    Shrimp Scampi
    Annie N.

First time here with hubby he said it was good so I wanted to try it. The restaurant looks nice and clean. The employees was very nice she ask what we like kept coming back to see how we love our meal. The Shrimp Scampi is very good, my husband knows I love seafood. My hubby enjoy his Meat Lover's Calzone. Food:4/5 Service: 4/5 Would I recommend: Yes, if you're down in Stockton please check out this place.

Bruschetta Chicken - low carb option
    Kerry K.

Our server was very cheerful and checked on us regularly to refill our drinks and remove plates. Since I am on a low carb diet, I was very pleased they had items marked on the menu "low carb" and provided zoodles (spiral zucchini) as an option for pasta. I had the chicken bruschetta, which was a great proportion size, chicken was good and loved the balsamic, it was very heavy on the basil. Husband had the fettuccini Alfredo and stated the sauce wasn't that great. We have ate here before and he has always liked the Alfredo, just not today. As always the salad was delicious, I always love the addition of the raisins which gives a great sweetness. As always we will be back since it's one of the better affordable pasta options in the Lodi area.

This restaurant has been on my list to try for a little while. Decided to visit on a Saturday night. The restaurant is clean and well lit. The majority of customers were dining families. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. My order came with a salad, which I enjoyed. There was also bread included but no olive oil / balsamic to accompany it. I ended up trying the chicken picatta, which comes with broccoli and mashed potatoes. The mash potatoes were well seasoned. The broccoli was fine. I was somewhat disappointed with the lack of flavor and portion size of the chicken picatta. The chicken breast was small and perhaps needed more capers. The sauce covering it was bright yellow but had no flavor. My wife had the salmon pescattora which she enjoyed very much. In conclusion, Strings is a good casual dining restaurant for families and couples alike.

WARNING: DECEITFUL PRACTICES. First complaint, guy who took my name forgot to write it down. I noticed he sat three people before me then when i told him about it he apologized and sat us down. Fine. I ordered the pasta siena. I ordered it because I LOVE SUN DRIED TOMATOES in pasta, guess what you get FRESH TOMATOES. i told the waitress and she suggested "we can saute some sundried and give it to you on the side" So you do have it on stock but decided to replace the ingredient without notice to the customer. Sun dried is more expensive than roma tomatoes. Ambiance is nice tho. I cant believe they would deceive people with cheaper ingredients in hopes of someone not noticing.

    Lasagna and tortellini

I ordered Sunday dinner here through Door Dash. I had not enjoyed their food since they remodeled. I was pleased that at the time, they were offering a large percentage off before 6pm for their entrees. I decided to try the Lasagna and Tortellini combo with a cup of minestrone soup. The minestrone soup tasted great. Not salty and the perfect blend of vegetables and seasoning. However, the tortellini stole the show for me! It had a delightful cheesy sauce and along with the lasagna I was in italian dinner heaven! They also included some of their bread which was lightly toasted and seasoned. I most definitely want to dine in next time.

    Pepperoni Calzone!

Got a craving for their peperoni calzone last night and I was shocked to see that I haven't updated this review in like 10 years! I can't believe how long I have been coming here. This place is a staple in Lodi. I loved the old Tuscan vibe of the resturaunt but the remodel is truely lovely; super sleek, clean and modern. If you have time, I suggest dining in as they are always generous with salad and bread but I always seem to be in a rush! My calzone was delicious as always, though it seems to be filled with less and less pepperoni over the years and for me to pay $17 for a take out calzone, you know it has to be good. I love their fresh marinara and the salty pepperoni and as long as they are open I will keep coming back here!

    Lemon Spaghetti & Shrimp

I frequent this restaurant and have noticed a few changes over the years that make me believe it's no longer worth dining here. Most notably, there are menu changes without the menu actually being modified, there is no longer freshly grated parmesan (they will offer you parmesan cheese and bring out the same dried cheese shaker you expect to see at a pizza joint), less complimentary bread is given, and no offer of refills. The restaurant is beautiful and clean with decent service but it's evident things are going downhill. I will admit my party's food was good but we won't be back.

