The service was fast and friendly, the food was made with that "southern love", the owner was a super nice guy (he's apparently the town mayor too). I came here with my family recently, and it was the first time I'd been here. There isn't much in Stuart, and Stuart Family Restaurant is always busy. The interior is about what you'd expect. It's busy, semi-cluttered, well used, and seemed clean enough. We had four people at the table. I had a mushroom swiss burger, which was pretty good - with a side of onion rings. My wife had popcorn shrimp and onion rings and there was another popcorn shrimp and fries and a wrap of some kind. The popcorn shrimp was alright, nothing special. Could have been fried for another minute. The onion rings tasted like they hadn't changed the oil in a while. The fries were alright and the hush puppies were pretty bland. Had a good dining experience here today with me and my two young daughters! Food was delicious, as always. Service was slower BUT our waitress was working so hard as it was a busy day with a festival in town. She did such an amazing job as the orders were accurate and she checked on us even with too many tables under her care. I ordered the crust chicken sandwich and dang it was GOOD! I don't know if they fry it in dill pickle juice breaded mixture or what but I would choose it over Chickfila any day. But we were in the drive through and a woman seen a dog pop out of the car infront of us and was digging her hands all up in the dogs fur didn't even wash her hands like gurl what! but the service is ok though and hospitable. Exactly what you expect from the outside. They were mopping the floors and stacking chairs on tables around us at 7:45pm, which felt weird.

Food good but is too greasy for me, typical country cooking. Fried chicken and chicken fried steak.

My Mom and I went to have supper at this restaurant. Due to her health, she requested that they fix her a particular meal that would not cause any physical distress. Although they have the capability of doing as she, the customer asked, they absolutely refused. Absolutely ridiculous. We walked in and every table was dirty. Before our table even got cleaned off a family that had walked in 15 minutes after us already had their menus! The waitresses excuse was that we sat in the wrong section and would just have to wait. I don't know how they've gotten the reviews they have but they've lost our business and the business of the friends who were joining us. What happened to this place? The place was packed. Just far too many people in the restaurant and waitresses wearing their mask improperly. This has happened too many times at this place. Got up and walked out did not stay to eat. Not going to eat there when it is that crowded. Most uncomfortable and will not be going back till this Chinese Virus has passed because each time we have been there the place is packed, waitresses wearing masks improperly and has too many screaming kids being dragged through the place. I will just stay home if this is their best or drive to another town where they can follow health codes. Too bad because this is the only game in town. Stopped here with a party of 20 after a 2.5 HR wait at Mabry Mill. Best thing that happened to us! Everyone was happy! Food came out very quickly for so many of us. Waitress did have a lot to do so drinks got low but she managed to bring more as quickly as she could. Chicken liver special was delicious. Popcorn shrimp got rave reviews. Gyro meat was delicious but gyro altogether was rather bland. Not bad but would not order again. Marinated grilled chicken was enjoyed as was the hamburger steak. Great crunchy fries too! read more

This was a favorite for years. But, I stopped at the drive thru window today. The lady working there was on a cellphone and walked away as soon as I pulled up. Mom got a gyro, and she said it was okay. Dad got the chicken souvlaki and he said it was fine. I tried it, and it definitely lacked a strong Greek seasoning flavor. If you come in town this is where you must eat!! Country diner with huge menu and selection. Plenty of place to sit and I believe they even had a drive thru!!! Clean and open kitchen!! I am highly disappointed that you will not be having meatloaf anymore. You need to make sure to update your online menu to reflect any changes. The first thing I noticed was the table and booths were spread out nicely to give you privacy with your conversations. The second thing was the cleanliness. Ashly, our waitress was fantastic. She was pleasant and after our meals were served she came back every once in a while to see if we needed anything else. The portions were twice the size I would have expected for the low price I paid !! This place is about a half hour ride from my house but was well worth the ride.
