want to help, and the person working on me seemed inexperienced. I tipped him because he tried, but the work was still not good at all. Pricing was also an issue. I was told $47 over the phone for a gel pedicure, but once I got there the price changed. I ended up paying $82.62 for a pedicure that came out messy, old looking not fresh just a bad job all around from the young man to the owner coming to ruin the shapes of. The owner also made a comment saying she wanted to go over pricing early "so we wouldn't argue back and forth," which felt unnecessary and honestly racial-profiling. I've been going to Cindy Nails for years. Every single person that I liked has left. The service today is terrible. I've paid over $70 for gel nails and each time the polish was lifting 3 days or less later. When I told them about it they talked about me in their language which they think I don't understand. The only person I like there today is the one who waxes my eyebrows. It's sad that I'm going to have to find a new eyebrow person as I refuse to go back and spend my money for a piss poor job! After 2 and a 1/2 hours I had to leave and she convinced me to come back to do a better job. I've been going to Cindy's Nails for over 20 years. I moved to Clarkston 5 years ago and still make the trip to Conyers to get my nails done regularly. Cindy and the rest of her staff are always friendly and professional. If closing time is 7:00 and someone shows up at 7:01 Cindy will take care of them without question. I so hate to even say this but this was the worst salon I've been to in the area. The older gentleman who did my nails rushed through my fill and polish. The paint is uneven and looks poor. I initially wanted a design but the man wasn't able to do it, so I just asked for white polish and that even turned out bad. He was very nice and apologized several times throughout due to the polish issue. I spent $35 to end up going so where else and getting new polish. Let me start by saying .... If you have other options go elsewhere !! Everything was so rush rush I received a standard pedi and Gel Polish change on my hands .... The Pedicure was OKAY ..... They have different options but I chose the Standard Pedicure because I just felt uncomfortably rushed and it's not as if they were busy or closing. To top it off after every service or item I inquired about I was updated on my total as if I couldn't afford my services, so before anything else annoyed me THAT blew my whole experience. I don't need you to tell me how much I owe after every nail you polish of mine SHEESH ! They have a limited selection of Gel colors ...... Do not use safe practices. I did a first time walk in. I noticed right away they weren't following Ga State Board policies, when it came to the pedicure I was asking for. The colour selection is extensive. The massage pedi chairs are newer models. There are a variety of mani/pedis that offer a lot of different services at great prices and the service is very thorough. Everyone is pleasant and enthusiastic. I have (had) large square big toenails for which I always request a short trim. I got busy reading and when I looked up I had nubbins. The tech had ignored aesthetics and trimmed the nails to their absolute shortest. I have made the same request for decades without getting nubbins. I felt responsible for not keeping watch and, in the most technical sense, it was what I asked for. Why I wasn't asked if I would like my nails trimmed until my toes looked hideously deformed I do not know. The tech was such a sweetheart and the damage was already done I had no idea what to say. I was shocked. Regardless, I paid tipped, and left. I have now showed my pedicure to friends and strangers alike who all say the same thing-get a lawyer. read more

I don't normally write reviews, but I ended up making a whole Yelp account for this. And if given the chance I would have given less then 1 star. First off, I don't think I'll ever be going here again. The only reason I ever did was because I needed my nails redone that day (I had a trip with my boyfriend before he goes back to college) and a family member gave me a gift brochure for this salon. Here were my issues: * Long wait ( I got there about 2 1/2 hours before closing, waited 30 minutes even though there were maybe 2 other people there? And they had at least 3 available employees?) Not the biggest issue, but still a little frustrating. * Rude and unqualified nail tech. I can't tell if maybe she was having a bad day (hey, it happens to all of us but maybe don't take it out on the customer?) or not, but she was rude, kept making annoyed faces at me, kept trying to rush me, wouldn't stay off her phone, and hurt fingers/nails A LOT. She filed way to much and way to hard at my nails (and occasionally skin) to the point where it cut me/and hurt quite a bit (to which she'd just snatch my hands back when I'd jerk away a little.) Continuously told me I was wasting my time/her time when I asked if she could please just redo the acrylic nails instead of filling them in (I had waited too long between sessions and they were way past the point of repair. Any good nail tech, or even mediocre, would have been able to see this.) She also seemed unsure of how to properly removed the nails without hurting the client; my hands were soaked in bag of acetone in hot water, it hurt but she told me it was fine? The last times I've had acrylics removed they put each nail in individual, tinfoil with acetone soaked cotton balls. Maybe I'm just not used to this? But it hurt, made it difficult to breath, and left my hands really white and dry. On top of this, the filling and cutting my nails was extremely rough. I honestly should have just paid for the removal and left. * Nails were terrible. My acrylic nails not only hurt incredibly even days after I had them done, but they looked pretty awful as well. The shapes were uneven (some were very thin points and others were thick, some longer then others, etc), the acrylic was extremely thick (I know you're supposed to work your way up with it, but she kept putting on large blob after blob of acrylic mixture (?) and it just came out lumpy and thick. After this, I picked out a nice pale pink. She didn't wait much at all between coats and just painted on two thick, uneven coats (the sides of my nails weren't covered well, neither were some of the tips, and she kept getting it on my skin even though my hands were still and held firmly in hers.) It just looked really bad. I don't remember if she put on a top coat or not and she couldn't do designs so I guess keep that in mind. * Price was expensive. $40+ plus tip for this mediocre (at best) nail job and removal. Maybe if the place was cleaner, the nail tech was nicer, and the job was done right I would be fine with this price or even it being a bit more, but for what you get? Not worth it. All in all this place isn't worth it. Wait times are inconsistent, the nail tech's are inexperienced, some of the workers are rude, it's too expensive for the quality, and my nails still hurt and looked terrible. Will not be returning. I wish them the best and I hope for their sake that they improve on a lot of these issues and more, the owner seems like a nice enough lady. Until then, try to avoid going here if you can, there are MUCH better and even cheaper options that'll give you better quality nails and service. read more

So, here's the thing... As previously reviewed, I'm picky about my nails, call it my anal attention to detail, but I know what I want, how I like, and usually where to find it. My previous nail salon did me dirty, especially when every tiny request I made was either met with the stare-o-death or attitude. Cindy's is close to the Honda Dealership, and tucked away in a little strip mall. Everyone is super fantastically nice, I headed in one after noon for a fill and a brow wax. I was greeted by a mini sized Asian woman who showed me to her waxing table and ripped my eye brow hairs out. She did a fantastic job, I was able to tell her that I like to keep my brows somewhat full, and that I prefer an angular shape over more rounded. Get this, she actually listened to me, what a concept. Next was nails, my tech was male, and he was gentle, and quick, while shaping my nails(I prefer oval), he kept checking in to see if the shape was to my liking, what, no argument, no evil looks? I love this place. Quite a few times while have my nails done, or my brows waxed someone would walk over, touch my arm and ask me abut my tattoos, which I don't mind at all, everyone at Cindy's is inviting and talented. read more

I have been going to this nail salon off and on for YEARS. Currently I've been going every two weeks for three years and having Cindy do my SNS nails and my eyebrows. Let me just say... I was a nervous nail biter. It's awful, I know. However, Cindy recommended that I try the SNS method after (lovingly) teasing me about having no nails. Needless to say, in a relatively short amount of time... I! Had! Nails! Strong, healthy, long nails. Something I have never had before. Cindy always does a fantastic job on me.