It's been a long while since i was at a String's. Based on the sunday night crowd they are popular. Busy but seated quickly by pleasant hostess. Greeted by our server Lyndsay who was pleasant and did a great job. Ordered chianti and breaking bud. they do have several wines and beers to select from. Reviewed menu and asked our server for reco and she said the shrimp scampi and salmon over angel hair was her favorite. So I ordered asked for some capers to be added. We also had beef tortalinni and we both enjoyed some fresh endless salad. It's so good. Rolls are garlicky and hot. Everything was fresh and good Didn't leave a crumb. Look forward to coming back and trying some other items.

They have the best selections on their menu and the food is always great. The ambiance is awesome and their waiters and waitresses are wonderful. We tried the Crispy Artichoke Hearts and the Shrimp FRA Diavolo. Both were very delicious - We're hoping they willget added to the regular menu.

Ok, its really just me but I found this little hidden gem tucked away in Lodi. I ordered the cheeseburger with fries and a coke. The hubby ordered the chicken sandwich and fries. Hands down one of the best burgers I ever had. It was seasoned and cooked perfectly. I asked for some jalepenos and added to my burger for a little spice. The patty was thick and juicy. Cant go wrong here. It was so good that a week later I was back and ordered the same thing. As a foodie, of course I tried my husbands chicken sandwich and it did not disappoint. It was not dry and it was well seasoned. I'm a southern girl so proper seasoning is key. Ambiance: Loved the ambiance at the Brick House. A cross between Cheers and old school Italian. It was clean, well decorated and nicely located in the charm of downtown Lodi. Service: The service was really good. Both times I went my server was Nathan. He was friendly, knowledgable and helpful. We chatted for quite a while as we arrived shortly after they opened and before the crowd started to arrive. The food arrived quickly and Nathan checked on us often to make sure we were well taken care of. Parking: Parking is not horrible but like in any downtown you may have to walk a block or two. Overall: Excellent menu options for dinner and lunch. The menu is not so varied that they are a jack of all trades and master of none but its just enough for you to find something delicious to hit the spot. The portion sizes are excellent. I mean you saw how big my burger was. Good food, good service means I will be back. Get over here!!!!

We also got the Gorgonzola Fries & Burrata Bowl... both were really good, def recommend. I wish I got pictures of everyone's food which all looked delicious, but they all loved their orders. I got to try the Gnocci with meat sauce (YUM!). I got the Pesto Seafood Pasta & it was so good! Def recommend if you like seafood. I'll def be back to try the Farmer's Special since they sold out.

The place gets busy fast, which is always a good sign, and the food absolutely lives up to the hype. Everything tastes fresh, hot, and made with care. The appetizers are consistently a standout, and the potato skins are a must. Get them Sicilian style. They're savory, satisfying, and the kind of starter everyone at the table keeps reaching for. Honestly, they set the tone for the whole meal. A quick tip: get there early, ideally right when they open. The parking lot is small and fills up quickly, but there is extra parking along the side of the building and behind it, which helps. Still, this is definitely the kind of place where arriving early makes the whole experience easier. And save room for dessert. Seriously. You have to get dessert. This is not the place to skip it. Yes, you may have to wait a bit, but that's part of the deal with well-loved local restaurants like this. The good news is your patience pays off. Guantonio's is warm, welcoming, delicious, and absolutely worth the wait. Here's a slightly punchier version too, in case you want it to sound even more like a real Yelp post: Guantonio's is such a gem in Lodi and definitely one of those local favorite spots that people keep coming back to for a reason. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and worth every bit of the wait. The appetizers are so good, but the potato skins are the real star. Order them Sicilian style. So good. Crispy, hearty, and packed with flavor. One of those appetizers you start thinking about before you even come back. Pro tip: come early, right when they open, because this place fills up fast. The main parking lot is pretty small, but there's more parking on the side of the building and behind it. Once you know that, it's a lot easier. Also, do yourself a favor and get dessert. Don't even debate it. This place gets busy, the wait can build, but your patience will absolutely pay off. Guantonio's is 100% worth it.

