The food was pretty good but for the price of the subs I wish they were a little bit bigger. The ciabatta bread was soft and fresh; but it wasn't big enough for the meat portion and you were left with a lot of saucy bread at the end. For the price I wish they gave you an additional cutlet on the sandwich. I really enjoyed the flavor of the sauce. Definitely a place to try again, but I do wish they gave you more in terms of portion size.

I moved to Texas in '82 and only got back to Rochester a few years ago. I didn't realize Nino's was still in business till just recently. I stopped in there tonight and ordered an extra large Sicilian pie. Nino's son Jimmy is running it now. The place is a liite different inside but the pizza is as good as I remember...that marinara sauce is still the same, flavorful and slightly sweet, loaded with mozzarella and a very generous amount of fresh toppings, all at a very reasonable price. I've traveled the world since I've been gone, even to Italy, and I don't remember pizza better than this. I'm glad they are still around. If you're looking for a great Sicilian pie, look no farther then Nino's... Molto bene!

Top tier pizza for a reasonable price…read more Appetizers and drinks came out quickly, but the pizzas took a bit longer. Our server was very attentive and offered great seasonal recommendations. *Squash Salad: a seasonal dish that perfectly captured the feeling of autumn, served in a hot cast iron skillet. The squash was sweet, garlicky, and buttery, topped with smoky breadcrumbs. The blistered tomatoes paired well with the balsamic glaze, adding sweetness and juiciness to each bite. *La Pina Loca: perfect mix of salty, sweet, and spicy. The pork was rendered beautifully, creating a savory oil that blended well with the pineapple. The jalapenos added mild heat, and the hot honey was subtle. The crust was thin with a good char on the bottom. If I lived closer, I would come here all the time. It is unfortunate that the squash salad is only a seasonal item because my group kept talking about how much we craved it afterward. The beverage menu was a bit limited, so I hope to see more beers on tap or additional mixed drinks in the future.

BUT I specifically ordered the pizza without hot honey, and it was also supposed to have pineapple on it. When I got home , I realized the pineapple was missing and the pizza had hot honey on it anyway. I immediately called THREE times to try to get it sorted out. Every single time, I got an automated message saying they were going to transfer me to someone, and then... no one ever answered. ‍ That's incredibly frustrating, especially when you're calling right after you discover there's a problem with your order. The pizza itself was seriously delicious, but the customer service was disappointing. I really hope they improve their phone service because I'd actually like to order from here again!

The pizza is pricey and small compared to their competitors. Ventured back after seeing a questionable Tik Tok video. I was curious if things had gone down hill or were not as great as the last time, but I can only say positive things. For a feeding a family this is not the most economical option or best, but for the occasional special treat it works. Knocking off a star for the price. Also they charge $1.50 for blue cheese.

We were quoted about a 40-minute wait for a table, but told bar seating might open up sooner (around 30 minutes). They took my number and we stepped outside to take a walk around the block while we waited. We ended up getting a text about the bar seat availability in about 15 minutes. Once we got seated at the bar, things turned around quickly. The space has a really cozy, intimate vibe with dim lighting, warm atmosphere and overall it feels thoughtfully put together. We ordered hot toddies to drink, which were perfect for the weather, and for food we got the Japanese sweet potatoes and the cavolo nero pesto. Both dishes were incredibly delicious - flavorful and well-balanced. Just be prepared for a wait (and maybe stay nearby instead of wandering off), but once you're in, it's a great experience!