The space has a clean, modern neighborhood feel with a bit of personality. Inside, it's bright and minimalist with warm wood tables, shelves of wine bottles, and a small retail touch (cards, merch) that gives it a local/artisan vibe. There's also a covered outdoor seating area with string lights that looked like a good option for warmer evenings. It's casual but thoughtfully put together, somewhere between a wine bar and a pizza spot. Service stood out as a strong point. It's first-come, first-served (no reservations), but we were seated right away. Staff were prompt and efficient throughout the meal, checking in regularly without hovering, and pacing everything well. We had time to finish our salad before the pizza came out, and they gave us a natural break before dessert. No long waits, no rushing... just well-managed service. We started with the capri salad. I thought it was fresh and well-balanced, but my partner wasn't particularly impressed, and so I'd call that one mixed reviews depending on your expectations. For the main event, we ordered the pepperoni pizza "Nick's way" (with ricotta and hot honey). This was the highlight of the meal. The crust was well executed, nicely cooked with a good chew, not too thick and not overly thin. The pepperoni and hot honey combination worked really well, giving it that sweet-and-savory balance that keeps you going back for another slice. The cheese was excellent, with the ricotta adding a nice contrast. If I had one critique, it's that the sauce was a bit light. I would've preferred a slightly heavier hand there to round things out, but it didn't take away from the overall quality. We each had a glass of wine, my partner had a Pinot, and I had a red blend (not labeled as a house wine, and I couldn't find the exact winery afterward). The by-the-glass selection is limited, but they do have a fairly extensive bottle selection if you want more options. For dessert, we both went with sundaes and honestly, these are worth coming back for on their own. Simple, well done, and genuinely satisfying. If you're nearby, it wouldn't be a stretch to stop in just for dessert. Overall, a strong neighborhood spot with excellent pizza, well-paced service, and standout desserts. A few minor limitations (light sauce, limited wine-by-the-glass options), but definitely worth a visit.

I was recommended to try the pork schnitzel by my friend and it did not disappoint. I got my sandwich with a side salad. We also ordered the deviled eggs to share. My friend has never had the deviled eggs before and pleasantly surprised and delighted that the eggs were absolutely delicious. They're very smooth, eggs were cooked perfectly and the touch of bacon was just right. It does come with a small helping of mixed greens topped with pickled onions. The pork schnitzel was crispy & crunchy due to the breaded pork loin, came with pickled onions, slaw and the chipotle aioli sauce. The sauce does have a bit of a kick to it but it wasn't too spicy, well, at least for me. My salad was very good too. It was colorful and had an interestingly tangy dressing on it. We sat inside, where the space features exposed brick, artwork throughout, and very comfortable seating... my partner specifically pointed that out. Service was excellent. Our server, Lacy, was friendly, attentive, and witty - easily one of the best servers we've had in a while. For drinks, I had a local Oak Farm red wine that was excellent. Others in our group had mimosas, which were well received... especially the grapefruit mimosa, which my partner really enjoyed. For food, there were several highlights. My partner had the chicken and waffles and loved it; I tried some and would agree it was very good. Another person in our group ordered the steak breakfast tacos, which came as a set of three. They only ate two, and I had the third and it was delicious and something I would recommend. Another in our group had the eggs Benedict and thought it was excellent. I had the biscuits and gravy with fried eggs. It was okay, but not something I would go out of my way to order again. In terms of value, prices felt consistent with the quality of the food, service, and overall setting. It's not a budget brunch spot, but it feels appropriate for the experience. Overall, it was a really enjoyable Easter brunch with great service, a comfortable and well-designed interior, and several strong menu items. I'd rate it a 4 out of 5, though if half-points were an option, this would land closer to a 4.5. We'd definitely come back.
